It seems you can make an AI analysis of almost every clip in the desktop software. Just right click on the video icon and there you find this possibility. I just found out yesterday. When did they ad this feature?
problem with the music on the insta360 app is that when you upload your video (with the music) on social media, some platforms flag it as unauthorized and they mute the sound or give you a copyright strike. weird huh? what i do instead is i just add music during uploading using what is available from the library of the social media platform. this is my experience at least. great tutorial, btw. 😂

3 Points to add: 1. If adding Insta music to the video - It's for personal use only - Don't upload the clip to the Tube. 2. Joining clips together using any means in the Insta app - One MUST reframe. There is no way to join 360 clips together in the app. And lastly - Multi view. For many of us this is a worthless feature. Reason - The 2nd window one can't reframe. The software will always reframe centered on your face. Otherwise informative video -- Thanks Ben !!

Coming from video editing (Adobe and Davinci) everything I see on these how to edit on insta360 app doesn't show how to edit full videos with cutting out what you don't want. I'm thinking about buying an x4 to vlog with so I can edit on the go with my ipad pro, but these seem very confusing. how is basic editing with the app?
Same problem here, coming from traditional video editing the insta360 is not very logical. A simple feature that doesn't seem to exist in a logical place is to use the 360 video as a multicam source (changing the view instantly as opposed to a motion to the next keyframe.

Hi Ben - great video, this has really help me get started with the editing process, thank you. One problem I'm having however is, when I add music this speeds up along with the increased speed of the video clip, rather than just laying down along the length of the multi-clip video. I did also try exporting the final edited multi clip video to iMovie, putting a soundtrack and title pages in, but then I found that the soundtrack caused the video audio (of me speaking) to be out of sync/dubbing! I'm looking to have soundtrack over my video, which will reduce in volume for the speech parts of the video. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Samantha, so inside my 360 Video 101 course I teach both Davinci resolve & premiere pro, both of which can handle multiple mediums. Would suggest checking it out if you haven’t already 👍🏻
Splendid video as always, you can also use any ShotLab. You just need to create the ShotLab video first and export it. In Stories when you add a video you need to select "Phone" as source. This allows you to add any video that is on your phone, so also the exported ShotLab videos, reframing is not possible as these are non 360 videos. It also allows you to mix in any video on your phone. Not sure if it works on iPhone, but that is how it works on android.
Question: Is it possible to export the video in 360 so I could upload it to RUclips as a 360 video? No keyframes. The viewer can pan and zoom in and out while watching the video on YT or do I have to do that type of export from the desktop app still ?

Can you multi edit clips from different cameras? Say you had an X3 and a one x2 recording at the same time. Can you put both clips into the timeline and multi edit them together using the mobile app interface?

Hi Ben. I use my One RS on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and my iPad Pro M1. At first, my One RS is registered on my iPhone. And when I want to connect it on my iPad, I get a message telling me that the camera is "already used by another smartphone". I found a workaround by taking OneRS as "wifi connection" and in this case it works. But I no longer have a network on the iPad (which is a non-GSM version). Do you know of a solution that is more elegant and more respectful of Apple guidelines? (i.e. which does not require changing WiFi connection and losing the network)
I use my Insta360 One x2 bothe on my iPhone and iPad. No problem. Perhaps with startup it connects directly to your phone??? Close Bluetooth on your phone and connect with your iPad.
@@BenClaremont No, restarting the BT does not solve the problem. When I try to connect the camera to the iPad, Insta360 tries to connect to the ONE RS xxxx.OSC Wifi network. The connection attempt is therefore made via Wifi (and it fails). Thank you for your help
@@BenClaremont through usb c and files you can access your solid state drive . Meaning you can off load files to SSD instead loading files you want back on camera so you can view them and use them.. right now there no way for you to see them or use them unless you jail brake or get a pirated ver of insta app

Every time I’ve used it it’s reduced video quality. So I wouldn’t, but it’s worth testing for yourself as they do make regular updates to improve features like this.

Mobile will reduce the quality… so yes I’d still recommend desktop

Those things are better done yourself where you can control it based on what each clip needs 👍🏻

You might want to save the clips to your phone- as that will solve those problems 👍🏻

Why Insta 360 app does not support videos captured from Insta 360 EVO?
I don’t know. They used to have a dedicated app for the EVO, perhaps it’s still available.

You should be able to connect to multiple devices. Try resetting Bluetooth etc.

At 3:30, I wish you would have shown that you can click each individual clip at the bottom and reframe it however you want to.
I don’t see the point of why you’d do that instead of the reframing method I showed.

Can you put in your own music?
Yes- but right now it’s not easy as it doesn’t want you to use copyrighted music, so you have to extract audio from videos on your camera roll.
