    Great seeing some of you in the chat this morning 👍 First time I've used subtitles. Noticed they cover some of the graphics. I will sort that out next time...

    We have a couple of these. Great finish on weekly cuts but fortnightly in peak season double cutting is sometimes needed.

    I bought one of these a couple of years ago .. I found it a bit twitchy when trying to get a straight line with the front wheel drive .. belt threw off once ( easy enough) then the front tyre came off after a good few months of use .. I didn’t find the engine revs good enough and when the grass is slightly damp it just leaves a mess .. I have been mowing for 40 years ( not constantly) 😃…. and thought it could’ve been a bit better in my opinion..

    Great post. Definitely right about using dealers, I buy all my Stihl equipment through my main dealer. They always deal with issues quicker and have always helped me out

      Yes, it is good to keep a good relationship with the dealers 👍

      I agree Carl, but what is the price point difference you are willing to sacrifice to support and utilise the dealer?
      For example, I can purchase a Honda HRX537 online, £153.00 cheaper than from my dealer.
      Its a lot of cash!!!
      Great video and nice cut with the Stihl.

    Would you say that a dedicated mulch mower does a better job of mulching than a 3 in 1 mower can?

    • @dagtailgroundmaintenance
      @dagtailgroundmaintenance  Год назад +1

      I would say so. I'm using the lawn-flite Pro and collecting at the moment. I'll mulch later in the dryer months.

    Keep talking to your customers about mulching there are so many advantages but there is one big disadvantage the clippings walk into houses and offices Etc. Can piss customers of a bit

    • @dagtailgroundmaintenance
      @dagtailgroundmaintenance  2 года назад +1

      Cheers Marcus. On that day there was no debris to be seen but on a wetter day with longer grass that could be an issue. When the leaves start dropping we will go back to collecting anyway. I'll have to make a video on a wet day so we can see how it performs.

      @@dagtailgroundmaintenance I work on a site with 20 acres of grass all collected to stop folk walking in grass clippings. When the clippings get wet they stick to shoes. Just saying as customers may see the same issue.

      I think it's good to have different options. I'd rather collect than leave a mess. I think great for the summer months then go back to collect in the autumn on the commercial jobs. We will continue collecting at the residential jobs unless a customer likes the idea of mulching.

    Been looking at this mower what is it like for speed is it as fast as a collector mower or slower.
    Looked abit slow in your vid .
    What’s your opinion on it

    • @dagtailgroundmaintenance
      @dagtailgroundmaintenance  2 года назад +1

      When using the drive it was moving at a good pace I thought. I wouldn't want to walk much quicker. I think I need to take it out on a wet day and see what it can do. Make a quick vid.

    That cable tie is dangerous it defeats the purpose of the safety feature and if mike uses it and has an accident the mower wouldn't auto shut off so as an employer you would be liable.(Think safety of staff )

    • @dagtailgroundmaintenance
      @dagtailgroundmaintenance  2 года назад

      That's why I added the disclaimer. I feel comfortable using it for myself sometimes but wouldn't allow a member of staff to use it as I'm aware of the liability. I agree with your comment 👍

    • @dagtailgroundmaintenance
      @dagtailgroundmaintenance  Год назад +1

      Very subjective. Needs to be a regular cut, wet or dry if you want a nice finish. If it's not too long, it will handle wet grass
