Guys I love your channel but since the move I've found myself barely watching... i honestly think you need more EVA foam builds like you were doing... they are much more attainable by shit munchers like myself... I like the other vids but they are what got me hooked...
Is there a better description than "bundled wire" for the wiring you used for the wand? I've been searching for bundle of wire like that but I can't seem to find the right words to get it to come up in an Amazon search
This is going to be extremely helpful when I finally start my build. I've been amassing parts for years, but I've never seen any video that's as step-by-step as this. I'm glad I've waited!
I was running through the YT playlist while laying in bed when this vid popped on. I was dozing, slipping in and out of sleep, dreaming. What a crazy dream you guys helped to create. We were in a spaceship made from cardboard, hot glue, and LEDs powered by cardboard batteries. At one point I realised that our technology had improved because we started to connect all the LEDs to the cardboard batteries using wires rather than strings of hot glue. Trippy
I worked for a vacuum forming company and a few tricks you might use to make your work easier is for dowel your buck plate to your form. This keeps it from shifting. Second since you are using a buck plate set up a router table that has the cutting head at the exact height as the buck plate. Then you trim off any of the abs sheet with a sheer table of other tool then you simply use the router table to trim the part down. You can make a simple router type table but use a grinder attatched to a table where the blade is protected by a shield until you move the formed abs part into it. Hope this helps.
Seems like it would make life a LOT easier to have handles integrated into the undersides of the blanks to aid in removal. Also alignment pins for bucks an risers.

Great work. Have you tried cutting the plastics(abs) with a oscilating tool? I have hear you mention MEK before, MEK disolves ABS so you can make a 'welding' paste/liquid by disolving waste abs with MEK, just be well ventilated when using MEK. it takes a long time to cure but effectivly welds the ABS together. Guys, what a fantastic vid! Someday I'll be able to do this, hopefully, but your knowledge of tools and materials was great....a little intimidating, but very well done. Thank you for this vid! WOW!
This is a small detail which has an easy fix but on the proton pack on the alice frame there is a bit of grey pole foam held to the pack with black tape in the first movie and zip ties in the second movie
So, there are two things you need, Bill. 1) A jumpsuit. 2) And most importantly, a containment unit. So, when are you building it? Gotta clean that trap.
That superglue "welding" technique is exactly what I was looking for, I'm a week or two away from attaching the handles to the Wand and this is going to make a huge difference!
The last time I fiberglassed a mask I sprayed spray adhesive on the inside. Then just ploped the cloth onto that. Lastly brushed on my resin :) I felt it made it cleaner/easier.
Great video, after seeing the PKE Meter and Trap repaints, I was hoping you would do a pack. Having built a couple of packs myself, it was nice to see other tricks and tips on how others do theirs. There were a couple of things I noticed though that I wanted to mention: 1. Under the dixie hook attached to the pack itself, there should be a small aluminum plate for both strength and leveling the hook. 2. Your cyclotron lights merely blink on in sequence, when they should glow during the cycle (both due to your programming and cones you used do not deflect the light) 3. You used the GBFans sound kit for the audio, yet you decided to wire all the lights together yourself, was this a cost/availability thing or just wanted to hand-wire it all with other kits? (The GBFans kits all work nicely together) 4. Did you figure out a way to extend the clear tip of the wand in and out via the usual green lever on the wand?
Thanks for the feedback! All of the decisions for this pack were based on Garrick's design and what we had available in my shop. I think he made all of the electronics decisions based on the microprocessor he planned to use. The clear tip on mine is static.

Guys, what a fantastic vid! Someday I'll be able to do this, hopefully, but your knowledge of tools and materials was great....a little intimidating, but very well done. Thank you for this vid! WOW!
The vacuum forming is so satisfyingl
This is a small detail which has an easy fix but on the proton pack on the alice frame there is a bit of grey pole foam held to the pack with black tape in the first movie and zip ties in the second movie
So, there are two things you need, Bill.
1) A jumpsuit.
2) And most importantly, a containment unit. So, when are you building it? Gotta clean that trap.
Very cool build, you guys! Fun to watch.
And I’m over stuck with the Spirit of Halloween version cuz… well… cost lol. Hoping to get the Wand and Pack from HasbroLabs.
I think your shop ghost may have IBS or something . You always find him in the bathroom lol... Awesome build, great job.
Super bad ass build!! One of the hardest things I ever built but I couldn't afford the details. So much fun!
Yay! Super fun to watch that awesome build! I may have to bring my gear next Emerald City... ;)
Baking soda with the CA, acts like accelerant and also creates and epoxy grade bond you can sand.
Everybody needs a proton pack! Great build.
Thanks!
Oh! I'm building one right now too, this is great timing! 😃
That superglue "welding" technique is exactly what I was looking for, I'm a week or two away from attaching the handles to the Wand and this is going to make a huge difference!
prodestrian glad to help! I used it on some of the tube caps a well, then went back and sanded it down. Makes it look like a grinded weld
I would love to know how you made the metallic looking labels
I believe those are part of Garrick's kit he offers.
Fantastic build Bill, so want one now! Keep them coming
The last time I fiberglassed a mask I sprayed spray adhesive on the inside. Then just ploped the cloth onto that. Lastly brushed on my resin :) I felt it made it cleaner/easier.
Wow! That’s awesome. Nice work gentlemen. I wish I had that.
Thanks very much!
This was a fun build to watch, great work as always (and please make a list of songs used in the vid too)
We get all our music from artlist.io/
@@punishedprops Do you know what the name of the song used in the video is?
Awesome project guys, love the content. Keep um coming!
Great video, after seeing the PKE Meter and Trap repaints, I was hoping you would do a pack. Having built a couple of packs myself, it was nice to see other tricks and tips on how others do theirs. There were a couple of things I noticed though that I wanted to mention:
1. Under the dixie hook attached to the pack itself, there should be a small aluminum plate for both strength and leveling the hook.
2. Your cyclotron lights merely blink on in sequence, when they should glow during the cycle (both due to your programming and cones you used do not deflect the light)
3. You used the GBFans sound kit for the audio, yet you decided to wire all the lights together yourself, was this a cost/availability thing or just wanted to hand-wire it all with other kits? (The GBFans kits all work nicely together)
Simply wonderful!
The intro: "freeedom" - got a like just for that :)
These guys are great!
They make it seem so easy
Ghost FREEDOM!!!!
Good to see Brit again :-)
Next you can add a spring or something that will allow the end of the wand to extend like in the movie. Great build.
That would be fun!
Looks amazing but you forgot to add the vent light in the wand.
