Gail’s gonna be a good mom. New, improved Carlito Brigante. Hope she uses the money to get out. No room in this city for big hearts like hers... Sorry, baby, I tried the best I could. Honest. Can’t come with me on this trip, though... Gettin’ the shakes now. Last call for drinks. Bar’s closin’ down. Sun’s out. Where we goin’ for breakfast? Don’t wanna go far... Rough night. Tired, baby... Tired...
Buzz Morgan it is possible that he might've gotten medical treatment and survived. I mean how do we know he didn't? It was never confirmed that Carlito died.
they could have done a better job with this movie, as a period piece. i don't think they captured the full flavor of new york city in the mid-70s..."got to be real" is from 1978, i believe and some of the music was cliched "Rock the Boat" and "backstabbers"; they should have used more white or black music, soul and rock not all disco or latin music; at least they didn't feature the bee gees or k.c. and the sunshine band but coulda used some Pick Up The Pieces or All right Now - they should have set the music in 1977
Cory Miguel Braxton sure, but puerto ricans didn't listen exclusively to latin-type music...i knew puerto ricans who almost never listened to that, they listened to American type disco, the pop music of the era, and rock - if they'd have thrown in a little more of that they wouldv'e given the movie more of a 1970s feel...this movie was great in a lot of ways, but it failed to sufficiently give off that 70s vibe in my estimation...with the exception of the party at Kleinfeld's house "I Love Music" by the O'Jays...
the best scene ever made....I think
sleepy dank agree
I like the way he narrate his passage to somewhere else, the somewhere nobody alive knows.... yet. when I'll die, I will rehearse those words.
"I tried the best I could... honest".
Tears...
This movie here is in my Top 5 movies of all times.
My Favorite Al Pacino movie and this scene gets me every time. If he just left Bennie alone, he and Gail would be renting cars right now.
Or if he would have just killed him they'd be renting cara now as well
True that:) Oh Gail, he broke your heart again.
She predicted this the FIRST night he went to help Kleinfeld on the boat.

Al Pacino was playing a Puerto Rican. Most of the main characters were Latin what do you expect? Lmao
