As an INFJ guy, what I've understood after a while is that our type's personality is just "balance": if we are with someone more optimistic and cheerful, like an ENFP, we become more realistic and grounded, but if we are with someone realistic and grounded, like an ISTP, we are the ones to turn optimistic and cheerful. Our personality is literally just whatever is needed for balance to be achieved.

I am an infj and my husband is an enfp. 20 years together. We had our ups and downs, but this is a magical love story. Best friends, soul mates. Socionics does not "approve" this relationship though, preferring duals instead. I may say there are downsides, but who does not have them? Downsides: 1. I try to control him, bc he is kinda irresponsible and carefree. 2. He has no idea about time and deadlines: he just procrastinates, forgets things. I am his alarm clock and notification bell. I wish he was more responsible. I live as if I have 1 year left (so I have to plan everything) and he lives as if he has 1000 years to live (so he has plenty of time and doesn't need planning) 3. He doesn't plan things properly and we may get into situations, so I am always in charge of packing, planning, booking. 4. His jokes are too inappropriate and foolish. Mine are sarcastic. 5. He is a little more selfish from my viewpoint. Also I have to fold his laundry and find things. Anyways. I wouldn't change our relationship. It is said that duals are a perfect match, but I don't think this is always the case.
INFJ here - I just recently took the MBTI test and I find it fascinating how accurate it was to me. ENFP's seem to be the kind of people that I have a mutual understanding with, something I am not use to because I generally have to be someone else to other people. I personally like to empathize with people and take on their problems as if they where my own and that takes a extraordinarily large amount of energy from myself. I feel like ENFP's don't require this kind of treatment it's almost like the people who are ENFP's are the same to INFJ's are to other types. The ENFP is my favorite personality type so far because of the compatibility they have with my own. I enjoy ENFP's company because when they get me to talk about something I am interested in and knowledgeable about and They understand me more easily than other types. As a INFJ I find when I talk about stuff that I care deeply about I describe it through feeling, metaphor and sentiment due to this it makes it very difficult for most people to comprehend because it's not purely based off of reason and logic. I have one ENFP as a close friend and she is very a genuine and open person that cares about me a lot. I hope this was fun to read as much as it was to type, expressing myself through text is a lot more difficult than talking because I have to make it make sense. lol
INFJ here, dating an ENFP. We have been together for 5 years. We had so many ups and downs, we somehow don't give up on each other. Most our clashes are about the way we think. Most of the time, we mean the same thing though with a different perspective, still argue about it for no ends. Opposite to popular belief, I am the talkative one in the relationship.

He is the one who has to talks about things that bother him, I am listener in that situation. I am usually happy go lucky , easy going and positive person in the relation, which seems opposite in your case. He is quite intense sometimes. My mom is ISFJ and I'm ENFP, we have problems because she's all time saying to me: "be more organized with your things!" Or "do that!" She's all time organizing my life and I become tired and irritable. I know she do that for me, but I only want liberty to do my own things (obviously I help with home, I clean the bathroom and the kitchen every day, I'm the responsibile sister) and she's too much exigent and has unrealistic expectations about me, my sisters and my brother, so she gets easily frustrated. But I can comprehend her behaviors and situation, and I love her.

It was really great, I'm really sad to see what I've lost, especially when I see all the comments... We had to break up (even if we didn't want to) because he's Muslim and I want my future kids to have the choice. He understands. He found another girl (an ISFJ) and that hurts me a lot. I sent him a text about how I was feeling, that I was finally sure I wanted to be with him for the road even if at the end we wouldn't have been together. He said it was adorable, but that the only solution was to see if it works out with the other girl with the time, that he can't leave her like that and shouldn't have done it with me... I thought I could move on after that but it really hurts me a lot. Now we're friends but it's not like it used to be. I'm INFJ and my boyfriend is ENFP. I agree with this completely. I'm always so anxious about the future and every decision, but he's so chill about everything. We've known each other for 10 years now and we always gravitated towards each other. So interesting :) It still blows my mind we got together a few months ago. I never loved anyone this way. We have our differences and misunderstandings, usually I feel like he's not empathetic enough and it escalates from there, but we always talk it out eventually.

