  • Dan Baird Interview: AMAZING stories inside. What happens to a band when it’s collective members no longer have a common goal, the dynamics of working with Brendan O’Brien and Rick Rubin, GREAT Neil Young story, beating cancer (Twice!), the highs and lows of making records, getting his solo career going, how he got Steve Marriott's guitar! Curiosity, work ethic, passion to grow and learn, opening for Bob Seger & Tom Petty, LOADS more cool stuff. This one’s a MUST:

Damn DB...this gave me flashbacks of all our nonstop conversations in hotels...but as for Exile...you probably don't remember...but a dirty, snowy, cold ass night in Detroit many winters ago....you pulled out a guitar, sat on the bed, and started playing every song on it...saying ''watch what happens..." and sure enough by end of side 1 every person on the tour was in the room, guitars out, phone book drums out, and we sang and played the whole damn thang. Rock n Roll was on the road agin...cheers mate god bless ya's

Otis Gibbs led me here. This guy is the real deal. He gets it...we approach music in the same way. Especially in a 2 guitar setting. Don't play the same thing as the other guy and it's ok to NOT play if it will sound cluttered.

Dans answer to not many people liking his new found Libtardism? I'm going to pick up my toys and run home! And now claim he's retired! He ain't retired by a long shot! Still a great writer and performer! Has to separate his music from his political assiology!

I’ve been a fan of Dan’s, since I first saw Georgia Sat’s open for TP& Heartbreaker’s in ‘89 at Great Woods. When he started playing All Over But The Crying and when Dan said that song sounds like something Tom would have wrote! Lol
