Tortilla Talk Question: So you always talk about how Flynn makes the twins laugh so much but has he ever asked permission to hold them or offered to get them a toy or an objet? Also does he ever use the tiny door in his room that leads to the twin´s room? Thank you soo much for being such an incredible role model to follow, you have changed my life in a way that no one ever will so thank you you are amazing. Love You!
I swear her smile and eyes just almost make you forget about everything else in the world. Colleen is such a good mother and I’m so happy she shares these moments with us cause it’s bout the only light in my life at the moment 💕✨
TTQ: Do you think you’ll make a video reacting to Wes and Maisy’s psychic reading you had Terry do like you did for Flynn? I think it would be so fun to watch your reaction and reflection on what you’ve been able to tell so far!
Hey Colleen, I just wanted to say that you shouldn’t have to worry about your children seeing you as “giving up on your dreams.” I’m not a mother, but my mom was able to not work when me and my siblings were a lot younger, and overtime she got back into it. Now that us kids are older, she is working full-time for the first time since before she had kids. I’ve never looked down on her for that or thought that she was giving up on anything. I understand the sacrifices that she’s had to make for us, and I admire her for everything she’s done. I know that you will raise your kids to appreciate these same things. I’m really happy that touring brings you joy, and best of luck!
my mom is the same! ava went to photography school before she had kids and had her own business but stopped when she had kids, now that we’re older she’s starting it up again and doing all this research and getting all new equipment and she’s so excited! it made me realize i don’t need to start my career right away (i’m not even 20 yet) i can wait as long as i want
I was at your Waukegan, IL show with my daughter and you made the comment to me about how I'm not "JUST a mom" and that moms are amazing.....I'm extremely introverted and what I SHOULDVE said but did not, is that being a mom is HARD but worth it, we ARE amazing (I also have 3 kids but not twins!)....and I have really really enjoyed seeing your mom journey thus far. I can very clearly see the kind of mom you are and you are INCREDIBLE. I can't imagine the juggling act that you manage to do with home and work life--I think you are doing the best you can with small kids (and your feelings are totally valid. Mom guilt NEVER ends unfortunately) and I admire you for that! Thank you for giving ME a little mom/daughter time at the show, we are still talking about it almost a week later!
Tortilla question! You’ve talked a lot about work life balance between being a mom and a working woman. If he doesn’t mind sharing or you sharing about it, how is Eric handling this balance? Does he feel the same way? Do you feel like you have different expectations for yourself than for him with work because you’re the mother? All love here! Just curious about Eric’s perspective.
tortilla talk question: I know years ago you said you were considering adoption. I know how much pregnancy was scary for you, is adoption something that you're still considering, or something that's still floating in the back of your mind? Would love to hear! Love you and your beautiful family
She did talk about this a few weeks ago. She said that she considered adoption before for a few reasons. It’s something that’s already happened in Erik’s family. She didn’t want to be pregnant again and because she wanted Flynn to have a sibling. But that 3 kids was already more than enough.
TTQ: There's been a lot of discussion recently about family vloggers and how the content can sometimes seem exploitative. I've never felt that way about your content, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the topic or about how you choose what you do and don't share. Also I'm pretty sure the quote about balancing motherhood and a career is Shonda Rhimes!
then again i don’t see her as a traditional family vlogger. i guess because if it was her whole channel/vlog channel would be about the kids and only them in the vlogs but i feel she spaces it out to where it doesn’t feel that way.
Hey, Colleen! I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me. Last December my Mom was in the hospital and my family was told that she wasn’t going to live. I was more heartbroken and devastated than I’ve ever been. All I could do is cry. I remember one night I was watching your video and you were upset bc maisy was still in the NICU. I had cried all day and watching you made me feel more comforted. I felt like we were both going through a really hard time together. I don’t know what I would do without you!! Also, I’m so happy to say that my Mom survived! She is a living miracle!
I feel so bad for u Colleen. I can understand how u feel that u miss ur kids when ur away on tour but that doesn't make u a bad mom! Ur so amazing at ur job being a mom and ur so caring to them and some parents don't even love their kids! U take wonderful care of ur kids everyday and ur always there for them and ur always supporting them and helping them and being there for them and that's all that matters! Ur such a great mom and I think anyone would be lucky enough to have u as a mother!