I am dating another INFJ and she was raised in a similar culture and we share the same faith and politics on top of it. We are both deep people who have no use for superficiality and shallowness and we are both communicative!. I don't know about me, but she is intelligent and interesting(I think she is just being nice when she talks about me). I under the potential for disaster(huge disaster) with two INFJ's who don't share the same world views/core values and two INFJ’s in a relationship will either be a match made in heaven, or something you may never recover from because they knew you the deepest, they understood you, and it still didn’t work(because of different core values/not enough similarities and not enough work on strengthening typical INFJ weaknesses)- but our relationship is unbelievable. We ARE confirmed INJF's but we are both analytical, logical, objective, practical, reasonable and easygoing(except when easygoing isn't appropriate, neither one of us are afraid to confront others). Think of a lively, warm, emotional(in a positive sense), passionate Mr. Spock(from Star Trek). We have both worked on strengthening the inherent weaknesses of INJF's in ourselves before we ever met. We relate on a level that is almost supernatural. We get along almost seamlessly . We understand and comprehend each other as well or better than ourselves and the similarities we share in personality traits, beliefs and opinions are eerie. We always communicate and never shrink from resolving issues, never avoid discussing differences of opinion when they do occur, but in a year and a half we have never had a fight. This stems from our similarities but also from being real, genuine and sincere people and not seeking our own well being first; our strong inclination to meet each other’s needs creates a healthy balance of give and take. Thanks to our auxiliary function of Extroverted Feeling (Fe), my INFJ partner and I have a knack for taking into account the emotional needs of others and we utilize it and apply it to our relationship. That said, my observations of people putting themselves first in any type of friendship/relationship have only deepened my appreciation for my INFJ significant other, who, without thinking twice, seeks to fulfill my needs just as often as I do hers.
I’m an INFJ and I am fascinated by ENFP types. I find them very entertaining to be around but I agree that hanging out and being in a long term relationship where you live together are totally different. But I think mature adults with life experience can make it work because they know how to compromise and be mindful about the other person’s needs and pet peeves. INFJs and ENFPs are very different in their outlook and approach to life.
LOL. I'm an INFJ and I'm a really big-picture kind of person... My ideals in life is actually really huge... Quite honestly I'm scared that I'll slowly forget this kind of enthusiasm once I grow old, but no. I can't live without it... They both keep each other grounded. Enfp keep infj open to possibilities in morals and ideas. Infjs keep Enfps focused on a single goal of importance. I've dated several ENFPs and I didn't argue with any of them. Though oddly only one of them ever cheated on me and I didn't say anything I just walked away. Anyways I think my not bringing reality crashing down on them was due to my strong moral belief that everyone has the right to express themselves in whatever way they are most comfortable with. Either that or I just hate conflict that much

@@PsychologyandChillwMichi I thought about that but I literally caught her in the act with her ex while I was watching their one year old son cause they said they needed sleep. It was probably my fault as much as hers for getting involved with her so soon after they split. Though a year and a half isn't exactly a short time either but I'm sure you understand what I'm saying. It's unfortunate things went down that way for two reasons: she was a sweetheart and I really enjoyed being around her and second she and I ended up having a son together that she didn't tell me about and I found out she wouldn't let me see him. And in NY it's up to the mother. So it was huge disaster all around. But like I said none of the other ENFPs I dated did anything like that. One died, one stopped taking her meds and her Schizophrenia got out of control and I'm still friends with the other one.

