Colleen, you’ve got to look up Synesthesia. It’s a psychological phenomenon that about 1 in every 23 people experience and that’s what you’re experiencing when you talk about Monday being red and November being brown. It’s very complex and there’s a lot of different kinds (such as seeing music or tasting words). You’ll be fascinated if you look it up.
I agree! I experience synesthesia, and have color associations with days of the week, months, numbers, letters, and peoples names. For instance, Thursday, March, and 7 are all dark green. August, Wednesday, and 9 are all orange. The name Ryan and 4 are absolutely pink. I’ve tested myself over time to see if it says consistent, and it DOES! So cool and weird because everyone has different associations.
Yes! My oldest son has this. He was 2 and he said people and letters have a color. We never thought much of it. But I had wrote down what color each letter was. Then in 3rd or 4th grade his principal printed out a page of letters. So I tested him with his original and they were exactly the same. And he has a terrible memory so it wasn't just memorizing 26 colors in order.
“Do you know any blonde Megans?” Then Kory’s edit and I laughed for a solid minute. And Maisy making noises and cracking herself up, adorable. Great vlog.
Reasons Gus doesn’t like Colleen: she put him in costumes & that backpack that made him feel like a goldfish. Reasons Gus loves Erik: they are the same person. Gus is indifferent to people. He’d totally say to the broseph on the longboard “above your pay grade” just like Erik did. Erik is the human Gus aspires to be.
I have only ever known pants that are to short to be called "high waters", or have heard people say "are you expecting a flood" also Maisy's laugh is so cute and makes me laugh every time I hear it, and Wesley looked so big in this vlog they are growing so fast
Re: FLOODERS Growing up, pants that were too short were called "high waters". I never really thought about why. But hearing this whole flood pants thing makes me realize there's probably a regional difference in the variations of this term to describe pants that are too short at the ankle. 😮 I guess it doesn't have to be regional per se but there's definitely a link here!
My goodness! Maisy is going to have Flynn's personality where he likes to make everyone laugh while he laughs at himself with everyone! So flipping ADORABLE!
TTQ/Fun Fact: the “vibes” you and Eric talked about is a interesting phenomenon called synesthesia. Not everyone has it and it is usually seemingly unconnected things. For me: 5 is a girl (and 8), the color blue feels cold, if something sounds bad it tastes bad. Would love to know any others you have!!
When I was in school, different grades and subjects had their own color. Like 5th grade was blue, science class was green or blue, math class yellow. So for math class for example, I’d have a yellow folder lol
Synesthesia! One of my favorite psychological concepts. Watching you and Eric go back and forth on this was absolutely hilarious and satisfying. Love y’all!
TTQ: What are some of your basic “house rules” you have for Flynn? For example: specific bed times, designated screen time, etc. Do you allow him to bend the rules a little bit on special occasions?
When you said that Thursday and November are the same, I could definitely relate because for me they are both a dark orange/brownish color. I have synesthesia, and for me this means that all of my numbers and letters have color and also days of the week and months have colors. Definitely recommend looking up synesthesia because you could have it too
Colleen having her mind blown and Eric just casually saying “oh yeah there’s a lot of things like that about you” just about killed me tonight. Love you Colleen 😂😂😂😂
Hey Colleen! When you’re talking about Thursday being Autumn / Fall (I’m from the UK) it seems like you’re describing synesthesia. It’s where your brain associates say a name with a colour or an object. It’s so interesting if you have time to look into it. Love you and your whole family!! ❤️

Colleen!! What you're talking about is called Synesthesia!! It's a thing, it really is! You hear music and see shapes. Or you hear a word and associate it with a color ❤️
Colleen! It’s called synesthesia! When you automatically assign colors, shapes or objects to certain words. Apparently some people even see names, objects, or words, with a certain place or direction. For example, the name Nicole would be in a field of flowers, and Dave would be at a construction site. For me, I see Thursday as dark green, and the number 4 as purple. But it’s different for everybody. It’s really cool to learn about. So to answer your question, yes I know what you mean.
@@beckigreen I understand that I don’t have it, but I still experience associating words and letters with colors. I know that that is only a tiny part of what synesthesia actually is, so even if I did have it, I understand that it would be a very mild case. I’m not looking for attention. I’m simply trying to spread information and my knowledge about what synesthesia is. I obviously don’t know what it is actually like to have it, I was just giving an example of my experience.
where I live we also call them "high waters". "fluttering" is something butterflies do, so I'm really curious how Colleen connected that to pants. edit: she sort of explained.