Hi Colleen! My mom worked part-time as a nurse and was gone a lot: weekends, even birthdays and holidays. It was hard, but as someone who grew up in a Christian community where every other mom was a stay at home mom and daughters were encouraged to do the same, my mom, through her career, taught me and my sisters that we can achieve our dreams, no matter what that looks like. Looking back on my childhood, my mom did so much: raising me and my sisters, working, keeping the house, and homeschooling. She always seemed to do it so seamlessly, too. I now see her as my biggest hero, and your kids will see you as theirs. I don't know what it's like to be a mom, but know that your kids won't see you as failing. They'll see you as the hardworking, career-driven and loving mama that you are.
Tortilla talk: I absolutely love how close you and Kory have stayed over the years. Did you always know he would be a lifetime friend? Also did Flynn choose the nickname KoKo or was it something you told him? I have a best friend of 16 years right now and hope one day she is as close to my family/children as Kory.
tortilla talk question: hey colleen! will you ever recreate the "my family" video? i am dying to see a recreation!! especially with all of the new kiddos in the family
Your reference to the celebrity reference to not balancing things was Shonda Rhimes. I can't remember who was interviewing her, but I recently watched it and loved the raw honesty.
I’ve been here since the first tortilla talk. I can’t explain how real you are. How amazing of an online example you are. My teenage daughter has been a fan for many years and we’ve bonded even more over my watching your daily vlogs since March 2020! Love you so much.
If I remember right I feel like I’ve heard you talk about how your dad would be away on work trips often when you were younger, but I know you also say that he’s the most amazing dad. I think your kids will feel the same way about you! you aren’t failing 💗
I have seen literally every vlog since March of 2020, you have become such a big part of my daily life, so I just want to say thank you for being so real and honest with us. Also if you are still looking to add your dates either Seattle or Portland could be good places lots of PNW peeps here I think
I started watching her after I saw her on The Tonight Show with Jerry Seinfeld. I have her to thank for introducing me to the world of RUclips! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
heyyy If you haven't already rhinestoned your boots, I think that would be a really fun main channel video. I don't know about anyone else but I would watch a full-length video of that. xx
TTQ: I know you constantly have something musical going on in your house with tour and such, so has Flynn ever shown any interest in learning any instruments or how to sing? Have you tried introducing it to him already? I adore you guys so much!!!
Great question! I really hope Colleen answers but if not then I know that in past vlogs Flynn has sung ( one time while strumming Colleen’s ukulele ) and in a main channel video a while ago he got to pick out some stuff from Amazon and randomly bought a melodica? I don’t think he’s played it or used it but it was something he picked out so 🤷♀️
Hi Colleen! I see how torn you are between been a mom and a performer… and wanted to share a bit of my perspective as daughter of a mom who worked her whole life (and she’s still working). I am not a mom yet, and of course, it is different for everybody, but my mom is my biggest role model for determination, strength, perseverance; she’s always encouraged me to strive for big things, for independence and for achieving my goals. It’s been a lot of sacrifice, but she’s helped me to never give up and to have the best attitude I can. Her example has pushed me to be better in every way and has touched many others outside my family as well (I feel like you do this everyday to all of us watching you). I hope in the future I can do this for my kids too and I am sure your kids will appreciate it as well. Love your videos, and big hugs from Honduras!
Tortilla Talk: What was your singing journey like? Were you always a naturally talented singer? What kind of shows/choirs were you a part of? As a teenager just getting into the awesome world of music and musicals I would love to hear about your journey!
When I first heard about miranda, I wasn't too big of a fan. Once I learned about the person behind the character, I respect Miranda and support Colleen. It's still not my thing but I love Colleen and watching her grow as a person and a mom.
Colleen, what I appreciate about you is your vulnerability and your willingness to show the imperfections of life. I started watching you over the pandemic. Its funny how I can look at someone and see that they are a wonderful fun mom, an artist striving to live out her dreams, and a genuine human who is willing to display all the messes and everyday struggles. It makes you relatable and I think that's what people attach to. We are often looking for public figures we can identify with. We CAN'T identify with perfection or the image of perfection. We CAN identify with someone who is messy, real, funny, quirky, kind, loving, and who is just trying to do her best to navigate this thing we call life. I hope you see this and I hope it makes you smile (and maybe cry, haha!)