Those experiences together seem to be very intense. It sounds like you have lived a very interesting life so far. I'm sorry that your child is being kept from you. It's sadly very common for women to do that as NY is not the only state whose laws work like that.
@@PsychologyandChillwMichi I also wanted to mention that I 40 years old and I have more or less moved passed many of my types shortcomings like the need for perfection and I was never controlling of others but I was very rigid in how I behaved. I did not start conflicts as a personal belief and that had led to many problems with the girls I dated that weren't ENFPs. I refused to treat others in a negative way even when they were doing it to me. My first hard lesson about my rigidness came when I was 14 after I did something incredibly stupid to keep a promise was the result was my best friend/girlfriend was killed. I realized there were more important things and that sometimes circumstances change the narrative so I didn't need rigidly keep my word no matter the cost. I learned when I was twenty after coming home from the military that there were things I preferred to my pursuit of being perfect at everything I did. I have always been easily distracted by ENFPs warm positive energy and that irritated me when I was in high school and up to around twenty when I met another ENFP that for whatever reason I couldn't keep myself smiling all the time around her. I still think about her often even though I haven't seen her in 15 years. I learned patience around 10-12 years ago with a young lady I adored but due to lazy parents she had no idea how to function on her own. I taught her how survive and be independent when it calls for it and she taught me patience. So I agree wholeheartedly that these relationships work best with growth. Though I'll admit learning lessons young and always respecting other people's right to be themselves gave me an advantage many INFJs never have. Currently I'm trying to learn how to not be overly protective of the people I love and not to be such a worrier. Those I'm finding those harder than giving up my pursuit for perfection, being less rigid and being patient. Hopefully I'll get there.

Please forgive the off topic ISFJ comment: ENFP man married to ISFJ 13 years, together for 14. We call ourselves The tortoise and the hare, we joke to ourselves.There are some similarities, there are some difficulties that arise as well, especially with conversation, but honestly I think any pairing can work depending on the emotional health and maturity of the individuals. This is my second marriage, my first wife of 14 years was an ESFP, she was the singer of the band and I was guitar player. Not good long-term match, maybe a good best friend but that's about it. We both agree on this to this day.

Interestingly, I as the INFJ am the idealist and optimist in my relationships, and I have found my ENFP friends to be on the more pessimistic and “realist” end. The Ni-Ti of the INFJ leads them to block out reality sometimes (or oftentimes) in preference of their visions and ideals. Whereas the Ne-Te of the ENFP means that their intuition & imagination takes reality more into account.

My boyfriend and I broke up 2 months ago after a very passionate 6 month relationship. I'm an ENFP and he's an INFJ. This is the only video I've seen that perfectly describes our dynamic and our problems. I'm devastated by the break up and keep searching for answers as to why we couldn't get along. He was constantly irritated by me and called me negative. He started turning every conversation into an argument even though I am very non-argumentative. He was very irritated by my changes in plans and me being indecisive about things... He was not spontaneous, and I am.

"Every pessimist as just a scorned optimist". I am an INFJ, and I have experienced many negatives in my life as a result of the this human experience. But it was my internal resilience and optimism that gave me hope. I can't agree that we aren't optimists. In fact, we are, but most likely, we have been hurt so many times by reality, that we THEN become jaded at times. And so having an ENFP is like reconnecting with that young innocent inner child before the world ruined us. That is what you are experiencing.

I have experience with being friends with an enfp in my life and its really inspiring and full of joy but only if an enfp is not morally corrupted, otherwise, everything positive mentioned just fades away.
It also makes me sad not to see everything all rosy out in the world, I'm just realistic but there are days when it hurts so much that the ENFP relieves all that heaviness from us.
Lol most of my friendships are ENFP’s haha however, I’m a weird INFJ I’ve learned to push myself out of my bubble which is hard and extremely uncomfortable. Very very true, I can be black and white, however I’m also developing more way of looking at the positives through the negative values. I know ENFP’s like to be encouraged. I keep being spontaneous even though it scares me because it makes my life more interesting when I’m always doing something though I give myself a day to recharge.

I agree with most of this but don't agree with the negative outlook on life coming from INFJs. I am an INFJ 5w4 and tend to have a pretty optimistic look on life. I do have logic to balance it though, but I am never going to think negatively before positively or realistically.
Idk if I'm a unique ENFP but I can trace my ideas and explain myself logically and articulately. I don't have that problem of not knowing where an idea came from... this could be from my F only being 55% or my N being close to 90%.
As an enfp I’m probably not that typical. I have many ideas but indeed follow through and finish some of them. I’m outgoing but get overwhelmed very quickly and then will avoid people for a while. I feel so excited and anxious about the future. Like I know I need to follow through but I get so insecure along the way. So I really appreciate the presence of a calm infj. And they are just precious human beings.
Hey guys I’m also an ENFP. I found that the only times I get overwhelmed is when I have to use the shadow part of the brain which is infj and it’s very mentally draining. But if I’m out with other intuitives I can talk to them for hours and have limitless energy. I think you have to find the right people to be around to unlock that extra version all the time.

