Actually, when he was asked to do Idol, he still wasn’t that serious about doing music. He left Idol to try to figure out if music was the route he wanted for a career. Later, he was contacted by Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons, who told Benson he saw some of his TikTok videos, and was interested in working with him on some music. Then things started to get serious!