Tortilla Talk Question: you've mentioned before that you try and show the happier, more fun moments you experience with your kids on the vlogs. Are there ever moments you film that you keep for yourself because they're more special or personal? Love to you all!
Back when the babies were in the Nicu was around the time of me moving to a new school. In no way am I comparing going to a new school to having babies in the Nicu but watching your videos helped me a lot and made me feel less alone and scared. So thank you ❤️ You are a wonderful mom and person and I hope as a adult I can be as sweet and good as a mother as you.
Regarding the balance of being a mum and having a career, remember that when your kids see you excel in your career and have passions and meet goals that IS being a good mum too. You’re showing your kids how to chase dreams! 💛
Tortilla talk question..I'm albino and blind and my son has Down syndrome. How do you plan to handle your kids meeting people with special needs? I get varying reactions and sometimes struggle to handle the negative ones. It starts with the parents. Obviously you're going to handle it amazingly but I'm curious what form that will take.
@@katelandd18 literally nobody has ever asked me that. Thank you! Don't teach kids NOT to ask questions about disabilities bc when you do you're teaching them shame around it. Alot of it comes from the parents reactions and verbiage. Kids pick up on that. Being careful to not talk about special needs people in derogatory ways or spread misinformation. You'd be shocked by what people think about albinos. The not so nice words they use to describe people, kids pick up on it. But yeah kids coming with their parents to ask why I look different not "why do you look so weird lol" also teaching kids to treat other kids with special needs like any other person. Most don't want to be made to feel their differences all the time. I rarely get to answer nice questions. People usually make a snap judgement about me based off what Hollywood has portrayed albinos as and reach their kids to fear me. If my son is acting up in public I get "omg I thought people with down syndrome is happy all the time." They have emotions just like the rest of us. Anyway I hope that was helpful and ok. I've never been asked so I'm not practiced answering lol
@@katelandd18 oh also there's a down syndrome association in most states which was a God send. I had my son at 18 and those families helped me immeasurably. It was so good for him as well.
Colleen ❤️ I've been watching your videos since before Flynn + I've been taking Childhood Development classes recently & I just wanna say you and your family have been doing such an amazing job with your kids' development. I was filled with joy watching you and Flynn dig for bugs!!! Love from the Bay Area!!❤️
TT: do you ever think you will do the “singing Saturday’s” series you did many years ago? I think it would be a nice break for you to RELAX by singing some of your favorite songs. And which one of us would not wanna hear your beautiful voice!? 🙃
Tortilla talk question: would you consider making a new Ballinger Family music video, now that you’re married with kids? That would be amazing!! Lots of love from the UK 🇬🇧
i think since moose is pretty chill and the cats are cats (low activity/independent) i don't think her and eric have a hard time taking care of everything. in my house, we have 2 dogs and 4 cats and its pretty chill, id hope itd be the same for them
Oh my gosh COLLEEN!!! Please come to Omaha, Nebraska!! I know so many people who would LOVE to come see you! (Including me 🙃) keep being an amazing mom and person!
Something we use at school is " how are you feeling today mad, sad, glad, or afraid" we use this everyday to start our day. I think it's helpful during hard situations and getting in touch with feelings, even for adults.
TTQ: Does Erik feel the same way in regards to work? I know my husband and I have such different perspectives on working and parenting. Given you are both in entertainment, I was curious what his experience is. LOVE YPU!
Tortilla Talk Question: How have you taught your children to say no and set boundaries? (mainly to Flynn and for sure later to the twins) Especially about their body, how to recognize and speak when someone else does something that bothers them.
Colleen giving her haters “options” for saying they don’t like her lol 😂 I honestly wouldn’t get anyone who wouldn’t like you. You are the best! Love you! 💕
I was a stay-at-home mom decades ago and did not finish college and be a teacher until now in my 50s. I love the time I spent with them, but looking back I think I could have done both. Do what makes you happy and the kids will just be better for it. I am the happier I have ever been being an Art teacher and my grown children are so supportive! You do you because you are Awesome!
