For this particular band, look up the lyrics and read the lyrics as you listen to the song. If you read the lyrics as you listen to the song it will feel almost like you can hear him crystal clear and it will make perfect sense. Beleive it or not, the lyrics are actually very deep and poetic (in my opinion, at least). I am glad you were open minded to give this band a try, even if it is not the type of music you typically enjoy.
This might be the most beautiful reaction i have seen to this song, and I've seem probably 90% of them. As someone who gets regular emotional experiences from music, "To the Hellfire" was the second most powerful and intense experience music has given me, and its still my overall favorite song. I can listen to this song to relax or if i wanna destroy shit. I'll relay my best interpretation, its definitely an emotional rollercoaster and the songwriting is so good that just when you start to get bored of a section it transitions to put you in a different emotion instantly, then the ending..... I'm currently recovering from years of severe anxiety and depression, i would say this song delivers a very similar emotional response that having severe anxiety feels like. Multiple emotions at once usually with a form of fear being the quickest emotion a person can pick out.
@@BellahMel07 2015 Blackbriar - "Until Eternity" this is due to Zora's voice, it cut through my soul and sent shockwave like chills through me and her voice continues to do so. I follow a ton of female fronted bands and I consistently check out female vocalists from many different genres and many solo artists but there's only been a few that have come close to affecting me like Zora's voice does. I'm not sure why exactly it affects me the way it does but it started my side quest for learning about audio/sound and how it affects biological things, I've learned a lot but it will be a lifelong type of journey. Its made me fall back in love with music and now i also train as a vocalist. Most powerful "spiritual" experience so far would be Darkher - "Lowly Weep" As of 2 days ago the most powerful overall has been Lorna Shore - "Into the Earth", such an intense ride!
I’ve been listening to Metal for about 20 years now, but when I heard this song for the first time I had the same reaction that you did. By far one of the most intense songs ever written. I just subscribed to the channel, and thank you for sharing your reaction with us. Cheers 🤘😊🤘
I'd say that the beauty of metal is hidden behind the intensity.. it's what makes it amazing. Similar to classical composers, the full heavy orchestra is something to be in awe of but you can hear the beauty through the wall of sound. Like while this song is brutal/intense and heavy, its still very beautiful.
So glad you made it through even though it was tough. I have been listening to metal for over half my life and that includes some Death Core probably from the age of 18 or 19. I am fairly well versed in all sorts of heavier music. But this song, hits you like a truck. I've listened to it hundreds of times now, and I still feel my heart rate increase every single time I listen to it. Your Mixed feelings are perfectly understandable. The song trips so many triggers, and I can imagine to anyone who's not versed in heavy music, when these triggers are tripped it's just jarring. Then in the opposite direction you have some orchestral music and guitar work that just absolutely sucks you into it, and pulls you down into it. All the while you have a drummer who is just absolutely killing it the entire song. It really stacks up as one of my favorite heavy songs of all time. Awesome reaction! Also everything Lorna Shore has put out after Will Ramos joined is a must hear. Not saying the songs before he was doing vocals are not worth hearing, but Will Ramos is just absolutely amazing.
Mad respect for sticking towards the end despite crying. And even more respect for acknowledging that it actually takes talent to scream like that and that he is not doing it mindlessly. Like well deserved. :)
Omg you went from not listening to metal straight to Lorna Shore?? Thats like never having drank before and then deciding to chug everclear. Props for watching the entire thing lol you rule! 🙏🏻🫡
This one had a very obvious impact on you. Its not always pure joy, but when someone finds the access to extreme metal, it doesn't matter if you understand the lyrics (which are very strong btw). And for those who aquired the taste, it can also bring out tears of pure pleasure and joy!
Thanks for seeing it through to the end. Believe it or not, this man can really scream like that. No BS. It’s not harmful to him at all as well. Also, for the non metal fans: we just read the lyrics and learn them. For a song like this you listen to it many times and get the feel for it and learn lyrics
I don't know if I should be envious or glad that media can't do this to me. I get transported by my favorite music, and I get intense vibes, but not so intense that I would cry, unless it was connected directly to a prevailing exterior event (like a death in the family or something). I marvel that this happens to people. Kudos for sticking with it and seeing the talent required to do vocals like this.
