- Join us as we board the Disney Wonder for a 7-night cruise out of San Diego, CA to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta!
It's been a year to the day since our last Disney Cruise embarkation and we're so excited for this next adventure! After a short-ish drive down to San Diego, it's finally time for us to board the Disney Wonder for seven nights of fun to the Mexican Riviera and back! Embarkation days are always jam-packed with fun, so we're splitting this into two parts, with this first one encompassing us boarding the ship, a tour of our Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (category 06A), and our first experience with a full-blown muster drill.
We have so many great port and ship adventures from this cruise coming your way, plus an Alaska cruise in less than two weeks, so subscribe if you'd like to wend and wander with us!

Yay!! Love watching your adventures 😊 Happy to see Cody finally got his Disney button down
Thank you so much Kelly! 😊 Yes, Santa was very nice to Cody last year and got him the Stitch shirt he wanted 😉
Wow!! I can’t believe it’s been a year already!! 🎉 my fiancé and I LOVE your DCL vlogs!
You were our first Disney Cruise Line vlog 😊 & now we’re planning our second cruise on the Fantasy in August.
You are too kind! 😊 Thank you for the kind words, and we are so happy that you and your fiancé got to experience a Disney cruise, and will be experiencing another very soon! Also congratulations on your engagement, that is a very exciting time!
Can't believe it's been a year already! Congrats! I agree about the muster drill, had to do it in person in December and it was a bit suffocating, but does force ppl to pay attention.
Thank you! It is crazy how quickly time flys by. We are heading over to our Alaska cruise right now, so I’m sure we will be going through all of that craziness again soon!
There’s something cool about embarkation day! I’ll miss the Wonder when she sets sail across the Pacific.
As will we! But you are right, there is nothing quite like embarkation day!
Loving that stitch flower shirt 👌
Thank you Doc! We will definitely be purchasing more in the future hahah.
The muster drill is always how it has been done. Cody nailed it. No one does the video on their own which is why they didn't keep it after covid restrictions.
Thank you very much for that information! Our cruising journey started during Covid times, so we never experienced the original muster drill.
eee , so excited going on the wonder in December !!
We're so excited for you!! Which itinerary will you be doing?
Can't wait for this new cruise series! love the videos
Thank you so much!
Love your cruise vlogs ❤
Thanks Alison, can't tell you how much we appreciate the support 🥰
Yay! I’m so excited for this cruise vlog series! 🎉 You guys know how to have FUN! 🥳
Thank you so much! We try to have as much fun as we can 😀
I’m going on the Wonder in April, haven’t been since 2016 before they did their dry dock renovation
Oh my gosh, we hope you have an amazing cruise!! The renovation has 100% helped make the Wonder our favorite ship thus far with Tiana's 😊
Thanks for the information on the taller showers. If I ever can get my middle nephew to go on a Disney Cruise, he'll definitely need the taller showers. He's 6'8"! Definitely won't fit in the stateroom shower. Lol!!
6’8”! Oh my goodness! Yes he would have a difficult time in the room showers 😄
Happy Anniversary!
Thank you!😊
I always remember it this way .. port is left as it has the same amount of letters 😂
Omg, this is revolutionary! We had never thought about that before!
*****i have an EZ way to know port, starboard... I thought of this, tho I'm sure others have as well. Port has 4 letters n left has four letters...two 4 letter words. 😂😂😂
This was actually one of the tricks we were using throughout the cruise! If only we'd known it for our first few cruises, we never got it right 😂
I am just curious, what is your favorite Disney Ship you have sailed on?
Ohh, such a good question! We prefer the Wonder & Magic over the Fantasy. Of those two...we would probably have to say the Wonder since it holds a special place in our heart with it being our first ship + the ship we took our favorite cruise on so far!
What is a considered a “good spot” on the sail away party and should we take the back stairs instead of the elevators and stairs in the main lobby for the sail away party?
We prefer being anywhere up on the deck above the main stage as that gives you a great view regardless of where you are (especially if you can get close to the railing). The back stairs and elevator actually tend to be pretty packed because there are usually a good amount of groups coming out of the Walt Disney Theater from the muster drill. The main lobby stairs or the front stairs will probably be your best bet to get up to the Sail-A-Wave party!
🛳️💜👍👍
Hey love the video, where did you get the Stitch Shirt?
Thank you so much! The shirt is from RSVLTS!
Question: Aside from the prepaid gratuities what would be a good extra tip per attendant?
I think the most common range we've seen added to prepaid gratuities is anywhere from $20-$100, but that's of course very dependent on the individual/family!
@@WendandWander Awesome! Thank you! My wife and I are loving your videos. Please keep them coming 😊 and thank you for posting them!
Hello.. Do they give one each of the pin? Thanks
Yes, they gave us each one pin 😊
I think it is actually that H2O Plus has closed their business. So I think when the supply runs out, there will be something new. I will be among the sad Disney fans when that day comes. 😢
Oh no! 😭 Well we will just have to savor it until the day comes where we must get accustomed to a new scent!
Just got off Disney dream and my family and I said the same thing about mustard drill. It felt very unorganized and not something anyone was able to pay attention to due to us being cramed on side of boat.
Is 7 days the longest you would want to do a a cruise?
We got lucky with our muster drill being in the theater, so I can’t imagine how busy the deck must have been for you! That is a great question, we love the 7 night cruises, but, it would greatly depend on how Cody is feeling. Sometimes Cody feels great after the 7 days, and other times he is ready to be back on dry land for awhile hahah.
@@WendandWander we feel the same but that’s cause we have our kids with us. Looking into maybe just wife and I doing cruise on Disney in the near future, would defiently be different experience
With Disney cruises, you really can't go wrong! We think you'll have a great time with or without the kiddos. 😊
@@WendandWander I agree that’s why we love them so much. But keep posting and doing videos we love when you guys post!