Colleen please can you and Eric make a song with Flynn like you did with Parker. “The hug song” I love that song so much and I think Flynn would come out with such good answers if you were to ask him questions about love. Such an iconic song. ❤️
I am not a mom but I am an aunt who lives with her nieces and nephew... I just recently graduated from fulltime college online and totally understand the feeling of work / family balance!! Something I found that helped me feel a little balanced is simply asking my nieces to hang out with me when I do my work! She either would play school, work,, or color in the room with me. If I noticed she was getting loud and needed to leave I would tell her to do what she wanted and come back when she wanted to hang out! I also made sure to give at least an hour of my work day to do what she wanted. Hard to explain and manage but I would love to talk more about the struggles haha!
TTQ: Hey Colleen, I was wondering does anyone get mad at you because you hated a product that they love publicly. BTW I love you and your beautiful family. Edit: thanks for all the likes
Colleen I have VIP tickets to your show in Houston and IM SO EXITED!!! I love how through your vlogs you show people that there is hope and you can really get through hard things, even if you don't realize.
I live in Spring and thought about going. I am a disabled older lady, so getting around is always something that I worry about. Hope you have a great time!!!
I grew up with a chronically ill stay at home mom. even though she didn’t have a job, I always knew she was so hard working and strong, and it didn’t limit my dreams or make me think I couldn’t do what I wanted. I say this not to encourage you to give up on work, just so you know that your kids will still think you are strong and determined and reaching for the stars when they’re watching you be a mom AND when they’re watching you onstage. ✨
TTQ: Hey Colleen! I was wondering if you'd ever react to your "physic reads my twins' future!" Since you did that with Flynn, I'd love to watch that if you ever got the time to film it!
Colleen, you are definitely not alone in your feelings of succeeding at one and failing at the other. I think most Moms who have to work outside the home struggle with these feelings. It is so hard, but it does get easier. You find ways to balance and make the most of the time you have for each part of your life.
TTQ: Hey Colleen, Why did you not have any south east tour dates before you added Georgia to your tour. Was it just too far or have you had a bad experience? Love ya!
I have had such a pathetic day but seeing maizey cackle with rock music in the background totally made my day and gave me the laugh that I needed. I'm so grateful for you colleen ❤️ much love to you. I adore koko 🤣❤️ talented son of a gun
Tortilla talk question: “Have you ever taught Flynn about different disabilities, like Diabetes, epilepsy, tret syndrone? If so how do you explain to him? Also another question, have you ever met someone in person with disabilities other than your brother? Just curious because I myself have type 2 diabetes, epilepsy, bone and joint issues, brain tumors and vision issues and wanted to know if you or anyone in your family have ever seen pr met anyone along the same spectrum and how you explain to Flynn about their conditions.” I love your content nd your entire fmily. You make me laugh every day. I would love a shoutout.
TTQ: do you still plan on doing an actual weeding and honeymoon?! I remember you talking about this a while back!! Love so much Colleen! I was in Chicago last weekend and was near the bean but didn’t see you there! If I did I would literally scream and probably cry because you are such a huge inspiration to me.😭💞

With the balancing two life's thing in the ttq, think about how you make your kids proud either way. You make them proud by being there for them as a mother and you make them proud by being on tour and going to different places & being on stage. You're doing great colleen, as a mother and as an performer/influencer :)
TTQ: what holiday are you looking forward to celebrating with all of you kids this year??? Love still watching these somewhat daily vlogs thanks for what you do 🥰 💕
How could someone not like you is what I don’t understand! You are a kind, caring, and big hearted person! You love so deeply and so hard. They are missing out on knowing a wonderful and loving woman!
Regarding life as a career woman and mom at the same time, I don't know if this helps, but try to remember that you're not on tour or away from them to be selfish. You're doing that because it's another way of loving and supporting them. You make money to provide for them when you work, as well as show your kids that they can do anything they put their mind to (including being a working parent).
Colleen, there is children’s book call “just ask” it’s about people with different disabilities and explains that’s it’s ok to just ask them? As a teacher is my favorite book to start the school year with. I would send it to you however I’m on. No spend summer to try and save money. Please check it out and read it to all the babies as they get older. Thanks, I enjoy your videos so much!