I was literally just talking about this with my husband with School subjects. 🤣 Math is red Social studies is blue Science is green English is yellow Surprisingly he totally understood what I was saying🤣
That's interesting! I agree with most of these, except my association for English is different. We had specific colors of notebooks and folders we had to use in elementary school, and English was purple , not yellow. Yellow was spelling. We had a couple others as well. Purple was Religion (I went to a Catholic elementary School). Teal was for reading.
I find it hilarious the “flutter” thing of the pants.. In Puerto Rico in Spanish we call long pants that are too short “brinca charcos” which translates to “jumping puddles” 🤣 so makes sense with what Erik was saying
The way Eric was so spot on with his comparisons lmao. I am a Megan who constantly got confused with this girl named Sarah in school and who is also a brunette.
I just wanna say thank you Colleen for your vlogs I know you probably don’t realize how much you help other people even on a day-to-day basis with even the smallest things but I’ve been going through a lot lately and these have helped keep me afloat and distract my mind sometimes when it all gets too much. We appreciate and love you so much Colleen thank you ❤
I love how Colleen starts talking with Eric about what color Monday is or that Sean and Ryan are the same name. I had an argument the other day about what colors subjects are with my friends. So Tortilla Talk question what color do you think Math, ELA (English Language Arts or literature), Science, and Social studies (history and Geography things like that) are. Personally I think Math is red, Ela is yellow or blue, science is green, and social studies is orange.
Its probably because of the colours of the textbooks of those subjects? Like my social studies book was always orange or yellow so i associated those warm colours with this subject. Green for science is also common, either because of book colour which is usually green, or elements like how the environment/nature(part of science) is green. Languages is also either blue or yellow or red for me, depending on which language. Like english is blue for me because of i guess blue cover textbooks, and french is red, for the same reason. Although maths is just white to me, either because of the white covers of my maths textbooks, or maybe just because the subject is the bane of my existence and makes me want to yeet myself into nonexistence which is blankness/white.
@@emy8555 I agree about the text book part. I took Biology for a few years and each year we studied something different. One year we did plants and the book cover was green, so now in university I use a green cover for my ecology notebook, and I use green for Ecology for my timetable. Whereas the human body or zoology I would associate the color pink bc that was the textbook color. Then genetics was blue so it's blue now as well. Physics is green, chemistry is dark blue and orange. Math for some reason is a trendy hot pink for some reason, I don't remember having a hot pink for my math textbook ever.
Was looking for someone to say this! Yes!! Agree. We would say “the flood is over. The land is dry. So, why do you wear your pants so high?” High waters. That’s what we called them back east. I frequently relate to Eric’s words and pronunciation being from the northeast.
I love little Maisy's laugh! It is so cute! My cousins are twins and when they were born my Aunt and Uncle named them Brad and Mark because they sounded the same! so i totally agree with you.

When Wesley was sitting on Colleen's lap I was like when did he get so big! They looked like newborns for so long and now they look like babies. If that makes sense.
Colleen! I did a project in Neuroanatomy on almost exactly what you and Erik were talking about. It’s called Synesthesia! “Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway (for example, hearing) leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway (such as vision). Simply put, when one sense is activated, another unrelated sense is activated at the same time. This may, for instance, take the form of hearing music and simultaneously sensing the sound as swirls or patterns of color.” There’s a lot of unknown about it, but there’s some cool research articles and videos on it if you want to look it up some more! And I have to agree with you…. Monday IS red….
Erik spinning around to the side in that chair, with his leg crossed over and slowly stroking gus like that gave me major Dr Evil and Mr Bigglesworth vibe lol 😂

