    I'm a stickler for as clean as a rack as possible for both the front and back, but it's harder than it seems. Takes some time to figure out how to properly space everything for a nice clean look, and cable management is a whole other thing. That just takes experience and trying to copy what the pros do. Anyway, a solution definitely missing here is a patch panel. Terminate all those ethernet cables to the back of the patch panel and then do nice short runs to the switch. That'll definitely help clean up the front a bit.

    • @hatoraidcowboy
      @hatoraidcowboy  4 месяца назад

      Yea I thought about a patch panel but didnt want to hassle with the wiring lol I actually coulda mounted the ethernet switch in the back but it would have posed some challenges. The back actually looks a lot better in person. I have some “loose” wires that arent tied off yet because I still have a few things I need to do. But it’s like 95% better than it was before lol Wiring is a pain though

    • @danielwander605
      @danielwander605 4 месяца назад

      @@hatoraidcowboy Definitely progressing. I ultimately switched from zip ties to velcro ties even though I prefer the zips. It makes it easier to clean things up later on and make changes. It just takes time though and depends on how crazy you want to get into it. I started making all my own cables to get all the lengths as close to exact as I could. Learned how to solder and save a few dollars in the process. Most people probably are not looking to spend their time on this stuff though.

    You have an RMC 1 but don't use half of it because it's too buggy? Why didn't you return it? It's not dig or an attack on you or anything. Not sure when you bought it as the price has severely come down since release but it breaks my brain to think that it's being kept after spending so much money on it especially when there are other products in the exact price range with better audio, a working video section, and access to Dirac Live multi-sub DLBC i.e. the HTP-1 at $4k plus the full DLBC license at $500 (plus a UMIK) OR an open-box (unused) Denon A1H for $4.4k plus an $800 full Dirac DLBC license (and UMIK). I mean heck.... you could buy an open-box (unused) Denon x4800h (if you don't have more than 11-ch) and buy a license for DL DLBC, all for $2.4k and still be on-par with the RMC-1 for S/N, THD, and dynamic range.
    You don't have to answer. I'm not trying to attack you, question your money-decisions, or call you out in any way. That's totally your business. I just wanted to share that my brain is broken. haha
