I love the way that you don't pretend to be 'know it all's' and you don't hide your mistakes. Everyone can learn from that. You're two genuine Cardiff boys and that's coming from a Newport lad! 😀
Thanks Howard. We film everything how it was, keeping things totally real the way it should be. Thanks Newport lad 👊
Listen lads , another fantastic vid , you both are a breath of fresh air , so innocent in many ways , always excited on your journeys, great culinary skills ( not , 😂) ,miles better than any reality tv shows , each time I watch I want to be there , I’m an addict to sailing brothers, keep it up lads thank you for sharing your life 😎
Hey Ryan. It's an absolute pleasure! We love to to share this adventure with you all. We are just two brothers having a fantastic time and all the support is incredible ⛵✌️
That was a fantastic episode Adam and Luke. Well done, what an achievement. Had a few tears when you sailed into NY harbour. You should be very proud of yourselves. Sandra, Scotland.
It was a fantastic passage finished off with sailing into New York harbour and seeing the metal lady and what a skyline. Sorry for upsetting you Sandra ⛵
Brilliant stuff lads, for you to see the Statue of Liberty for the first time, reminds me of the first time I saw her. I can relate the feeling of awe and wonderment that you both are feeling. Coming all this way under sail is an achievement so few have the opportunity to have, and you, taking us along with you, is an added bonus for us armchair sailors. Words are just not enough to describe what you both have done. Keep the adventures coming along, and fair winds for further times ahead.
Hey Chris. Yes it was an incredible sight to see after only seeing it on television, a true blessing. We still can't believe that we sailed Atlas all the way from Cardiff, it's been a crazy 14 months and a pleasure to share it 😎👊✌️
Luke your lucky you havent been to Lundonistan....its an absolute cesspit. Enjoy the big apple lads am sure your accent will go down well there oh and your good manners and respect.
Americans have been very kind and love our accents 😁. Everybody asks where we are from
Somewhere..out there is a sailor from New York heading for Cardiff. Good luck to them with the Bristol Channel tides......
Take care with the Bristol channel tides 😲
You two have certainly made it to the top of my RUclips sailing watch list. You are so authentic and extremely pragmatic sailors. Common sense in sailing seems to be what you two do best. I also have a 42 year old sailboat ( a Swan 371 that I love) and sail in the Pacific Northwest waters (Oregon, Washington and British Columbia). Your videos are a special talent, keep it up. I enjoy living vicariously through your sailing adventures. By the way I love cheese also, I never leave port with out some cheese on board. Is that a British thing?
Well thank you very much Jeff. The older boats are the best built very strongly and and will last a lifetime. Beautiful yacht the Swan 371. Hopefully one day we will be able to sail the Pacific Northwest Waters. Us brits do love our cheddar cheese 🧀 ✌️⛵
Another box ticked off lads.
Always look forward to every Sunday back here
In Scotland
😁👍🏻
And many more boxes to be ticked off Craig 😁 New York special this Wednesday 6 p.m.
I'm so happy for your enthusiasm at sailing into NYC!
I love your excitement when reaching these milestones.
Well done!!
It was something we only dreamt about and it came true ✌️. We do get overly excited 😁
Well done lads, from Wales to NYC. That is just amazing. Thanks for bringing us along.
It's been one hell of a journey so far and it's only the beginning Ray 👊👌
Actually young men your the ones that are awesome. You have sailed a smallish boat from your home to America. Both of you are rock stars, down to earth and the way you Explain yourselves we all know it's from the heart.
Wow thank you so much Gale that is super nice of you to say so 🙏. The boat is smallish but I'm not too sure about us being rock stars 😁
You 2 make me proud to be an American, even though I couldn't build a sandcastle let alone a skyscraper. Your videos are medicine for the soul, thanks.
Thanks Rory that's really nice of you to say 🙏😁
Aww Wow 😭 I’m so super super proud of you both! You always make me cry/emotional when you reach these huge milestones! You both are so inspirational, I cannot express how much. Atlas is just the most trusty best friend in the world for you both. Sending my love, this was just incredible to watch tonight 🙂🧀⛵️🗽💝
Hi Cara. Thank you so much, really sorry we made you cry. Atlas is our best friend she looks after us and we look after her. Really glad you enjoyed tonight's episode ⛵😁😎