I have so many friends but why you? she said hmm that’s simple “I just ignore you” what she mean is, do whatever you think it’s good, I‘ll walk with you without doubt. Actually, Michelle, INFJs are perceivers. Our first function is Introverted iNtuition, a perceiving function. The letters for introverts are a bit deceptive. The P and J are flipped for introverts because the lettering system of MBTI is uses the first _extroverted_ function. In an introvert, that's always going to be the second function. You're right, we'll bring some law&order into your life, but we're both perceivers. Just remember to switch the P and J for introverts. ENF(P) = Ne, Fi, Te, Si INF(J) = Ni, Fe, Ti, Se
Yes, i definitely like the socionics look that Ni/Si doms are actually perceivers, though I was focusing on the elements for people who are newer to MBTI. I don't think that INFJs being perceivers changes their need to have follow-through and to finish what they start :D
@Francesca C Thinking and Feeling are decision making or "judging" functions. Sensing and iNtuition are "perceiving" functions. The direction, introverted or extroverted has nothing to do with that classification. E.g., Fi, Fe, Ti, & Te are the judging functions.

It’s always said that ENFPs and INFJs are inside-out (and vice-versa) versions of each other and I agree. ISTPs and ENFJs, I guess, are the other INFJ shadow types and I’m sure they’re al compatible relationship-wise. From what I’ve seen they are.
Matter of fact this ENFP dude is doing laundry dishes and about to try to fix a dryer that is squeaky. I have gone insane. Thank you so much for pointing out how the cognitive stack factors into this, I was guilty of this as well when I first started seeing all of this on Facebook years ago. Then I actually started learning how it works. The emotional health, abuse issues from the past, maturity how well they're able to engage their secondary functions in a healthy way, all these things factor in the likelihood of a successful relationship.

The infj you're discussing is an unhealthy infj. Then, we may be codependent and ppl pleasers, perfectionistic, pessimistic, you name it (and you did 🤣). But when we're healthy we tend to be more optimistic while staying very realistic, we set and maintain healthy boundaries, and we stop living in anxiety of what other ppl think. And THAT'S exactly when the enfp gets bord and frustrated and downright abusive. Everything else you say is spot on!! It is electric.

I want an ENFP :) You guys have such a great vibe and one added benefit that you didn't touch on. INFJs sometimes have a tendency to chameleon. It isn't intentional; it just happens. I think I help him re-center himself, because I genuinely care for him and want him to always be his authentic self and be comfortable... It can be super similar- but ENFJs need more Fe and emotional support. Because they need more emotional support, that can be draining, but with the similar interests very rewarding!

As an INFJ guy, what I've understood after a while is that our type's personality is just "balance": if we are with someone more optimistic and cheerful, like an ENFP, we become more realistic and grounded, but if we are with someone realistic and grounded, like an ISTP, we are the ones to turn optimistic and cheerful.
Our personality is literally just whatever is needed for balance to be achieved.

I am an infj and my husband is an enfp. 20 years together. We had our ups and downs, but this is a magical love story. Best friends, soul mates. Socionics does not "approve" this relationship though, preferring duals instead. I may say there are downsides, but who does not have them?
Downsides:
1. I try to control him, bc he is kinda irresponsible and carefree.
2. He has no idea about time and deadlines: he just procrastinates, forgets things. I am his alarm clock and notification bell. I wish he was more responsible. I live as if I have 1 year left (so I have to plan everything) and he lives as if he has 1000 years to live (so he has plenty of time and doesn't need planning)
3. He doesn't plan things properly and we may get into situations, so I am always in charge of packing, planning, booking.
4. His jokes are too inappropriate and foolish. Mine are sarcastic.
5. He is a little more selfish from my viewpoint. Also I have to fold his laundry and find things.
Anyways. I wouldn't change our relationship. It is said that duals are a perfect match, but I don't think this is always the case.
INFJ here - I just recently took the MBTI test and I find it fascinating how accurate it was to me. ENFP's seem to be the kind of people that I have a mutual understanding with, something I am not use to because I generally have to be someone else to other people. I personally like to empathize with people and take on their problems as if they where my own and that takes a extraordinarily large amount of energy from myself. I feel like ENFP's don't require this kind of treatment it's almost like the people who are ENFP's are the same to INFJ's are to other types. The ENFP is my favorite personality type so far because of the compatibility they have with my own. I enjoy ENFP's company because when they get me to talk about something I am interested in and knowledgeable about and They understand me more easily than other types. As a INFJ I find when I talk about stuff that I care deeply about I describe it through feeling, metaphor and sentiment due to this it makes it very difficult for most people to comprehend because it's not purely based off of reason and logic. I have one ENFP as a close friend and she is very a genuine and open person that cares about me a lot. I hope this was fun to read as much as it was to type, expressing myself through text is a lot more difficult than talking because I have to make it make sense. lol

