I need your help here I have 2004 freightliner Fl70 1 Axle not tandem GVWR 36000 The trailer 40ft Getar mead gooseneck weight empty 10000 the ticket is steer 7300 drive 9260 trailer axle 26220 total everything with the truck 42780 is this legal? thank you
I DON’T think so. Your truck is only rated for 36,000lbs?? IF that’s true, your 6,780lbs over your gross weight. I don’t have a lot of experience with a single drive axles. The rule of thumb, (with twin drive axles) is: 12,000 / 34,000 / 34,000 That’s the max…which equals 80,000 lbs.
@@TruckersLife1 I just bought it the GVWR 36000 on the driver and passenger door outside sticker I don't understand How pick up f350 can get more weight and I have freightliner FL70 ?????
It all depends on what your truck is registered for. Your using this truck for commercial work, right? Look at your “cab card”, your “apportioned registration” sheet from your state. It will tell you what your truck is registered to carry. For instance, mine is 80,000lbs. It’ll also tell you what your truck is rated for in ALL states.
Wow you Explain this so perfectly where I can understand it now thanks so much dude😀👍
Hey Alfred. Thank you, I’m glad it helped 😊

I carry chalk with me. Like your formula on figuring hole placement. But I use the Truckers Slide Calculator, and it works great.
Helps lot to me,Thanks…..
Thank you so much ❤
Very clear explanation
I wonder is a magnet would also work in place of the rock method? Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
I think a magnet is a great idea!! 😃
Good job, I might retitle video to "How to adjust trailer tandems when overweight". Just a thought. ;)
Thanks 🙏🏾
Preciate it
I think for the purpose of this video, you should have done a reweigh then show both tickets to corroborate your numbers. Good video tho!

42,780 - 36,000 = 6,780 over GROSS