7:15 I love that Daisy is just sitting behind Gus and Eric.
Colleen!! What you're talking about is called Synesthesia!! It's a thing, it really is! You hear music and see shapes. Or you hear a word and associate it with a color ❤️
I dont know if its the same but i associate words, number etc. with gender and personality
I commented the same. Did you know Billy Eilish has it. lol 2 yellow 3 is red. I agree Dave is at a construction site... makes perfect sense
that's true!!!
Lucy, You don’t have synesthesia.
You’re just looking for attention.
@@beckigreen you are
I loved bugs when I was younger and it makes me so happy to see Flynn and his love for them too.
colleen, Your vlogs are such a rollercoaster rides of emotions! I cry, I laugh and I RELATE!! Love you so much!
where I live we also call them "high waters".
"fluttering" is something butterflies do, so I'm really curious how Colleen connected that to pants.
edit: she sort of explained.
Same! My dad has always called them high waters
Yes! High waters!!
Dude where's the flood.. cuz you're wearing high waters!
yes!! high waters is what my family calls them too!
i hope you never stop vlogging because i feel like flynn, maisy jo + wesley are like family that live out of town so i watch them grow through the screen. i do not want it ever to stop! 💗💗💗
Tortilla Talk Question: When you gave birth to Flynn you said you automatically felt like yourself again but that didn't happen right away with the twins. Do you feel like you are back to yourself yet or have there been any moments where you have felt like yourself again? (I love you and your vlogs and thank you for everything you do! You should tour in Portland Oregon.)

You can tell the babies are discovering their voices! I feel like Maziey was laughing at her own sounds ! So cute
hey colleen i also have dermatillomania and i wanted to share a tip that you’ve probably heard before but i order like special stickers ( and i know you kind of have a dislike for stickers ) but the stickers are like extra strong and i put them on the back of my phone and pick them off the back. i find this really distracts me from picking my skin and it still has the satisfying feel! hope you see this!
TTQ: Hey Colleen! I just found out I’m pregnant and I’ll be a first time mom. I also have adhd and struggle with severe anxiety. Any advice you would give to a new mom with handling stress and trying not to worry as much during and after the pregnancy? Your vlogs have gotten me through my days for years now and I can’t wait to continue with you on your journey as I start my new one, much love 🤍
congatulations on the pregnancy! hoping it goes smoothly!

My grandmother calls pants “highwaters” when pants are too short 😂 also maisy yelling is how I feel 24\7 ahaha
lol I do too. I’m from Ohio. I thought it was just an Ohio thing lol
@@TatianaOwens I’m from Massachusetts, so I guess not! 😆
I was literally just talking about this with my husband with School subjects. 🤣
Math is red
Social studies is blue
Science is green
English is yellow
Surprisingly he totally understood what I was saying🤣
That's interesting! I agree with most of these, except my association for English is different. We had specific colors of notebooks and folders we had to use in elementary school, and English was purple , not yellow. Yellow was spelling. We had a couple others as well. Purple was Religion (I went to a Catholic elementary School). Teal was for reading.
For me
Math 🔴
Social studies 🔵
Science 🟠
English 🟡
I find it hilarious the “flutter” thing of the pants.. In Puerto Rico in Spanish we call long pants that are too short “brinca charcos” which translates to “jumping puddles” 🤣 so makes sense with what Erik was saying
In the south we call them high waters. Or ask if people are expecting a flood.
We appreciate and love you so much Colleen thank you ❤
When Colleen said “What day of the week is 4?” I immediately was like THURSDAY!!
It's because Thursday is the 4th day of the week. It's not rocket science lol
@@pcatma that’s not the reason babes, check yourself before replying
that literally do be the reason though 😭
Wondering if this subconsciously means she agrees with Erik that Monday is the 1st day of the week 🤣
If Thursday is 4, then Monday is 1 and the first color in rainbow order is red. It makes perfect sense.
As a Canadian, how dare Erik take our overlord, Tim’s name in vain. All hail the donut lord, Tim Horton! 😉
DONUT LORD, TIM HORTON!!!!!!
Yes yes yes! Agree with you on all of the same vibes. Thursday, Fall, November, four, brown…. YES
Although maths is just white to me, either because of the white covers of my maths textbooks, or maybe just because the subject is the bane of my existence and makes me want to yeet myself into nonexistence which is blankness/white.
omg I stopped at history, and said EXACTLY THE SAME THING YOU DID. I screamed when I read the rest of your comment lol
What about numbers like 3 is orange 5 is blue 9 is totally purple and 4 is pink.
Also Sunday is purple and Wednesday is winter
@@emy8555 I agree about the text book part. I took Biology for a few years and each year we studied something different. One year we did plants and the book cover was green, so now in university I use a green cover for my ecology notebook, and I use green for Ecology for my timetable. Whereas the human body or zoology I would associate the color pink bc that was the textbook color. Then genetics was blue so it's blue now as well. Physics is green, chemistry is dark blue and orange. Math for some reason is a trendy hot pink for some reason, I don't remember having a hot pink for my math textbook ever.
For me math is yellow, science is blue or green, English is purple
i’m so excited for my show in august. vancouver has missed you so much 🥹
Maisy’s little conversation is so adorableeeed
Anyone else remember Flynn’s “Dar Dar” days? Love them so much ♥️♥️
We called them “high waters” equivalent to flooders. Or we’d ask are you expecting a flood? 😂
Was looking for someone to say this! Yes!! Agree. We would say “the flood is over. The land is dry. So, why do you wear your pants so high?” High waters. That’s what we called them back east. I frequently relate to Eric’s words and pronunciation being from the northeast.
Colleen, omg I totally know what you’re saying!! Four is the letter F for me lol
I love little Maisy's laugh! It is so cute! My cousins are twins and when they were born my Aunt and Uncle named them Brad and Mark because they sounded the same! so i totally agree with you.
This is literally the highlight of my day

