he would never have killed her, she was his alibie, which should represent his normal life for, also he hated / hates prostitutes! I think she is a lovely woman, but she was probably extremely naive and that played Gary perfectly in the hands! I used a Googel translator to write this, hope you understand what I mean ;-)
That was a heck of a story! There was some strange chemistry at work in their relationship. I feel sad for her, even the first marriage ended with a low blow.
The most scary part about this story is that he was so normal!! He was kind and thoughtful and not aggressive or violent. The carpent-thing no one of us had thought more about; people buy new carpets or re-new their homes from time to time! The early mornings he had; what was there to wonder about? I also wake up early,go out while everyone still in bed because I love mornings, when everything is fresh and quiet outside! I would never have suspected anything about him either,as would no one else who knew him either!
I think I could understand if she stuck by a man who was decent to her. How could you walk away from a man you have only known to be kind, loving and fun? Very sad.

Denial can be so strong, I remember reading about a woman who was murdered by her husband. Turned out he was a serial killer and she'd even written in her diary that he'd come home covered in blood the day a young woman was murdered and claimed it was from fishing.
This case definitely affected American culture, particularly in the Northwest region. There was a grunge band Green River named after the Green River Killer. And Twin Peaks was partly based on the case. Many people in the Seattle area said they couldn't watch Twin Peaks at the time as it was too close to home, and the serial killer was still on the loose.
I'am italian In August 1989 , 23 Years old I was at the evergreen State college south of Seattle I see the documentary for the first time but I'm sure Rigdway picked me up the freeway ramp We had to drive to Seattle with 4 other college students but just as we were taking the highway I thought better of it, I just didn't feel like going to town so I got off. I had long blond hair and cycling socks (.... although 187cm tall) I did not hitchhike ... but he invited me to get on ... I thought of a courtesy, he reddish brown hair, goggles and an innocent face I naively went up and sat down but instinctively got out immediately, the car was a mess inside. "No thanks I'm going on foot" I told him. Then I didn't pay attention to what happened to me, I didn't even know there was a serial killer in the area, but then I reconnected everything. Now I do a copy and paste in English and send it to some American site. I wonder if he ever confessed he was wrong
Maybe she's just daft and innocent like Betty. She said that she didn't watch the news, not everyone does, just to avoid stress, however you'd think that people she knew well or aquaintances, maybe just strangers when shopping would mention it in some way.
She didn't watch the news and worked at a daycare. Seems like the standard old school thought of be a homemaker and ignore the bad things in the world.
Leachking LDN That is why he chose her. Ignorant, careless and naive as long she had him at night in her bed.. Around her and the rest it didn’t matter. That shows her caring personality. None of it just selfish living in her own world.
Watched his trial where one husband spoke right to him and said I forgive you . That killer finally broke down and cried . He had no emotion throughout until that moment. Even though he is a monster and he knows it there is a part of him that wants to be normal.
I've read and watched the Green river killer case and this is the first time I've seen his wife talk about him. In a way I understand. I wouldn't want to show my face everywhere on TV too if my husband's a serial killer.
