    "Remember that this is Rain World and these things can still fucking murder you" Yep. Best summarization of the game honestly. You can technically master the game and kill any living being (big bois like Leviathans and Guardians require special weapons but still can be culled. Worm grass is the only exception I can think of) but get slightly unlucky or be slightly underprepared and you are completely fucked. You could get to a point where you could reliably kill a Red Centipede but get cucked by a humble blue lizard on your way out of a pipe.

      Or 3 kv show up and your to farm from a pipe to book it out and you get shot from the harpoons coming from every angle(this has happened to me one time when I was kv hunting

      @@shadowbonbon3 Vulture RNG is something bro. I remember getting into a hell cycle with spearmaster in the sky islands (between chimney canopy and sky islands end to be precise.) Not only did I keep getting an absurd amount of vultures, had to deal with the orange and cyan lizards in the sky islands, I also got a damn shelter failure. All that just for a dumb scav to nick my pearl right before the end. Needless to say, I got pretty enthusiastic about playing artificer afterwards.

      as someone trying to get better at fighting creatures better and dying to stupid things all the time this makes me feel a lot better, especially after fighting an army of scavs and a vulture before dying to the last guy because i kept picking up corpses instead of spears on accident

      @@sodatab2746 scavs are typically more dangerous than any other enemy though. I'd rather fight a king vulture or a red centipede than a group of scavs.
      Overall, I recommend picking your battles and ensuring exit strategies whenever applicable. Oh and for scavs you better have REALLY good reflexes because they absolutely do.

    I call the disconnected bridge extending from the wall at the top of chimney canopy the vulture execution zone since its so easy to bait them down to the end and then camp them from the shortcut and when they try to escape they have to go down the whole length of the tunnel so they're basically trapped.

    With my admittedly somewhat limited experience, I think I found another way to cripple them.
    I ended up finding out the hard way that they can spawn in Pipeyard, though I wasn't alone. Had an entourage of scavs on my side, who only managed to damage the wings.
    But when it tried to fly away with a meal in tow, it's left wing wasn't working quite right, and it just flew sideways, into a wall, and wouldn't stop.
    It's probably not as effective as other methods, but it did prove useful to me, as it left it wide open for me to go in for the kill.

    I just had the weirdest encounter against a King Vulture. I was starting in Farm Arrays attempting to get a vulture mask. I activated the vulture grub and a king vulture came. I evaded the first two shots and then I proceeded to spear him. He resisted like 5 shots but then I missed two and I had been left without spears. The vulture was very injuried... And he was in retreat (walking) . Then a normal vulture came and ate me... And suddenly the King Vulture aimed his spears at the normal vulture and shot him down, releasing me. Is it as he was saying " That bastard is mine to kill"

    A basic summary of the miros vultures since this vid was posted right before the downpour:
    *Miros vultures are extremely, if not ridiculously powerful.*
    Anatomy:
    Miros vultures have the same lemon shaped body, neck, and double the wings as a vulture, only notable difference is that they have no mask, just a miros bird head.
    Abilities:
    From the same crusty musty ugly head they have comes scissor-like jaws, that of which will kill you, them, and everyone else. If you even remotely get close to these jaws, unlike regular vultures’ charge attacks, they will instakill you. No exception, just snip snip.
    If you somehow managed to damage a miros vulture enough its second attack will trigger-its literal laser beam. This beam starts of as a yellow line likely coming from the miros vulture’s eyes. After a moment, wherever the beam ends is where a fatal explosion occurs. Luckily, due to being dramatically damaged they usually aim downwards and keep the beam from you.
    Killing:
    In general, just don’t.
    Unless you TRULY wanna flex, I recommend explosives, since miros vultures have an active beak that will kill you if you get close. Really the only way to kill such a beast are like 3 explosive spears lodged into the body.
    If you’re mentally insane you could use spears but… yeah no we’re skipping that one.
    Grenades aren’t much of a reliable weapon either, however if you can catch one off guard you can drop it into the abyss.
    Using another creature as bait isn’t very easy, as miros vultures for some reason prefer the scug over EVERYTHING. If you do manage to feed one something though you’ll have to move quick to lodge in those explosives.
    If possible, use a singularity bomb, it’s the only reliable weapon and might as well be the on,y garauntee death for a miros vulture.

    • @ForgettableYT
      @ForgettableYT  Год назад +2

      This is all pretty accurate from the limited testing I've done, yes.
      The only thing that differs is that miros vultures activate their ranged explosive attack *on taking any damage at all,* up to and including a thrown rock. If you're careful, you can use this to interrupt the instant death snipping (while it charges up the attack), get some hits in, and then get into cover to dodge the explosive. Thankfully, they also have the suicidal overconfidence of miros birds and don't tend to run away that often. Enough repetitions and patience and it'll eventually die.
      Eventually. They are tanky as hell and any fuck up will lead to death by snip or death by explosion. "Just Don't" is good advice.
      There'll be a video on these things too, eventually. Probably. Given sufficient time.

      @Whydoiexisthere- Год назад +1

      @@ForgettableYT most of the stuff I wrote here is going from the wiki and a few “hey I’m bored let’s open the arena mode” tests lol
      Also That’s weird? Last time I remember a single spear didn’t get those living tanks to wail out their laser. Probably has to do with the anatomy tho, as those spears mostly hit the wings. You might’ve just gotten lucky with that rock and hit its head or body. Cool to test out though!
      Edit: goldfish memory strikes once again lol. Turns out they ARE big babies and cry after one spear. Though It could’ve been that I used explosive spears instead?

    • @Ezzekiel73
      @Ezzekiel73 Год назад +1

      From my experience, the best way to fight them is stunning with either an electric spear/jellyfish or using a flash bang (although I believe their mouth still swings around dangerously and might nab you if you get too close), but electricity stuns them completely for a decent amount of time and you can get a few hits in before trying to restun them to keep them locked. They WILL NOT use their laser guided explosive when stunned nor their beak and are completely harmless for the duration, BUT DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THEM!!

    Time to make another video on the Miros Vulture

      Initial experimentation on Spearmaster shows that they can tank an explosive spear to the face. Also, unsurprisingly, they retain the instant kill bite of miros birds. And they have a ranged explosive attack. Engage with caution.

    2:00 how to reach karma gate to canopy? Every time I kill 1 blue lizard 4 more of different colors will come and just sit still until I die. Because I cant farm carma due to food lack and due to low karma I cant reach the gate normally.
    I mean I never struggled this much with any level in any game

    Miros vulture isn’t even a real vulture if you don’t think about it

    Does anyone know how many cycles a vulture will hunt you after you get it's mask? Cuz I was playing in my survivor save with 2 slugpups and I stabbed a vulture once, to my luck it hit it's head and now it's been murdering me or my pups for a while. I just can't progress because of it and I can't fight it bc of my pups 😭

    your vids have been helping out a lot but do you have any strategies for combatting white lizards and red since reds are a nightmare and whites i can't beat very consistently

      I know I keep mentioning videos that'll eventually come out in ten bajillion years, but a generalized bulk lizard video is on the itinerary.

    It looks like you're using the same spear on enemies over and over. How are you doing that?
    My understanding is that once a spear is thrown at an enemy or wall, you can never use it again.
    Is that not true? Can you pull them back out?
    Or is there a way to use the spear without throwing it?

    • @ForgettableYT

      spears embedded in creatures can be removed and used to stab them once more -- in this way they are infinitely reusable

    • @ForgettableYT
      @ForgettableYT  11 месяцев назад

      Eventually. I know it takes them at least a cycle because I could only get maybe three vultures in a cycle before I had to wait for them to regenerate.
