@@AceSolomon94 Nami and Zoro have always had an interesting chemistry/relationship but not one that stood out as much in the anime. When been watching the series, read the manga, watched the movies and now the Netflix version it's clear to me that Nami and Zoro have a interesting chemistry between each other, probably since both been with Luffy the longest and part of the Romance Dawn trio. The Romance Dawn trio is a very underrated trio and it don't have as much focus but it's there. It's only in the timeskip we see less of Zoro and Nami dynamic as they no longer interacts anymore. I do miss the times Nami and Zoro interacted. It's done so well in the Netflix their chemistry, a chemistry they already had in the Romace Dawn manga.
I love their friendship. They bicker at one another, but they care for each other. I don't ship then, but see why others do, I see them as sister and brother.❤
I just want to see how they play Nami's constant extortion of Zoro. Especially the deal she made with Vivi at Whiskey Peak

She did that as to make Zoro listen to her, he's such a bone head that she must use money or the word promise to get him to listen to her but she uses money mostly as a way to protect people or help people or to push away people from her, it's a manipulation tactic yes but Zoro nor Luffy can't do much without Nami's understanding of money. She keeps them in check like a mother. In return they use their strengh to protect her if need it.
Every time Zoro gets lost, he always encounters Nami first. They fought and trusted each other a lot. Like to drink and are still the same age They talk whenever they have free time.
in the source material, they have drink match as a way for Nami to make $$, she does that to everyone in the crew, like charging ppl for food she cooks when Sanji's not around and lending clothes with 200% interest. hate to pop the bubble for normies shippers, no romance among the Straw Hats is Oda's rule.

@@Choshako Exactly. I understand shipping. People love romance in general, but Oda himself was against it in One Piece and I completely agree. This is a crew and any romance between any of the members would distract from the main story and change the dynamics too much.

xD I like their friendship in the anime and the live-action, always opposites...literally while Nami goes North Zoro goes South(because he thinks it's North). Just the fact that they annoy one another, but got each other and Luffy's backs.
Also I thought it was hilarious in the arlong park ep where Sanji holds his arms out for a hug and Nami runs by him to hug Zoro and Usopp xD like he didn't matter...

I never ship them in Manga or Anime, but i see these actor and actress are so charming, so we can feel so chemistry together. Smart sass girl & cool dumb guy, always plan & and mess one, navigator & always lost. Normally i ship Zoro and Sanji but in this live action the actors don’t seem to have chemistry, or maybe im wrong.
Its because this season Sanji didnt have many screentime. I believe in the next one, Zoro and Sanji will interact more. I mean, romantic or platonic, they are the "Pirates King's wings", they can't be separated

ZORO X NAMI makes sense only for ROMCOM fans of One Piece.
ZORO X ROBIN makes more sense for
many other fans because it is EPIC.
Their chemistry is undeniable whether platonic or romantic but also they'll be a very predictable couple if they gonna be endgame. Their chemistry for me is like Natasha & Steve from CATWS they also had strong chemistry but directors said they will be very predictable as couple so they remained as friends only. A lil bit of me want them to paired up just like Nat & Steve but they're better as friends only. Also man and woman friendship is very rare onscreen.

Best live adaptation ever.....sure aloy of things missing...anime comical reaction and slap stick stuff......but can't have it all and need to make it work for live adaptation and the relationship as friends is 1 of them

Plus, that storage space had Nami's trinkets and navigation tools stashed in there, I don't think anyone would be that stupid to use that as a toilet.

Bcs as a fan of one piece for 10+ years, having a romance between zoro and nami will drastically change the show for me. Im not against romance ofc, i love shoujo animes, but one piece is not that kind of anime and i want it to stay that way in any kind of adaptation

I like how great friends they are, but I'm shipping Zoro with Perona so I'm happy with Oda opposing the very idea of in-crew romance.
I feel like adding a romance side story line would make this show look so cheap. Every Netflix show that is not horror always has romance. It has been done so much that they have run out of ideas and just reusing them, most notably love triangles and jealousy. By subjecting this show to adding romance won’t just make it look cheap but also very busy. With searching for the one piece and everyone’s independent goals, adding romance will take away from these main story lines and maybe even character building. And lastly the realistically of it. I feel as though none of these character would be even interested in anyone (except Usopp of course) until they meet their goals and can finally focus on that romance aspect that some of them may want (I don’t think Nami or Zoro want it). So yeah, that’s my two cents.

Its not the netflix LA's decision it's the mangaka Oda who won't allow it. For good reason, it makes more sense in the manga but they are more family/siblings than romantic.

Think Oda is going the old fashioned route of building a ship - taking your time with it & let it come naturally.
This live action took a lot of inspiration from the early Nami-Zoro interactions & what it really could've been had they had the screentime.
No worries though, Oda has a plan for everything & it's amazing to see him unraveling the whole thing slowly, one moment at a time.
One Piece really is the ultimate analogy of a manga/anime gumbo meal. I'm sure Luffy would approve.👌🏾💯