Colleen I love you so much!!! I’m so proud of you! You are such an amazing mom you have come such a long way. You are such an inspiration! You make me so happy 😀 you are a light in my life I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️
I think it is difficult right now to balance your kids and work because of how young they are but I do believe that when they are enrolled in school you will find more time to have that balance, without feeling like you are failing them in any way. You are doing amazing and we all love your videos and your children and you
TTQ: do you ever get scared for your children's rights and how they will be treated when they get older? especially since they just overruled the Roe v. Wade law?
Especially since she has a daughter now, that’s terrifying. I’m glad I’m Canadian but I feel SO terribly afraid for all people with uterus’s in the states right now.
@@aubreyfb um why lmao. its should be a human right that you can do whatever you want to your body whether you can produce kids or not but they are creating it to be the exact opposite.
Tortilla Talk Question: Parenting and the things we know about raising children has changed a lot over the years. Are there things you do with your kids that you wish you had/were taught growing up? And the other way around- are there things you have to teach your kids now that you wish you didnt have to (something that wasn’t a thing when you were growing up)?
My best friend is a single mom to 5 children, without much help, and works full time as a manager over a lot of people (with a lot of work, and also ends up picking up the slack for her many management peers). She is amazing because she does everything in her power to be the best mom she can be and is present for her kids. She also makes her work equally a number one priority. Not because she's single with little to no help, but because work drives her. I'm more proud of her over any of my other friends who are mothers because she doesn't JUST put her kids first. She works hard to show her kids (4 boys and 1 girl) that hard work is important, too. I feel like you've done this yourself. Even though you think you "fail" or "lack" in one or the other, you don't, you make sure to show your children, not only to work hard, but to fulfill your dreams, too. (I should also mention that she has a work hard, play hard mentality, whether it's fun with her kids or her friends, she has fun no matter what.)
I love when Colleen reminds Flynn what to do and what not to do in situations. it helps others or gives them an idea of how to handle situations in a calm and positive way! thank you
The immediate panic!!! 😰😅😅😅 I usually get nervous when you open packages because my mind tells me something bad is going to happen and usually it's okay, so of course when something bad actually happens I'm caught so off guard!! Lolol got me good! Never what I would do 100%!!!! 😅😅😅💖
Hi Colleen, thank you for sharing your feelings with mom guilt / career life. My daughter has ASD, non verbal & my husband and I run a stage school & theatre company. The guilt never goes away, unfortunately it’s always a lingering feeling but it’s nice to know we are not alone & it’s ok to try our best to balance both.

Quick question. Did you go to the Miranda sings show in Toronto this year?
@@albabick777 Sadly, no I didn't.
So happy for you.
That’s amazing I’m so happy for you and your mom
That's so sweet ❤️
This❤️
Tortilla talk: I absolutely love how close you and Kory have stayed over the years.
Aw this is a great idea
totally ngl watched it the other way and wondered why there wasn’t an update
Your reference to the celebrity reference to not balancing things was Shonda Rhimes. I can't remember who was interviewing her, but I recently watched it and loved the raw honesty.
I think Colleen need to start every vlog with “never what i would do”😂
Yeah or make merch that says that! 😅
Ikr 😂
Yes pls do Colleen!!!
@@rachelotremba8100 😱💖💖 Yes!! Merch!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
heyyy
If you haven't already rhinestoned your boots, I think that would be a really fun main channel video. I don't know about anyone else but I would watch a full-length video of that.
xx
TTQ: Would you ever have Flynn re-sing the little intro to your vlogs? It would be cute to hear him sing it now that he speaks a lot more!
I don’t think he’s played it or used it but it was something he picked out so 🤷♀️
Tortilla talk question: Please come to Atlantic City, NJ! Me and my grandmother love you and would love to see you in a show ❤️❤️
You've been making me nervous with that knife for months!! 🤣🤣
Back when the babies were in the Nicu was around the time of me moving to a new school. In no way am I comparing going to a new school to having babies in the Nicu but watching your videos helped me a lot and made me feel less alone and scared. So thank you ❤️
You are a wonderful mom and person and I hope as a adult I can be as sweet and good as a mother as you.
