Thanks Ben, this is the right toutorial at the right time! This is what an official Insta tutorial should look like. I think I will watch the video a few more times to learn with it.
Fantastic Ben! I've hesitated buying a Insta360 because I wasn't sure how easy it would be to edit. Your video is superb and makes it clear it's easy and powerful to use. Thanks!
As a not terribly creative sort, I always dread the thought of videoing then editing experiences. This gives me so much more confidence knowing I can just video as I go and change perspective later. Then let the 360 app do a lot of the horsepower for me. Thanks!!
This tutorial is so solid. Thank you so much! I was just looking for how to edit jump cuts but now I know how to use all the app's editing features. To answer your question: I'm using my insta360 to shoot myself as a mermaid underwater and as a stiltwalking butterfly queen on land. I was using a GoPro but found myself constantly frustrated with the limited field of view and how I'd mis-frame the shot being that I was also the subject. Hopefully now I can capture what I'm hoping to! Thanks again!
Ben, you're an incredible 360º imagery ambassador! I've finally (today, minutes ago) bought the Insta360 X3 (pretty sure I did it through one of your links) and can't wait to start getting better footage and putting some of your awesome tips to use on the new cam (I have a One X now). I'd love to get into 360º property imagery and this seems to be a great balance between my budget and the quality I'll need, so thanks for all your input.
I have followed you for more than a year and as usual your content is on point! Sitting with my son as he is editing his clip for his high school graduation today.
Thanks Ben for this wonderful video I learned a lot from you on how to use the 360 app properly hahaha i am new at this camera and this app and your video was really helpful.
I've already learned some of this already but there is a lot I didn't know. So thanks for the video. I shall be watching closely for more. Thanks again 👍😁
Thank you, Ben, for this awesome guide! I do still have a question you may be able to answer. How can I cut out certain parts of a clip? I don't want to trim a start and end time, but rather cut a piece out of the middle or wherever and keep the existing footage. Also, is there a way to split a clip in the album menu into two or more clips that would become available in the album menu?
Hi! Loved your video! You convinced me to buy the Insta360 camera and go play with this great app. Question: can you watch the result on a Google Cardboard or do you need a different way to edit for that?
Thanks Ben! I like this tutorial video as I am -planning to use my Insta OneX camera for the upcoming vacation trip to Vancouver+Toronto. I bought this camera for a while but still doesn’t know how to edit the video clips and photos!! Now it’s time for me to practice and get ready before our trip in early July.
Thanks for this, very helpful. Using the app manually can drive me nuts. I’ll put in key frames but it jumps or rotates the opposite way for no reason!
good video man. I'm thinking about getting the 360 x3. I make kayak fishing videos. I'm getting tired of moving the camera. it would be soo much easier to place the camera in front of me. then I can reframe it like me setting the hook. and then the fish jumping out of the water. best tutorial I've seen on this subject too far!
Great video Ben...I live in Tassie...Could you please do a video on taking still photos with the 360x2....particularly the Insta Pano I think they call it....where you can take a a panorama photo...I would love to see how they turn out...
Great video! Quick question, is downloading and exporting from the phone results into a poorer final quality than from the studio on laptop? Does it make a significant difference?
Hi is there a night mode? I came to found out At night time is impossible to see. Or some kind of setting? I try and all didn’t work good .great video Ty 👍
Hi there! I loved uour video's! I have a question regarding editing the video's. Each time when I want to edit a/the video with my phone it looses the connection with WiFi. I find it a great disadvantage because it costs me data. Is there a setting that I overlooked to avoid that or is it a standard default of the Insta360 Ace Pro?
Thanks Ben. I know it’s all down to your enthusiasm and practice, but like an Olympic athlete you make it look all so easy. Me I get frustrated and switch to my computer. I really should stick with the app.
Ben, this tutorial is sooo helpful! A couple of questions tho - total newbie here, waiting for my x3 to arrive for a trip to the Birdsville Track & beyond. 1 - Do I need internet to transfer & use the editing app, because, well you can see my problem 😉! Website says it’s only compatible with android for wired connection, & the quick reader isn’t compatible with my iPad Air. 2 - Can I use a regular card reader to download? And 3 - daft one, but when you press export, where are you exporting it to? 😂, I’m so old!! If you can help, thanks!
I knew everything but the reframing photo. Used to do everything on the Theta app for photos.
Thanks Ben, this is the right toutorial at the right time! This is what an official Insta tutorial should look like. I think I will watch the video a few more times to learn with it.

Got my first 360 Insta one inch, man it not easy for beginner...time flying... Thank you a lot for detailed edit introduction .
Lots of fun wow.
I keep coming back to your excellent vids for the Insta360X3 camera for more ideas when making cycling videos. Thanks!
My pleasure 😇

This is the first video I watched on editing with 360 and think I’ll be watching all your vids. Was very good and helpful.

Yes- there is a jump cut feature in the trim menu after navigating to the clip you want to edit 👍🏻

Hi! Loved your video! You convinced me to buy the Insta360 camera and go play with this great app. Question: can you watch the result on a Google Cardboard or do you need a different way to edit for that?
Thanks- for that you’ll need to export as an actual 360 video
Thank you!
Reframing lets you have fun AND record footage. and still end up with watchable video! It's the insta360 killer feature
Fantastic. Is it possible to change the FOV? For example, change the 360 to linear so you don't see the curvature at the corners? Many thanks.
Thanks for this, very helpful. Using the app manually can drive me nuts. I’ll put in key frames but it jumps or rotates the opposite way for no reason!
Thank god I’m not the only one, been tearing my hair out

Excellent video
Hi Ben great video . Hiw did you edit your video
Did you downloaded all the video from your camera to the phone
Thank you
So good dude!!
welldone, thanks for sharing"
Hi!Nice video.I have a question.Why the app export
the video at 1080p and not at 4k or 5.7k?
I prefer slower pace edits & less jump cuts when demonstrating. Are you satisfied that 5.7 resolution in 360 alone is ok for VR ?