Amazing guys so pleased for you both.
The only RUclips channel without bikinis and fakeness .
Maximum respect to you both .
Thanks very much Lee 🙏. It would be nice to have some bikinis on the channel 😁😂
@@TheSailingBrothers there is definitely a joke in there but best leave it there .
What an exciting journey it was for me watching Atlas under sail up the coast and into NYC !! ⛵😀 I'm born and raised down south in Georgia. My Navy ship was overhauled in Brooklyn, so I spent 15 months in NYC...bought my 1st new car there, and had lots of fun when the street fairs occurred in the summer. I hope the city treated you well and got to see all you hoped to see. Proud of you guys!! Was fun watching!!!
Hi Scott. It was a fantastic passage and extremely exciting to sail into New York harbour. Spending 15 months in New York city I bet that was an eye-opener, wow. We absolutely love New York City 👌✌️
@@TheSailingBrothers Thats such an accomplishment! I did enjoy my time there (1984-85), lol.
I'm excited for next video to see all you experienced while being there....and seeing sooo many people moving at a "New York pace"! Happy Sailing , Guys!!

Fantastic achievement Adam & Luke. So many of us let life get in the way of our dreams, glad you didn't. You stepped up to the challenge and were able to conquer it! Well done! Now, where next?
We figured life is very short and if you have a dream then you must make it happen. Canada until October then heading back to South to the Caribbean. Panama canal is calling

What are the odds on finding a New York cheese sponsor? I'd love to see your review of the product!
Pethaps fans should be scouting for cheese shops in in advance of your arrivals in different ports? Weekly cheese reviews, imagine that!!!
We would love to have a cheese sponsor that would be amazing. Trying different cheeses from around the world and doing a review 😁
Your are still the best sailing Channel
You're making us blush Paul 🤭

Well done lads amazing
Cheers Mark 🙏
My father went to sea when he was fifteen years old in 1949. New York City was his favourite city. He sailed all over the world, but mainly on the American continent and Africa. Not as much on Australia and Asia. He also spoke warmly of Buenos Aires and Cape Town. It must have felt like being hit on the head with something hard and heavy for a teenager growing up in a rather poor family to see New York at that age. I believe it changed him too. Well it was a different world, and life at sea was very different as well. Dad told me they could stay in a harbour for weeks waiting for cargo. They surely must have gotten to know the areas well. My dad went to sea so close after WWII that he knew sailors who had sailed in convoys and had been torpedoed. They were so traumatized many of them that they never slept below deck. It was a different life..
Great video . Thank you. Atlas sure sails very well! I’m impressed by her performance! She’s a dream..🤠
Thank you so much for the story it was fantastic to read. Love to hear your family history of how it used to be. Appreciate you taking the time ✌️✌️✌️✌️
@@TheSailingBrothers My pleasure! I just saw you raise the mast and install a new cooker on Atlas. It was a great sail you had to Nova Scotia. I guess the name «New Scotland» is appropriate, as you mentioned it was like being in Scotland. So many nice places. One of my closest friends live there. I have never met him, but we write to each other almost every day. I used to have facebook so I «met» him there, after I commented somthing about Norway, so he asked for my friendship, and here we are, six years later. His father was Norwegian, but he’s never been here. He is 81 years old, so most likely he will never do. I hope that you will some day, for we have indeed a beautiful coast! Fair winds to you. Tomorrow night I will continue the adventure. It surely is very interesting. See you! Regards, Per.🤠👍🏻
Well done boys, awesome achievement.
Thanks Gary 😁

I appreciate your ability to see the best parts of the places you go.
So many here, in the US don't appreciate what we have, where it came from or what it has cost. Realistically, we're far from perfect,, but better for folks like you coming with fresh eyes.
You've taken them with you all along and helped us see things we might have missed otherwise.
