People arguing about which "sanji" is better between the original and live action adaptation without considering the fact that both are perfect for the audience they are aimed at
they definitely did a proper Sanji depiction for live-action. Actually got charm and respectful (not just to women), and takes getting shot down with class
Live-action Sanji is so genuinely warm-hearted and kind (to both men and women) that his flirting doesn’t actually feel icky/annoying like Sanji in the anime/manga. I kind of prefer this kindly Sanji who takes such delight in feeding people and seeing them enjoy his food, and only gets salty with certain ppl (Zeff and Zoro) who annoy him, tbh.

He gropes Nami when he's in her body, he sneaks into a bathhouse invisible to see them naked, he oggles at them whenever they wear something slightly revealing, he leaves his friends in a dangerous situation to find a harem etc. He absolutely makes comedy out of women's discomfort and it's extremely icky for a character that's meant to be a main "good guy"

So they have to downplay and adjust a lot, including Sanji’s gag
i barely knew the anime/manga before the Netflix version & couldn't understand why the girls were brushing Sanji aside. He's cute, strong, kind, great chef & fighter. I was like "Are these girls blind?" haha! Then I started watching the anime & now I know he's such a simp. I guess Taz is such a likeable person that it translates into his work
That's the joke. Sanji flirts with every hot woman at sight and they always find him creepy. The only one who fall in love with him, did it because he drops his perverted tendencies. And then we have Luffy, who can't care less about romance, making the most beautiful woman fall in love with him.
Different worlds. We live in a relatively better one. The sisters live in the Pirate infested one. Too many other worries to flirt for no personal gain. They do lighten up as the series progresses (check 'Nami's happiness' punch from anime).
On Season 8 of One Piece and I have to say …IM SO GRATEFUL TO NETFLIX to toning down Sanji it’s not cringe it’s not like goofy 🤪 or anything it’s just Sanji being kindhearted and flirting a little to Nami and her sister. In the anime Sanji can’t seem to focus especially when Nami or any other girl is around. I really appreciate Netflix for doing something like this.

this Sanji is like a perfect adaptation of manga Sanji but a bit more mellowed out compared to the anime where they really exaggerate his character sometimes (I love Sanji in all forms but yeah..)