It was really great, I'm really sad to see what I've lost, especially when I see all the comments... We had to break up (even if we didn't want to) because he's Muslim and I want my future kids to have the choice. He understands. He found another girl (an ISFJ) and that hurts me a lot. I sent him a text about how I was feeling, that I was finally sure I wanted to be with him for the road even if at the end we wouldn't have been together. He said it was adorable, but that the only solution was to see if it works out with the other girl with the time, that he can't leave her like that and shouldn't have done it with me... I'm INFJ and my boyfriend is ENFP. I agree with this completely. I'm always so anxious about the future and every decision, but he's so chill about everything. We've known each other for 10 years now and we always gravitated towards each other. So interesting :) It still blows my mind we got together a few months ago. I never loved anyone this way. I am dating another INFJ and she was raised in a similar culture and we share the same faith and politics on top of it. We are both deep people who have no use for superficiality and shallowness and we are both communicative!. I don't know about me, but she is intelligent and interesting(I think she is just being nice when she talks about me). I under the potential for disaster(huge disaster) with two INFJ's who don't share the same world views/core values and two INFJ’s in a relationship will either be a match made in heaven, or something you may never recover from because they knew you the deepest, they understood you, and it still didn’t work(because of different core values/not enough similarities and not enough work on strengthening typical INFJ weaknesses)- but our relationship is unbelievable. We ARE confirmed INJF's but we are both analytical, logical, objective, practical, reasonable and easygoing(except when easygoing isn't appropriate, neither one of us are afraid to confront others). Think of a lively, warm, emotional(in a positive sense), passionate Mr. Spock(from Star Trek). We have both worked on strengthening the inherent weaknesses of INJF's in ourselves before we ever met. We relate on a level that is almost supernatural. We get along almost seamlessly . We understand and comprehend each other as well or better than ourselves and the similarities we share in personality traits, beliefs and opinions are eerie. We always communicate and never shrink from resolving issues, never avoid discussing differences of opinion when they do occur, but in a year and a half we have never had a fight. This stems from our similarities but also from being real, genuine and sincere people and not seeking our own well being first; our strong inclination to meet each other’s needs creates a healthy balance of give and take.
Thanks to our auxiliary function of Extroverted Feeling (Fe), my INFJ partner and I have a knack for taking into account the emotional needs of others and we utilize it and apply it to our relationship. That said, my observations of people putting themselves first in any type of friendship/relationship have only deepened my appreciation for my INFJ significant other, who, without thinking twice, seeks to fulfill my needs just as often as I do hers.

I’m an INFJ and I am fascinated by ENFP types. I find them very entertaining to be around but I agree that hanging out and being in a long term relationship where you live together are totally different. But I think mature adults with life experience can make it work because they know how to compromise and be mindful about the other person’s needs and pet peeves. INFJs and ENFPs are very different in their outlook and approach to life.
LOL. I'm an INFJ and I'm a really big-picture kind of person... My ideals in life is actually really huge... Quite honestly I'm scared that I'll slowly forget this kind of enthusiasm once I grow old, but no. I can't live without it... Maybe its just me, because I've suppressed a lot of stuffs I wanted to do as a child that I still can't move on and cling dearly to my undying ideals and expectation for this world....

