Amazing explanation of such an important concept. This concept will help in understanding the evolution of Ampere's law and Maxwell's groundbreaking contributions to electricity and magnetism. Imagine you have this classic framework of Ampere's law, which beautifully describes the magnetic field produced by steady currents. It's like a solid foundation that scientists relied on for years.
But then along came Maxwell, armed with brilliant insights and equations that added new layers to this framework. He realized that there was more to the story than just steady currents. His equations showed us that changing electric fields can generate magnetic fields, and vice versa. It was like discovering a hidden connection, a dynamic dance between electricity and magnetism that went beyond what we previously understood.
After this just try to read the Optics book by Hecht (3.1.4 especially page no. 41 and 42), you will this concept appreciate even more.

    A query sir
I am 12th class student and about to appear for boards
Sir, I have a question that what is the definition of "present time"
Our future is continously becoming our past like a continous stream of water whose rate of flow seems to be undefined.
Let a room be one universe and we keep a ball inside it at rest.
How do we define the time for that ball
IF At t=0 and at t=t^( at any instant) the state of ball is same....can we say time has stopped for that ball.
can we say that if an object doesnt move or experiences no change in its state , time has stopped for that object.
and can we say for a paticular object TIME IS RELATIVE TO ITS STATE OR ANY CHANGE SUBJECTED TO IT?
thank you for your great explanation!

Sir I have still confused because I have learned this concept like this way. If we placed dielectric in capacitor, now if the E field exist between capacitor then dipoles are induced in dielectric with +ve charge on one side and -ve on other like (+ -) Now E field is changing continuously so separation between +ve and -ve is increasing like (+ -) means +ve charge of dipole is going left and -ve is going right if applied E field is right to left inside capacitor. It means motion of +ve charge in left and -ve is going right inside capacitor. Now this motion of +ve towards left and -ve towards right inside capacitor constitutes current , known as displacement current .
Is it correct or not ?
Please clear my doubt sir 🙏🙏
