You have two grand lads… their outlook and charm is a testament to you. :) And their laughs and smiles are infectious. One of the key reasons I am finding it hard to do the same as them is my mum is 84 and has no one else. She lives with me since my dad died and I promised him I would look after her. The lads are a true inspiration and two of the best people on all of You Tube. They deserve to become one of the biggest sailing channels on here.
Hey Julian Thank you so much our mum is so proud 🙏 And we are proud of her because she is the best mum ever. We hope you get to live your dreams and I bet your mum is ever so proud of you! 😁
AWESOME!! BRAVO ZULU [USN "WELL DONE]. Definitely, a life event shared with us thru RUclips as TRULY AUTHENTIC; NO HUBRIS; NO Phony Theatre with Actors as so often found on RUclips. Wow thank you Bernard That is so very kind of you to say, you certainly have made a smile today. We filmed everything how it was on the day. Keep it real 😁 We believe it's what people want to see 😜
Brilliant film. best we have ever seen going thru the canal. It really communicated the feel of transiting from Atlantic to Pacific. Perry and Simonne East Cowes
When we left Cardiff I never would have thought we would be in Panama. It's been a crazy 2 years of adventure! Thanks for sticking with us from the start 😁🤘
Our trip in 1987 cost $800 US. We used our own lines and fences often borrowing from other yachts. We helped another boat go through and then got the train back from pacific side to Colon. In return another boat helped us go through. Yachties helping each other.
800 us sounds pretty good but I guess it was back in 87. We tried to get line handlers from other boats in the marina but they all let us down so we have to hire.
Congratulations guys. Your videos are so good, the quality just gets better and better. Always a good evening when you know there is a new video of yours to watch. 😊
Brilliant ... not many have done what you've done to even get to the canal. And all taken in your stride ... no drama ... well done lads. Again .... Brilliant 👍😃
Been following you since you left Wales - seems like only a few weeks ago - in the time between then and now you have done more than most people will ever be able to do in a lifetime. What an amazing achievement. Inspirational.
We really appreciate you following all the way from Wales Barry. It's been a crazy adventure so far and it's really only just begun. It's all thanks to this amazing support!! 👌🙏😁
As one emotional chapter of your adventure closes like a Panama lock, a new chapter begins and exciting times ahead. The Atlantic will still be washing our Welsh shores boys and will be waiting upon your return. In the mean time look onward and upward to new experiences and relish the excitement, it’s what keeps us young at heart. All the best and keep safe.😊👍
It was emotional for us when the lock closed on the Atlantic Ocean. We have the Great Pacific Ocean at our keel and eventually we will be back in the Atlantic. Until then the adventure continues and its fantastic to have you all along with us 👍💪🙏
Major achievement guys. I hope you head towards the Hawaiian Islands, no other RUclipsrs have. But wherever your course heads, I shall be watching. You have both grown so much after your initial sail around the UK. God speed gents. Take care 👍
Thanks Dale We are heading to French Polynesia from Panama. Maybe next time round we can visit Hawaii. It is amazing how far we have come since sailing around the UK never thought of a million years we would be here today 🙏
Well done guys, bought back great memories. I took my R38 through in 1987. Looks like not much has changed. We towed a smaller boat the whole way through as it didn’t have an engine. The advantage being we kept all 4 lines on our boat. I was concerned for your chocks tied next to the heavier boat. Looks like you worked it through well. You will need a cockpit cover of some sort in the pacific as the sun is ferocious. We fabricated one out of aluminium poles and u bolts. I made a cavas that lashed over the poles. We put a hose fitting in the middle to attach some garden hose too and it doubled as a water collector. The advantages were that it could be taken down in rough weather if needed. It looked very Heath Robinson but was very effective and we kept our water tanks topped up with occasional squalls
Hi Sally A beautiful R38 👌 So you towed a boat all the way through with no engine wow I don't think they would allow that these days. We certainly have noticed the Sun here is extraordinarily strong it burns you very quickly. We will set up some sort of tarp once we leave for the Pacific. Did you manage to collect much water? We are wondering how much rain we're going to have out there 🤔
You guys just keep ticking them off. Comparing your first sailing around the UK now seems like a day sail on the park lake! Passing through the Panama Canal is like a door opening to a whole new adventure, what an achievement you both should be very proud of yourselves, well done
It is pretty crazy how far we have come since sailing around the UK. We thought it was quite tricky and rough in parts but now!! It was quite emotional seeing the last lock open up revealing the Pacific Ocean 🌊😁🌍
Amazing to see you get through. I'd have found that tough, sharing the space on the boat and not panicking. Great work by everyone. Looking forward to the next one. Safe travels both!
It was challenging to have all those people on board. It was quite stressful going through sticking to a tight deadline. Looking forward to exploring the Pacific 💪
Lol Adam you looked like you were keen to up from below whatever the time after your night on the lake! 😂 The Epic adventure continues with another ocean!! 👏🏼👏🏼

That brought back some memories. In 1958/9 I was a Deck Officer Cadet on the MV Rakaia and we went through the Panama Canal a few times. A very emotional episode; it's wonderful to share your joy and many a time your story brings a tear to my eye with the raw emotion. Hey Steve It was a dream come true to take our own boats through the Panama canal into the Pacific Ocean, still really hasn't sunk in. Hi Kirk Thanks for the congrats. 26 footer now that is small. Can't imagine all those people on there. I think all the cheese and Atlas beer got us through 😂😂😂
Well done fellas ...one hell of an achievement and one of so many you can be so proud of so far. Deep breath ....enjoy the local sailing first before the big push to Fiji and going without CHEESE for at least a month.
Going through that canal is something we will never forget. We are doing a little bit of exploring here before we head off as we are waiting for a weather window. It's going to be a long time offshore until we get to French Polynesia first stop ⛵⛵⛵. PS we will run out of cheese 🧀😔

Beautifully filmed! The best filming of a sailboat transit I have seen, and I've watched a lot of transits by sailboats. You two are a team beyond belief. One of you is a poet and both artist's in life and this is very evident in your videos. You are able to film so well. Thank You again
Wow! Incredible in so many ways. First time to see the transit from the viewpoint of a boat making the passage. So pleased for you and admit to shedding a tear.
I remember when we made the decision not to go back to our jobs but to sail our boat across the Atlantic. Now we are in the Pacific, it's just mind blowing 🤯

Oh yes!!!!!! Super super happy for you boys! You have done so well. Congratulations.
Thanks for the congrats 🎉😁😁
Wow! Incredible in so many ways. First time to see the transit from the viewpoint of a boat making the passage. So pleased for you and admit to shedding a tear.
Thank you so much 🙏. It was quite an amazing experience going through the canal and popping out the other side was quite emotional for us 😭
Quite a milestone in your lives gents! Long ago, you set your minds to make this achievement. Like nothing else you’ll ever experience.
I remember when we made the decision not to go back to our jobs but to sail our boat across the Atlantic. Now we are in the Pacific, it's just mind blowing 🤯
You guys are amazing! Wonderful adventures ahead……x
Cant wait to get to next adventure underway ⛵
Congratulations!