I've dated several ENFPs and I didn't argue with any of them. Though oddly only one of them ever cheated on me and I didn't say anything I just walked away. Anyways I think my not bringing reality crashing down on them was due to my strong moral belief that everyone has the right to express themselves in whatever way they are most comfortable with. Either that or I just hate conflict that much

It was probably my fault as much as hers for getting involved with her so soon after they split. Though a year and a half isn't exactly a short time either but I'm sure you understand what I'm saying.
It's unfortunate things went down that way for two reasons: she was a sweetheart and I really enjoyed being around her and second she and I ended up having a son together that she didn't tell me about and I found out she wouldn't let me see him. And in NY it's up to the mother. So it was huge disaster all around. But like I said none of the other ENFPs I dated did anything like that. One died, one stopped taking her meds and her Schizophrenia got out of control and I'm still friends with the other one.

Those experiences together seem to be very intense. It sounds like you have lived a very interesting life so far. I'm sorry that your child is being kept from you. It's sadly very common for women to do that as NY is not the only state whose laws work like that.
@@PsychologyandChillwMichi I also wanted to mention that I 40 years old and I have more or less moved passed many of my types shortcomings like the need for perfection and I was never controlling of others but I was very rigid in how I behaved. I did not start conflicts as a personal belief and that had led to many problems with the girls I dated that weren't ENFPs. I refused to treat others in a negative way even when they were doing it to me. My first hard lesson about my rigidness came when I was 14 after I did something incredibly stupid to keep a promise was the result was my best friend/girlfriend was killed. I realized there were more important things and that sometimes circumstances change the narrative so I didn't need rigidly keep my word no matter the cost.
I learned when I was twenty after coming home from the military that there were things I preferred to my pursuit of being perfect at everything I did. I have always been easily distracted by ENFPs warm positive energy and that irritated me when I was in high school and up to around twenty when I met another ENFP that for whatever reason I couldn't keep myself smiling all the time around her. I still think about her often even though I haven't seen her in 15 years.
I learned patience around 10-12 years ago with a young lady I adored but due to lazy parents she had no idea how to function on her own. I taught her how survive and be independent when it calls for it and she taught me patience.
So I agree wholeheartedly that these relationships work best with growth. Though I'll admit learning lessons young and always respecting other people's right to be themselves gave me an advantage many INFJs never have.
Currently I'm trying to learn how to not be overly protective of the people I love and not to be such a worrier. Those I'm finding those harder than giving up my pursuit for perfection, being less rigid and being patient. Hopefully I'll get there.

We call ourselves The tortoise and the hare, we joke to ourselves.There are some similarities, there are some difficulties that arise as well, especially with conversation, but honestly I think any pairing can work depending on the emotional health and maturity of the individuals. This is my second marriage, my first wife of 14 years was an ESFP, she was the singer of the band and I was guitar player. Not good long-term match, maybe a good best friend but that's about it. Interestingly, I as the INFJ am the idealist and optimist in my relationships, and I have found my ENFP friends to be on the more pessimistic and “realist” end. The Ni-Ti of the INFJ leads them to block out reality sometimes (or oftentimes) in preference of their visions and ideals. Whereas the Ne-Te of the ENFP means that their intuition & imagination takes reality more into account.

My boyfriend and I broke up 2 months ago after a very passionate 6 month relationship. I'm an ENFP and he's an INFJ. This is the only video I've seen that perfectly describes our dynamic and our problems. I'm devastated by the break up and keep searching for answers as to why we couldn't get along. He was constantly irritated by me and called me negative. He started turning every conversation into an argument even though I am very non-argumentative. He was very irritated by my changes in plans and me being indecisive about things... He was not spontaneous, and I am.

But it was my internal resilience and optimism that gave me hope. I can't agree that we aren't optimists. In fact, we are, but most likely, we have been hurt so many times by reality, that we THEN become jaded at times. And so having an ENFP is like reconnecting with that young innocent inner child before the world ruined us. That is what you are experiencing.

I have experience with being friends with an enfp in my life and its really inspiring and full of joy but only if an enfp is not morally corrupted, otherwise, everything positive mentioned just fades away.
We can be total downers and in a super arrogant way. I really hate that part of myself.
We all have a part of ourselves that we don't like, but I can tell you that I do often appreciate that you are able to see and express the negative.
It also makes me sad not to see everything all rosy out in the world, I'm just realistic but there are days when it hurts so much that the ENFP relieves all that heaviness from us.