Yep they were called high waters
ahhhhhh!! the twins have grown so so so so much, they are so big now looking back at previous videos, they have grown so much!! ahh im repeating the same thing over and over again because they really have grown so much, and this journey with your kids is the sweetest thing ever ❤️ I want my mom to have another tiny human!! Tortilla Talk: if you could live somewhere for the REST of your life, where would you live? also yes i do agree with what you are saying about stuff that have the same vibes, but for some stuff i have different vibes you know :)
When Wesley was sitting on Colleen's lap I was like when did he get so big! They looked like newborns for so long and now they look like babies. If that makes sense.
So adorable I can’t 🥰🥰
@@imjuliewaters I know! Like he was holding he head up so we'll and looked so big!!! 😍
it was so cute how maisy was doing that! i think she figured out she oul make you laugh to and was finding it funny!
This may, for instance, take the form of hearing music and simultaneously sensing the sound as swirls or patterns of color.”
There’s a lot of unknown about it, but there’s some cool research articles and videos on it if you want to look it up some more! And I have to agree with you…. Monday IS red….
Your vlogs always make me feel okay even when I'm feeling anxious, thank you.
Totally agree! Especially Thursday vibing with fall and november
Erik spinning around to the side in that chair, with his leg crossed over and slowly stroking gus like that gave me major Dr Evil and Mr Bigglesworth vibe lol 😂
"not a good song writer" and she's literally been writing awesome comedy shows with songs for years. Colleen, you're one of my first and still strongest women role models, I've been watching you for easily a decade now. You are talented and GOOD at what you do! The process doesn't mean failure, you've just started on certain songs and things!
I love you and Erik’s relationship! The dynamic feels so good 😂
Colleen: will swear that the week starts on a Sunday until she is blue in the face.
Also Colleen: Thursday is also the number 4.
OKAY COLLEEN. OKAY.
THIS! this is exactly what i was thinking
Yea it should be the number 5 🤣
the talking about what names are “the same” made me laugh so hard because my dads name is brad and his brothers name is mark and they are literal twins so yes brad and mark are the same person.
Flynn walking by the camera and saying bugssss made me laugh way too hard. Also, yes, Thursday is the number four.

In philosophy class we had to say what colour each day of the week was and everyone got so passionate about it. I had no idea and just started agreeing with whatever my friend was saying. I was so baffled at how adiment people were about it and how easy they found it 😁
synasthesia
It's called Synesthesia
Colleen I think that Monday could be red because there would be no other option, but it does have a hint of orange in it.
Hi Coleen! I’ve never been early to one of your vids but I just want to say that you’re an amazing mom, and your videos always make my day. It feels great that I’m not alone in my mental health journey, so thank you for all you do!
When Colleen said "What colour is Monday" and Eric said "Blue". I completely agree and I said Blue at the same time he did. Also,I loved this random conversation you were having with Eric about things with the same vive. Also Also I love your vídeos. Yesssss Ryan and Sean are the same name and I totally agreed with all of those like how bunnies are Mittens and November is Thursday
Ok COLLEEN PLEASE! SELL THE FRIEND SHIP BRACELETS! Like when we watch your vlog it would be lovely to have your bracelets on and be like “ omg we are bffs” do you think that’s a good idea?
The toddler struggle is real! It can be too cute. And when they notice you smiling or cracking up and say, "it's not funny" with a pouty grumpy face followed by cracking up themselves