SHONDA RHIMES!! That’s who said that Mom quote!
💗
What would be helpful to teach kids from your perspective?
@@thryssinstitches9655 im a pediatric NP so I love to hear feedback that I can help teach to parents! Thank you for the feedback!
@@katelandd18 oh also there's a down syndrome association in most states which was a God send. I had my son at 18 and those families helped me immeasurably. It was so good for him as well.
“Never what I would do” best Flynn quote
Hi Colleen a question for tortilla talk: is it hard to look after all of your pets while having newborns and a todler? Love ur videos 💖
good question
I've been so curious about this
i think since moose is pretty chill and the cats are cats (low activity/independent) i don't think her and eric have a hard time taking care of everything. in my house, we have 2 dogs and 4 cats and its pretty chill, id hope itd be the same for them
I LOVE HOW MAISEY'S LAUGH IS A STRAIGHT UP VIBRATION🤣🤣🤣 #THEECUTESTLAUGHEVER
The whole clip of Maisy talking and laughing made my day! I laughed until I had tears running down my face. Lol 💚💚💚
Oh my gosh COLLEEN!!! Please come to Omaha, Nebraska!! I know so many people who would LOVE to come see you! (Including me 🙃) keep being an amazing mom and person!
I’m extra thankful for you today, Colleen!! You never fail to bring a smile to my face!!!

(mainly to Flynn and for sure later to the twins)
Especially about their body, how to recognize and speak when someone else does something that bothers them.
Colleen giving her haters “options” for saying they don’t like her lol 😂 I honestly wouldn’t get anyone who wouldn’t like you. You are the best! Love you! 💕
I can't stand Miranda but enjoy the occasional vlog
I was a stay-at-home mom decades ago and did not finish college and be a teacher until now in my 50s. I love the time I spent with them, but looking back I think I could have done both. Do what makes you happy and the kids will just be better for it. I am the happier I have ever been being an Art teacher and my grown children are so supportive! You do you because you are Awesome!
Your kids will very proud of you for continuing to pursue your dreams. It shows them they can too
Colleen please can you and Eric make a song with Flynn like you did with Parker. “The hug song” I love that song so much and I think Flynn would come out with such good answers if you were to ask him questions about love. Such an iconic song. ❤️
maisy’s laugh is literally the cutest thing i’ve ever heard
Colleen you seem so happy and up at the beginning of this vlog. It makes me happy for you.🤗

Maisies laugh!! That funny little giggle! Omgggg it's just the best! So unbelievably cuuuute
Great job Cory! That montage of adorable Maisy vocalizing was hilarious and so freakin cute! 😍
Colleen, you are definitely not alone in your feelings of succeeding at one and failing at the other. I think most Moms who have to work outside the home struggle with these feelings. It is so hard, but it does get easier. You find ways to balance and make the most of the time you have for each part of your life.
7:40 masiy looks like she's singing such a natural like her bueatiful mom love u colleen ❤️ btw I watch all ur vlogs and I get so exited when u post
Maisie has the cutest little laugh!! I love Kory dropping the Band Aid! Too funny!!

Love still watching these somewhat daily vlogs thanks for what you do 🥰 💕
I'm gonna bet she says Christmas:-)
Not me making silly faces at Maisy talking to try to get her to laugh…. 😂😂😂 Love her chippymunk laugh. ❤️
I just bought a front row seat for your show in Az, I can’t wait to see you!
You make me so happy 😀 you are a light in my life I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️
omg the montage of maisy chatting is freaking hilarious
I love your vids they make my day❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I think it is difficult right now to balance your kids and work because of how young they are but I do believe that when they are enrolled in school you will find more time to have that balance, without feeling like you are failing them in any way.
@@hanaba222 It should not even be a thought to have abortion as a "human right".

Thank you Colleen For posting an another daily vlog on your Official RUclips channel
Tortilla talk question: at one point you were touring houses, what are the top 5 things you are looking for in your dream home?
i know that two were a big backyard and a detached office space for her. but yes, would love to know more things she's looking for!
Thank you for the information 😊
I love when Colleen reminds Flynn what to do and what not to do in situations. it helps others or gives them an idea of how to handle situations in a calm and positive way!
