Hi Carl, Thanks very much for your videos, really helpful. We're based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, and have a couple of grounds maintenance contracts where we might be able to offer this. Where's best to source salt and a spreader like yours please? Dale
Hi Dale. I used a seed/fertiliser spreader. It's well built and I manage to get it done. Below is a company that has some different options. I buy the grit locally for around £6/25kg. Easier to move and store in small bags. I have 9 bins on this site. We top up the spreader as we walk past each bin. Saves going backwards and forwards. www.tudorenvironmental.co.uk/winter-products-and-salt
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance Thanks very much! That's really appreciated :) Have a great 'rest of the weekend'!

@hillbillyjohn230 Thanks, John. You too 👍
Hi Carl & Mike Nice one Thanks again

good add on service carl 👍 you might need a snow plough for Monday 😂❄️
@@thegeordiefellwalker8878 I'm hoping it turns to rain by then 🤣
L&s are brilliant use them a lot and strimmer line good price when i last purchased
What Stihl battery long reach do you use 135 or 86 how do you find them
@@neilgreen9285 I used both. The 135 in this video.
Just subscribed and love your videos and love the new truck and just watched your visit to the tip with the old truck very informative to people you deserve more views. My tip is 15mins away and £25 minimum upto half ton then so I suppose £50 or not much more per ton I've only taken just over half a ton each visit so far.
@neilgreen9285 hi Neil. Thanks for subscribing. Getting rid of waste is an important part of the service. I managed to do a deal with a local farmer this year. It's been brilliant
I am a gardener and an exterior property cleaner and when im vacuuming gutters out occasionally have to go up and pull out weeds from downpipe if the vac can't do it its usually when the weed has wrapped itself further down the pipe, i don't blike having yo go up lol😅
@@neilgreen9285 do you have a petrol power washer? I'm thinking of buying one
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance Yes I use a honda slipstream pro20 15L min 250 bar but am going over to a watertec honda 21L min 200bar this year to use for roof cleans. At the moment in brushing them and Biocide. Rutland pumps is the place to get the pressure washer. 👍
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance The gutter vac was an amazing investment great returns. I have a skyvac 85 industrial carbon poles. I do a variety of work through the year gardening and property cleans.
@neilgreen9285 these 2 services seem to fit well together. So much moss about with these wetter warmer winters. Thanks for the information 👍
Hi we use AP 500 battery's with our combi trimmers . Used on 2 green lights they last most of the day. Best thing we have. Garry Solihull
Looks good mate. These machines save lots of work.
That looks loads better than before, thanks for the video
@stuartreadman118 Thanks, Stuart 👍
the driveway came up lovely carl 👍 done my last job of the year yesterday.
@thegeordiefellwalker8878 cheers. 2 jobs on Monday, and then we are off until mid-January
I use my westermann quite a bit as the moss always comes back and you get regular customers.
@darrenupton5500 I think after all the leaves are down, it's good to do the carparks, etc, and it gives us some work during the quieter months
I need to get mine on the go 🙄
@@smartfactorgardenmaintenan4831 I'm going to need a new brush head soon

Nothing stranger than folk
Hi have you had any ignition coil problems with your Echo blowers? My last one needed 4 new ones over its life, but apart from that it was superb. Ive got the Bg 86 now and although it has some good points it sounds awful. Like a bag of spanners i reckon I'll only get a few years from it.
The customer is always right, so let him be right and pay you twice😂

Nice Job Guys Farmer I do a bit of work for has the same saw we like using it no point having a big saw for little jobs Thanks again
@DJC995 is easy to carry round too. Mine has done a lot of work
I do a fair sized driveway, 160ft, and all I do is blow it on the grass either sided with a br600 back pack blower and mulch the leaves with a John Deere mulcher walk behind. Takes about 1 1/2hrs. There is no right way or wrong way in gardening so long as the job gets done and the customers happy. If a gardener wants to get down on all fours and pick up the leaves from the driveway then sort them out into colours, then fine. I always try to take nothing away from jobs. Some customers have been encouraged to get a leaf mould bin going. But they're few and far between. Great vid mate. Summers not long to go now!
@bobbelsekwol thanks for the detailed comment 👍 yes, we all have our own way and often depending on the tools on hand. This place is a farm, so we don't take anything away, fortunately. I don't think there are many more businesses as subjective as gardening. Hope you have a great weekend, mate 👍
Good job
@nheemogg good to hear from you, Aunty. Hope you and David are well ❤️
I’ve found our Stihl blower is very underpowered with leaves on wet grass whereas our Hyundai backpack blower is a beast and can send the leaves for miles. Saying that I prefer the hand held Stihl as it gives a lot more control around corners/obstacles. Especially in the small residential gardens. Backpack blowers tend to be a lot noisier as well.
@DullGardener good comment mate. The backpack blowers definitely have their place. You might even see me with one one day 😀👍
same here carl never really needed a backpack blower 👍
Love the echo blowers...and the backpack one😅👍👍

I used to take on any garden i could when i started but now i pick and cboose, I find the dog gardens arent too bad... Its the gardens that get a visit from all the neighbourhood cats and foxes that i hate 😭
@Jordan.E hiya mate. Do you have any work in Solihull? 😀
@dagtailgroundmaintenance haven't got any at the moment mate, I would like to get in that area though
@@Jordan.E still cat poo there I expect 😅
Dogs, terrible access and repeated late payments are the three reasons we’ve dropped customers this year.
@DullGardener I find January is the best time to drop customers. Give them time to find other alternatives
@ We dropped us off in October but gave them a months notice (if they wanted that) We couldn’t stand sticking with them any longer than we needed to 😅😅
Great job 👏
Thanks Stuart
