Thank you for such an amazing film, it felt very special to watch it 😊And thank you for waiting until the very last second of it to show the absolute CRINGIEST thing I've ever done on camera (and God knows... I've done cringy things on camera) 😂

@julesprichards Thank you so much! It was hard work to fit all that adventure into one film and make it make sense to someone who hasn't seen it all :)

Thanks to you, Sophie & Ryan, I've learned a thing or two about all the pro's and con's of nomadic travelling. Hearing about those f**k ups. Thanks for the heads up there, now I definetly want to go explore more.

Also what on earth is wrong with the views and subscribers on your channel? I thought you'd have at the very least a few hundred thousand subscribers.. Keep at it, it'll happen soon enough

Thank you!! I’ve been kind of sceptic about putting ad money on these vids but I decided to give it a go to get more eyes like yours on them.

Nice film, and a good reminder of some of the highlights and lowlights of Ryan and Sophie’s videos. It’s their honesty that makes them not only such a good channel to watch, but also a great subject for a film like this.
    Honesty, and that seal impression!

Oh, I remember the COVID part where I was the next-door neighbour (my boat can be seen left-of-frame at 16.21). Or a member of the "lock-down family" if you will. I remember that Sophie - well and Ryan - became increasingly anxious about the situation. I feel like Sophie found the 3 months of lockdowns sufficiently oppressive that she ended up with a kind of anti-Saint Martin PTSD afterward, wishing never to return without ever having had an opportunity to experience the great parts of this place. My view of the experience is different. It was frustrating and anxiety inducing, and worrisome and a little dull at times, but at the same time it was unique and exciting and one of the most important episodes of my life. We made these strange friendships through this shared experience that I think will last my lifetime, and found out a little bit about ourselves. Resiliency, creativity, a deep need to serve our community, this is all really positive. A far better COVID lockdown experience than my adult kids in Canada.

Thank you for adding your perspective! So awesome to get a lock-down family member in here :)
I think how you deal with different situations is deeply personal and different for every human. And I'm sure St.Martin is much better now than the imprint in Sophie's mind.
      Where are you headed now?

IMHO owning a sailboat is a great addition to a life on land and in that case a 35 to 45 feet monohull would be the right size, depending on whether you are a single or couple w/wo kids.
But to live aboard fulltime ie to completely give up your life on land, a sailboat is too cramped. A 60+ feet trawler would be much more suited for that purpose.

Yeah we all have our own preferences. Sometimes the idea of adventures trump the need for comfort and that’s ok too 🤩
