Regardless of showing a place considered “the most old school backwoods”, one thing people who don’t live in places like this realize is that, people in these small towns, run down or not, all know each other and look out for each other. I found solitude on the big porches where we once sat in the evening as a family to talk and laugh together. I felt peace and love. 💕

Showing how people are surviving under these conditions is heart breaking especially when there's so many black millionaires and billionaires in the USA. So instead of spending money on drugs or super big houses or hiding it over seas or marrying younger people or whatever they are doing why not reach out and help these struggling families?
Okay! I am from the Caribbean and I know that every country have rich and poor but are those dirt roads I am seeing? I am trying to think of a dirt road in my country. Lots of potholed roads yes, but no dirt roads. First opportunity I would have been out of there and be nostalgic from afar. How can a developed nation have such undeveloped towns. That is strange to me.
The situation in Dawson and every run-down town or neighborhood in America can be traced back to two things: (1) the Democrats with the Great Society of the 1960's when the government revved up the FHA with totally delusional financing programs to make sure that all blacks would forever be wed to the Democratic Party, and (2) the Vietnam War which was totally bogus but which quickly introduced millions of American servicemen to Southeast Asia drugs and addiction on an industrial scale. Credit for both goes to old white men in Congress who got us into both - may they rot in Hell.
I’m not American and tbh if you didn’t tell me this was the states I would think it was a developing country, don’t mean to offend - I don’t think houses like that can even legally built where I live

It also is by population percentages the most violent area of California (statistics right). Brother Charlie you’ve been to California a couple of times now, but you always bypass. You’re fearless…, so hopefully next time in Cali swing by NoTown (Fresno) & all these NoTown Assassins. Fresno is the 5th largest City in Cali, BTW, making its population base larger than many entire State ….
Nobody care about Cali
@@dcfl2147 u cared enough to comment
@@smerkish6242 yeah but he's telling the truth, don't live in cali.
I love myself some Philly and Dawson GA🎉❤
This close to Coleman? And shellman? Ft Gaines?
It's about 20 miles North of shellman. I was raised in Coleman ga.
Better than some I've seen.
Are there people living in those houses?
The polar opposite of these wonderful folks is Elon Musk .
This is reality .
If only I could buy back my Great Grandmother's land!! She owned half of 9th Avenue. From the stop sign down 🤎WENT FROM COUSINS..AUNT'S, UNCLES, GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER AND MORE on each sode of the street!! #Oneday😔
Omg it look so boring there did you grow up round here
@@arthurhudson3592 it looks boring now...but it wasn't about...30 years!!
Showing how people are surviving under these conditions is heart breaking especially when there's so many black millionaires and billionaires in the USA. So instead of spending money on drugs or super big houses or hiding it over seas or marrying younger people or whatever they are doing why not reach out and help these struggling families?
Only if the government in this country actually cared about its people
the people are the government- obviously they do not care.
Dang dude u went down to the backwood backwoods
These are type of homes that if you live in them, they will teach you rigorous lesson
I like it, it's very peaceful !
Reminds me of another place down south where car is worth 3 times as much as house.
Lol, noteven close to being as back woods as we can get. Love, Georgia
Saudações do Brasil. Gosto muito de ver seus vídeos.
One thing you didn’t see was homeless camps filled with people from one street to the next street.
Yea , right ?
Is it safer to drive through these towns in a a rusted oldie or a new car? Charlie's car sounds kind of flashy..?
we keep safety on us at all times!
weren't you a little nervous at 4:55 Charlie?
Down home 💜
That’s confusing. There is Dawson County GA, and Dawsonville GA. This is a whole
Different place.
This is Dawson Ga, Terrell county
I wish the people that have families that don't live there anymore then someone needs to tear down the old houses.
I hope the world starts to notice that there are a lot of poor people in the United States. Even if you work , everything is expensive
Thinking you are 200% correct
This is flat untrue, this started with the founding of this nation..
@@muchhops Please elaborate. I would be very interested.
One word: beautiful!
That needs to be redeveloped!
Looks like the 1940s
I’m from texas mane I love the dirty south!!
So what is with the Blue House's,,, color code for we got the stuff...
What does « backwoods town » mean?
I’m not American and tbh if you didn’t tell me this was the states I would think it was a developing country, don’t mean to offend - I don’t think houses like that can even legally built where I live
These are just very old homes. Probably 70-80 years old
Looks so peaceful! I would accept this over the city anyway.
I went to high school in Dawson, the worst 4 years of my life.
Really? Why. Did you go to Terrell academy because Terrell high was great, at least for me. Green wave’s
@Alvin Jones I was in class with you, I'm happy someone was having a great time. 😂
I was just down the weekend it still looks the same
I used drive 3 hours to see my boo thang back in 2005 to 2007 or 2008
0:58 Ukraine ???
Everyone will learn sooner or later what is happiness and survival...
These people are rich more so than the ones living in larger cities especially people living in apartments
Wow remind me of my hometown Lagrange ga
