J RINE, When pinball games used Microcontrollers they used PIA chips to turn on and off the FETS switches to the solenoids, relays, coils, etc. Why did pinballs games use a PIA chips any advantages of use PIA chips instead of using a multiplexer/demultiplexer chip or going direct to the Microcontroller output pins to turn on/off the solenoids.coils,relays switches in pinball games?
J RINE, why does older pinball games linear power supplies use only one filter cap rated at 27,000uf and higher capacitance? what ground modifications are you doing to pinball games?
I'm not sure why they designed them the way they did, probably to save money. The ground wires are not reliable due to cold solder joints, so I ground them properly is all..
@@zen311 , why does the AC lamps cause a buzzing noise in pinball games? I'm not sure what the differences are between a DC lamp compared to an AC lamp but the Lamps won't work if you put in an AC lamp bulb into a DC lamp circuit any reasons why? a lamp bulb is just a coil of wire i thought

the batterys you put in there are 1.5 each. the overall voltage at most should only be 3.6 all together
