As someone who’s done portrait photography for a university for 7.5 years, I always find it interesting how people see themselves vs how others see them. I find big foreheads amazing. I find lines beautiful. I find each individual feature beautiful. They’re what makes you you. Your forehead is yours, and it’s great. Any lines, you’ve earned. Lines show the laughter you’ve enjoyed and brought to others; the smiles through the years. I think all faces, and all the bits that make them unique, are wonderful. While to each their own, I always get a little sad when someone wants me to overly retouch a portrait. You’re beautiful, and I wish we could all enjoy what makes us real live, laughing, loving human beings. When I’m 90, I hope I’ve lived so much that I’m a wrinkled mess.

I second this. I had my first at 23 yo, then my second at 33 yo. As they become people, autonomous and independent (to a point) your better able to find the balance. I worked my way up within leadership roles as a nurse. I have 2 under 3 now and I feel the same, I've lost my identity but have hope, you are developing your new co-indentity of mom and performer.
I love how gentle Flynn is with taking out the butterflies and giving them space when they're on the grass

I definitely recommend visiting the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, they recently had their annual bug fair 5/21&22… and they have their butterfly pavilion open until Sept 5th!!! Flynn would LOVE it so much seeing the butterflies fly around!

I have SO much respect for EP mommas. You are such a badass, you should know that.
i am not a mother but as someone who has watched mums from an outside perspective, i think what you were talking about at the end of the video is a very common experience. so often, i hear mums talking about how aspects of their humanity fall into a sort of limbo once they become a mum of young children. whether that be their creativity, their career, or hobbies. you’ve had a major life shift; two extra kids. fortunately and unfortunately it’s inevitable that life will feel different. i think you just have to keep doing what you love, eventually, a new ‘identity’ will form out of this combination of things, and life may begin to feel less fragmented. i’ve always felt that as long as i love what i’m doing, the rest will follow :)

I think that once all the kids are grown up a little older then it’ll be so much easier to make your two worlds combine because they will most likely love to travel to nearby places and watch the shows that you preform, Flynn already loves the world of Miranda and musical activities so much. It is just hard for them to be a part of that world while they are still so young. Things will not be this hard forever, and we know that you will stay strong and do your best until it’s easier! 💞

Flynn was born in December of 2018, but yes, I also loved when she started vlogging everyday at the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020. I look forward to them. Especially with the twins now.

i just thought of something.. 🥺🥺you should make some special nicu parent baskets and deliver them to fans who are going through what you experienced. maybe include some things that brought you comfort during that time and a little handwritten letter! i think that would be so cute and really help people feel less lonely

Although you feel like mom & work aren't meshing, YOU ARE DOING IT! You need to give yourself permission to get used the change. It was your first tour to other states across the nation! HELLOOOOOO!!! At this point, you just have to give yourself grace while you adjust. You are the only one who knows how much you can can handle. From what I've witnessed of you over the past 3 years, you've been through the worst & best of times, you're pretty badass!

Hi Colleen, on my channel I have bred betta fish for multiple years and sent them all across the USA and anyway my point with this is that what I use to feed baby Bettas are what you just bought for Flynn! "Sea Monkey's" are really just brine shrimp! They are a form of shrimp where the eggs can sustain for a long amount of time. With the proper set up, they will hatch! Brine shrimp are used to feed many baby fish, such as my Bettas, because they are tiny enough to fit into their mouths! If you ever want to continue to buy them for Flynn without having to continue to purchase kits, you can buy bags of brine shrimp eggs! Hope this helps!! 💓💓💓💓💓

The thing is, full time means ALL the time. You can't be a full time mom and carry a full time job, and be everything to everyone...it's just not possible! It's all about balance, which a lot of us just struggle with.

Another great question
Try to keep in mind that what your kids will remember the most is those little times you spend with them. They won't remember the days mom is working a little more. They will remember the bug catching, the giggling, the dance parties, the cuddles and kisses. Even if this is like 15% of your days, it's what will stick in their memories. So don't feel bad for taking time to work and sometimes being away. Embrace every different moments. It takes a while to reconciliate being a parent and working, but you'll get there ^^
