2001 Toyota MR2. Engine is stock K20a2 with ECU tune (K100/TDi North), mated to an EP3 gearbox with 5.8 final drive, and 1.5 way LSD from Mfactory.
Tyres are 205/50/15 Federal RSR front, 225/45/16 rear.
Stock brakes with DS2500 front pads. ATE Typ200 fluid.
Meister R coilovers 5kg/mm front spring, 7kg/mm rear spring.
Hard Race rear toe/camber links with spherical bushing.
Alignment Front
-2.2 camber
0 toe
Alignment Rear
-3 camber
0.40 toe in
I am not a racing driver. This is a hobby. This is the second time attempting left foot braking on track. It feels really strange but with practice I think I can use it to have more control.

I have a few 574s. Frankly the 574s suck for driving since the sole is so thick that there’s very little pedal feedback. This true even when walking over rocks.

You know the trackday was good when you film the intro when you're driving out.
Great driving around the 10:10 mark really kept it together. Seems like a prime spot with throttle action to cause lift off oversteer on that last bit of hill climb but the car/you kept it on track. :D
Just got a k20 swapped MR-S here in Texas, great car that I'm still learning the limits on.
Cadwell park looks to have a lot of character, reminds me of a nice tight mountain rd.
What I love most about this mr2 is the lack of “loud” exterior modifications. Fuck that. Sleeper and clean

I was there that day with a few mates and a couple of metros for pre season testing and was surprised to see you out there and i have to say, you can certainly peddle that MR2

The wing absolutely helped your car carry more speed through the corners than your last video with that car at the track. Sweet! Functional for sure.
It wasn't the wing, it was better tyres and very good alignment, plus a few other things made for a stable car. I wanted to take the wing off to see the difference but I only just made the trackday due to driveshaft issues, so was reluctant to start dismantling

Some observations:
1. Syncro/clutch issues?
2. Need to pull the arches a little?
3. The car is so much obviously faster than most things there.
4. You *need* to drive my 2ZZ car back-to-back on track.
1. Gear linkage issues. Lost a clip and cable ties weren't quite tight enough 😅
2. These wheels fitted no problem until I added the track camber/toe. Also had driveshaft issues. I'm going to get an ET45 8j rim soon (currently ET35)
3. The Porsche was a good match and I was overtaken by an E46 M3 in the morning!
4. Only if its an Exige
Was that a Porsche Boxster or a Boxster S? Here in the states spec boxsters are fast..

Looks nicely balanced, the power that the Mk3 MR2 should've always had! Nice driving - getting on the power nice and early with that left foot braking technique into T1.
And you made it home with both your side mirrors intact...nice.

I always knew these were killer cars. People disliked them because they are fwd instead of rwd. But we all know about snap-oversteer so honestly a fwd MR2 makes a lot of sense.

So here I am balls deep into my own mr2 build (albiet a cliché 2zz build) and I finally find your vids
First 'Nani' moment was when I realised you were left foot braking in a mid engine car
Second was double clutching occasionally, which I didn't think was really a thing anymore
What shifter is that you have? Long throw thing?
Do you have a swirl pot? I have issues with fuel cavitation atm

Golly the hardtop looks to good on a mk3. In the states we have to import one or buy one afm. Its roughly 1.5-3k usd for a hardtop, not painted.

Found a supercharged 2zz swapped mr2 spyder for 14k usd. Its dynod at 290rwhp. Should I buy this as a daily driver/ track slut? Supposbly only 100miles on the build and 30k on the chasis.

I miss driving the Integra but it's different with the MR and you're allowed to like both. I think the DC2 would be faster but it has more power and less weight. FF FR MR all have their pros and cons

Nothing better that a V-TEC at full throttle. Well ok maybe a 5 cylinder, V8, V10, or V12 engine sound better but you get my point. :P
