Shootings reported at homes, workplace of 5 New Mexico politicians

Officials in Albuquerque, New Mexico are investigating a string of shootings that appear to be directed at the homes and business of local elected leaders -- all Democrats. Two state senators, a current county commissioner, and a former commissioner and a District Attorney have been affected by the shootings. Nobody was injured in the incidents, and detectives are working to determine whether the shootings are related. “Our elected officials have chosen to serve, they should never be made to feel in danger in the comfort of their own homes,” Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller said.
