I believe they are going to be making them in to apartments soon it will be a shame to see it completely gone a not renovated back in to a local social club.

My father was president also, and chairman before that, he was a founder member of the Ivy leaf when it was just a house, - I remember your Father, was he Harry Corfield?
      my Dad was Norman Meeson,
I really want the plaque that was on the wall, between the sports room and "new room" as it was called, it had deceased members names on, lots who fought in the 1st world war, my Granddad's name was on there, their names were written in gold leaf, wonder who I could ask, -
Dee you missed a room, just off from the Cotswold room at the front, - the other room was the "Spanish room", - if you go back please look for the wooden plaque , - wish I could win the lottery, I would restore the Ivy leaf, back to it's Glory days, so many good nights there, xxxxxxxx oh and thank you for standing the poppy wreath up = respect !

@@bunikelly6033 yes you are right, I remember the plaque at the top of the stairs. Also there was another plaque and photo on the opposite wall of both our fathers with the Lord mayor( I think )
I still have the booklet of the opening of the club in 1973 . Shame to see it as it is now
