Every time I see Odin/Zantetsuken, I have to think of that huge Genghis Khan statue in Mongolia, the largest equestrian statue in the world. It looks like it's just waiting to be summoned.
At Odin's CGI the music is timed so perfect at close-up of his face, jumping of cliff and then the running.. just gave me chills !!:D

this video has been making me scratch my head for years. Where'd you get that last part (starts at 2:55)? I cant seem to find that version of The Summoned anywhere in RUclips. I've listened to the original The Summoned audio and Those Who Fight Further versions and nowhere did I hear any part even close to it.
I've been wondering that myself.

Imagine putting these summons and other enhanced elements in making a remake of the original FINAL FANTASY VII! It will be AMAZING! Might be the greatest game ever made!

Odin is in the second folder, sixth mission of Zack the Materia hunter missions. You can't miss him since the missions are unlocked by completing other missions. However, Pheonix is in chapter 9. Speak to the boy standing outside to trigger the option at the water tower. When you climb up, you will get the Pheonix materia.
Crisis Core has the most epic summons cutscenes of all FF.

Crisis Core is for PSP and Video graphics are equal to the movie Advent Children.
In Crisis Core the graphic switches to Video if you summon an esper.
The song in the Video is from the game itself and it is called: "The Summoned" (from FFVII "Those Who Fight Further")
just looking at this vid, it's really amazing to see how far final fantasy has come! compared to the teeny tiny people what seems like a thousand years ago! let's hope it gets even better....(if that's possible!) hehe 'Long Live Square!!!!'
I remember that this video made me buy my PSP a couple of years ago.
This is the best psp game I played and I love the final fantasy games because I a world filled with fps this series is still here to catch the imagination of games with it's amazing cutscenes that square know how to design

You simplay gotta love how you can summon those huge beasts in these games in every battle, destroying even the very rest of your fiend in fatal flames and devastating light beams, and the whole rest of the world doesn't like even notice.

you get Pheonix when you first go into Nibelheim, talk to the boy in the centre of town. he will start a quest known as the 7 wonders. he will wonder why the water has gone red in the town, all you have to do is climb the water tower in the centre and you get Phoenix materia. you don't get Bahamut zero he's known as Bahamut Fury in this one simply do all the Yuffie quests and you have to fight him twice before getting him ^_^ hope that helps

Summons depend on the DMW (Digital Mind Wave) I was way underleveled for final boss but Pheonix literally saved my life. You don't choose to summon it, it's only if it gets randomly selected on the slots.
When Cloud killed Sephiroth at the end of FF7, Sephiroth's soul got devided by 3. Those 3 souls are Kaj, Yazoo and Loz. They wanted to reunite, but they did not know why. If they make contact with pure Jenova cells, they would turn into Sephiroth. And about that geostigma, well..
It's just a virus that some people have and others don't. And Cloud just happened to have it, but Aerith cured them all by using her healing water.

I don't know about anyone else, but ever since Advent Children was introduced and all of Square Enix's fandangled new technology; I've wanted to see a CGI rendition of my favorite summon--Knights of the Round.
In most FF games Odin uses a sword for minor enemies for instant kill. But he will usually use a spear for bosses but that varies from game to game. So he does just not always.
This deserves the million view mark

The item needed for teh Cait Sith summon is called Cait Sith's Megaphone , and is found in a chest in one of the missions in ''Zack the treasure hunter'':P

You know, when I first fought Bahamut Fury the very same day I bought Crisis Core (2 months ago) I was like, "OK so you shot at the moon? So what does that do OOOOOOOOOOHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!" I was lucky to be left with 1 HP and he's the only DMW I'm missing!!!!
I like to see fucking Nanoha try and go face to face with Bahamut. Whoever said she had the most fire power definately never met Bahamut.

I added the video when FF7CC was released in JP... I did not know if the game there were other summons, because I had just extracted from the video game. Now I correct the title of the video ;)

It's my understanding that these are some of the more major summons, that they have minor summons that don't get a CGI scene.

correct! And, this isn't all the summons featured in FFVII and CC; there's Cactuar's 1000needles as well as chocobo and Mog.

Ramuh was a summon in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9...along with Tactics and a few others.
By comparison, Ixion was only a summon in X. He was a boss in X-2 and XII. Likewise Quetzalcoatl was only a summon in 8.
All were in Revenant Wings too.
So, I'd say that Ramuh is way ahead still.
