Great video! All good points. Can’t wait to get mine. This is such a great deal. I think you’re right. I think it will probably pay for itself with the home owners insurance discount.

Just got the email that my kit shipped today. I can't wait! As for the insurance discounts, we are actually saving more than the cost of the monitoring with the discount from our homeowners insurance. It's a win-win!

The BIG thing you failed to mention is this setup has NO cellular backup/failover. So when your internet goes so does the WHOLE system and you get NOTHING! It's like Smartthings! The internet goes down the hub is for the most part worthless! This is a HUGE issue! For another $40 with Ring a year you get cellular backup and know what the heck is going on if your internet goes (Storm, high winds, a pole is taken down due to an accident) it's completely useless in these situations! If you have rock-solid internet then yeah go for it but you should have mentioned this HUGE flaw!

I’d rather save the $40 because wyze will figure it out ring cameras are priced way to high

      @@user-sl4ul4nc3t ,
Lol! Have you even looked into the OUTRAGAOUS prices the big (3) carriers want to charge you for that "easy" option???? Try at best an additional $40 dollars a month whether you actually use it or not and only 1Gb and Cha-ching after that amount depending on the carrier! If you found a better source/carrier please share cuz those prices are ridiculous to say the least! All recent routers support Dual-LAN (failover) and even on the cheap end these days. Most charge you for a voice/data plan and when you tell them it's for data failover most tell you they do not support that! Again, if you've found an alternative please share! I just need DATA - not TEXTS/SMS, VOICE and VOICEMAIL!
ALSO, did you look into pricing for the "simple" HOT-SPOT connection??? Try $250 PLUS for a hot-spot keeping in mind it works with the carrier and router you want to use! I tried to play this game and gave up as it was TOO expensive per month. I looked into FreedomPop and their rates were cheaper ($7.50 a month) but acquiring a SIM card and compatibility was a rabbit-hole based on my research, calls, and emails. Please put your money where your mouth is if this is SO EASY!