I am an INFJ 5w4 and tend to have a pretty optimistic look on life. I do have logic to balance it though, but I am never going to think negatively before positively or realistically.

Idk if I'm a unique ENFP but I can trace my ideas and explain myself logically and articulately. I don't have that problem of not knowing where an idea came from... this could be from my F only being 55% or my N being close to 90%.
As an enfp I’m probably not that typical. I have many ideas but indeed follow through and finish some of them. I’m outgoing but get overwhelmed very quickly and then will avoid people for a while. I feel so excited and anxious about the future. Like I know I need to follow through but I get so insecure along the way. So I really appreciate the presence of a calm infj. And they are just precious human beings.
As an ENFP too, I read our extrovertedness can be perceived as introverted because we require a lot of recharge time. I identify with that.
Hey guys I’m also an ENFP. I found that the only times I get overwhelmed is when I have to use the shadow part of the brain which is infj and it’s very mentally draining. But if I’m out with other intuitives I can talk to them for hours and have limitless energy.
I think you have to find the right people to be around to unlock that extra version all the time.

I have so many friends but why you? she said hmm that’s simple “I just ignore you” what she mean is, do whatever you think it’s good, I‘ll walk with you without doubt. But if it went wrong, we’ll ignore and pretend it’s never happens. She never aggravates my faults. She just “ignores” it! She’s always proud to had me as her best friend.

Actually, Michelle, INFJs are perceivers. Our first function is Introverted iNtuition, a perceiving function. The letters for introverts are a bit deceptive. The P and J are flipped for introverts because the lettering system of MBTI is uses the first _extroverted_ function. In an introvert, that's always going to be the second function. You're right, we'll bring some law&order into your life, but we're both perceivers. Just remember to switch the P and J for introverts.
ENF(P) = Ne, Fi, Te, Si
INF(J) = Ni, Fe, Ti, Se
Yes, i definitely like the socionics look that Ni/Si doms are actually perceivers, though I was focusing on the elements for people who are newer to MBTI. I don't think that INFJs being perceivers changes their need to have follow-through and to finish what they start :D

@Francesca C Thinking and Feeling are decision making or "judging" functions. Sensing and iNtuition are "perceiving" functions. The direction, introverted or extroverted has nothing to do with that classification. E.g., Fi, Fe, Ti, & Te are the judging functions.

It’s always said that ENFPs and INFJs are inside-out (and vice-versa) versions of each other and I agree. ISTPs and ENFJs, I guess, are the other INFJ shadow types and I’m sure they’re al compatible relationship-wise. From what I’ve seen they are.
Matter of fact this ENFP dude is doing laundry dishes and about to try to fix a dryer that is squeaky. I have gone insane. Thank you so much for pointing out how the cognitive stack factors into this, I was guilty of this as well when I first started seeing all of this on Facebook years ago. Then I actually started learning how it works. The emotional health, abuse issues from the past, maturity how well they're able to engage their secondary functions in a healthy way, all these things factor in the likelihood of a successful relationship.

another more significant difference is enfps "find" you instead of the otherway round for infjs

The infj you're discussing is an unhealthy infj. Then, we may be codependent and ppl pleasers, perfectionistic, pessimistic, you name it (and you did 🤣).
But when we're healthy we tend to be more optimistic while staying very realistic, we set and maintain healthy boundaries, and we stop living in anxiety of what other ppl think.
And THAT'S exactly when the enfp gets bord and frustrated and downright abusive.

I want an ENFP :) You guys have such a great vibe and one added benefit that you didn't touch on. INFJs sometimes have a tendency to chameleon. It isn't intentional; it just happens. But ENFPs don't seem to cause this as much. I don't know if it's because we're so opposite in some ways and already the same in other areas. The way we clash is actually pretty awesome. OR it could be because your type tends to morph a bit, but either way it is really nice. :)
Yey boyfriend (INFJ) has the temdency to chameleon and forget to stick with his core... I think I help him re-center himself, because I genuinely care for him and want him to always be his authentic self and be comfortable... I think being stable in yourself is very important and helps you enormously through life. ENFPs are a bit like earth: stable, patient, forgiving...
