Sir, I am very lucky that I am born in the same era where the greatest teacher of the world Sir H C Verma is also born. I grew up reading your concepts of Physics in the year 1997 when I was in class 11 and the same book is kept with all care and now my son studies from the same book who is in class 11. I have deep love and respect for you sir. You have made Physics so much lovely and enjoyable. My Pranam 🙏
Sir my name is Akshat I am from class 10th I am always confused that why an ammeter is connected in series and a voltmeter is connected in parallel also why the current divides in parallel connection and voltage divides in series connection, I have heard that the current always travels the shortest path so why does the current travels through our body (with high resistance) when we touch a live wire why does it not travels through the copper wire only isnt it the shortest path ??
Cuz the current will travel through shortest path, low resistance and high potential difference. If the current passes through our body it will directly reach the earth, which as 0 potential. That's why
BECAUSE IF WE CONNECT VOLTMETER IN SERIES THEN VOLTAGE GOT DIVIDED ON THE CONNECTED COMPONENTS EX BULB SO VOLTMETER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEASURE THE ACTUAL POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE SAME WITH THE AMMETER IN PARALLEL CURRENT GET DIVIDED IN BRANCHES OF THE SYSTEM IF WE CONNECT AMMETER IN PARALLEL THEN IT IS NOT ABLE TO MEASURE THE ACTUAL CURRENT AND REST OF YOUR QUESTION REGARDING THE CURRENT FLOW THROUGH BODY AS WE KNOW CURRENT FLOW DUE TO POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE i.e. is voltage and as current cannot flow from lower potential difference to higher potential difference so it flow through our body as we are connected to earth potential is considered to be zero so thats why current flow through body not flow back in copper wire i hope you are ablee to understand it
Ammeter is connected in series cuz it measures current which is constant along series. Voltmeter is connected in parallel cuz it measures voltage which is constant along parallel
Sir please tell me the wavelength of black color. If black color appears due to no light emerges (reflected/refracted etc) from any source , then how the images of black objects is forming in the retina.
Sir I have mailed you a question about your Shanka Samadhan Video of "Mathematical Clarification". Sir please answer the question. Thanking you in Anticipation..
Hello Sir my name is Mohan Kumar , I study in class 10 I have a question related to Q Light chapter.. sir when I pass light rarer to denser medium its move towards the normal but when we passes a light through a concave lens its move away from normal sir tell me why it happen I am very happy when you answer my this question
Let's the radius of the coin be R, And we toss the coin in three ways A. Thumb is hitting the coin at 0.9R from center B. Thumb is hitting the coin at 0.5R from centre C. Thumb is hitting the coin at the centre Question: If the force of hitting the coin is same for all cases, will COM gain the same height in all three experiments? I think no, Because in A and B the coin will gain a rotational KE (as it will spin) in addition to its vertical translational motin. So the same energy will be used in both translational and rotational KE. Whereas in C the coin will not spin and and hence will attain max height. Am I right or I am not getting something?
I am impressed by your logical thinking. However the initial energy is provided by you during the flicking. If you apply the force for a time dt, the displacement of the point of contact is different in the three cases. So they start with different total kinetic energies (rotational and translational). Finally they will reach the same height. Xavier-bv6yd: Sorry, I interrupted. You wanted Nilotpal to think more on it which is what I also generally do. But I knew that I will not come back to this post, so could not restrain responding. I rally liked Nilotpal's questioning spirit.
Sar i had a question Say a block of mass m is moving initially with a velocity v⁰ and the coefficient of friction u=Alpha×X. AND at centre X=0. Find max power developed as a function of x co-ordinate.
Sir !! I have a very interesting question for you about magnetic field . Sir why every magnetic field lines are close curve around any magnet why not in shape of rectangle or any other shape why always close curves
As a 10 class student.... Keep compass on the north pole of magnet ... if we will mark the tangential direction it automatically will be going curved because South pole is also attracting that compass needle .....also there would be only one tangential direction of the figure formed hence it's a curve..... Hence it forms a loop ....also inside the magnets there are also magnetic lines helping it to become entire curve.... 🙏🙏
Hi Sir, first of all thank you so much for your contribution to education, your book has inspired me to pursue physics. Secondly sir, I had a related question relating to rotation and COM. If we apply a force on an object NOT going through its COM, we analyse using a torque with the axis being through the COM. Fundamentally, WHY does a free object even have to rotate when a force is applied not passing through its centre of mass, and why is that rotation always about the COM? Thanks, A Grateful student.
When a force is applied to an object in a way that doesn’t pass through its center of mass (COM), it induces both translational and rotational motion. For a "free" or unconstrained object (one not fixed to a pivot or axis), the COM acts as a natural balancing point for rotational motion. The object’s rotation around its COM allows for the simplest form of motion that preserves its angular momentum. This is why when we observe objects spinning freely, their rotation naturally centers around the COM. If we tried to analyze rotation around another point, the math would become more complicated because it would involve additional fictitious forces. Analyzing rotation around the COM simplifies things. If you choose a point other than the COM as your reference for rotation, the object’s inertia and the force distribution will create complex internal torques and fictitious (non-real) forces. These fictitious forces arise because the rotation is no longer centered at the COM, and thus, they don’t represent any real physical forces acting on the object. Newton’s laws for translation and rotation work seamlessly around the COM. When you analyze around the COM, you can apply Newton’s second law directly to calculate the translational acceleration of the COM and apply the rotational form of Newton’s second law (τ=Iα) to calculate the angular acceleration. Analyzing around the COM reduces the problem to dealing with just the actual forces and torques present, without introducing complexities of extra terms.

Naah u can't do it for electric field because in basic formula of electric field due to point charge ,there is term 1/r² which doesn't match with formula for calculating centre of mass (£dm×r/£dm) but while calculating diapole moment for a charge distribution u can assume whole charge concentrated at centre mass of the body, reasons ( P=dq×r ) whiche clearly resembles with formula of centre of mass

You are right but just missing a small point. Try to figure it out.
I think it is torque which cause rotation not force so com will, have diffrent height due to diffrent value of torque

It can be proved using maths that square and circle having same perimeter, area enclosed by circle will be always more than that of square.