You hours absolutely look up the lyrics. They’re beautiful. Metal is what you could call often the ugly truth and lyricism on a lot of metal is masterful. Lorna shore just shows how beautiful metal can be
Oh my God, finally! After so many hundred reaction videos, this young lady feels the passion and pain of this song, rather than the raw heaviness. This is what I've been looking for!
I’m sure someone’s already suggested somewhere in the comments but, Will Ramos - hypnosis (sleep token cover) will give you a different look into who Will is as a vocalist. Thank you for giving Lorna Shore a chance, I can promise it means the world to fans of this style of music and probably means more to the band itself. You have a new fan and subscriber.
Oh my goodness you’re such a pure soul. I mean that with love- when you expressed such fear it really tore at my heart. I wanna give you a big ole hug haha. Yet, despite your distress, you still ended up praising the band and the talent it takes to make music, especially stuff like this. I’m sorry it upset you, I really am. I myself have a visceral reaction too but it’s one of energy, joy, adrenaline….. If not this kind of music, I hope some other music does that for you. I hope you listened to that right after this as comfort. Music is healing- all genres can be healing. Thank you for making this, much love sent your way ❤️
Damn girl. I saved this reaction. Your feelings you were having without knowing the lyrics was amazing. I know the lyrics which makes it even more emotional. You have the best reaction I have ever seen before. Great job, WTG!! I LOVE this reaction. 10/10!!
This is an amazing reaction and this subgenre of metal in particular is definitely the last jumping off point for non metal fans that I'd expect to begin with. I've been listening to extreme music for 30 years and let me tell you, very few bands illicit a true emotional reaction from me. I've listened to countless songs and thousands of bands but Lorna Shore had something special going even before To The Hellfire. Will's vocals are insane but the lyrics are amazing and the songs are an honest conversation about life, death and what may or may not lie beyond. The speed and the ferocity along with the death growls are usually too caustic for most people. You don't casually just listen to deathcore, but if something about this song stoked a visceral reaction from you, then I'd say they succeeded, even if you never listen to another song of theirs again. Amazing reaction and thank you for sticking with it.
Glad to see you back Empress! It's called growl vocals or cookie monster vocals. Don't worry he's not possessed 😂 Will Ramos, the singer, is using his false vocal folds to create the vocals so not to ruin his vocal chords. Tomorrow on The Charismatic Voice RUclips channel, Will Ramos will be singing while having a scope down his throat to see what is happening while he sings. Should be interesting.
@@aroemaliuged4776 just wondering if you've ever actually made music? Tried to play something live? Easy for keyboard warriors to say things like this but just goes to show you don't just have no appreciation for the music, you haven't any idea either 🤷

Can you feel the PAIN of this World, in thought this song ? finally a second way to see this song to (or to listen a dying man talking to the Death). Obviously you were a little in shock , this "to the hellfire" make feel that, that's a normal "human" reaction between Will Ramos voice (from hell like a beast), the Lyrics & this amazing instrumental. Thx a lots to react about this powerful song... We salute you from France Dear & keep safe !!!
You have one of the most interesting and deepest first-listen reactions to this song that I've seen. Beyond the visceral reaction to the harshness of the sound and the music, you seem to have felt the underlying emotion of the song and that's a rare thing indeed.
I saw them tonight live. My ears are still ringing and I can’t hear. I played smash bros with the bassist and I got a pic with the drummer. Talked to the guitarist for a bit. They’re very chill guys.
Don’t worry. I cried too. I cried because just when I thought metal was dead and it was time to move on to something else, Lorna Shore created one of the greatest songs in the history of all of music. I watched it once. without stopping, shed a few tears of bliss and I went to sleep and didn’t hate myself anymore.
Wow… I’ve never seen this kind of reaction to music this heavy, the way you don’t know this kind of music and you can’t understand a single word, but are still so able to intently follow the emotions of the song was amazing to see.
This must be the most honest reaction i have ever seen. If u know, and expirienced the Darkness. The Darkness will always come upon u at any time. And it will break u off!
They kinda threw you into the deep end with this one, but it's a song that you eventually grow to love after you listen to it a few times. And yes, they there are lyrics, you really start to hear the words through the screaming once you get a ear for this kind of music for a while. Honestly there is nothing wrong with not understanding what he is saying and just experiencing the music. It's raw emotion in a couple minute package, I can imagine how intense this was for someone who doesn't listen to this kind of music.
I’m glad you were able to connect emotionally with the song. Especially since it was something so far out of your comfort zone. And thank you for appreciating the talent it takes to be able to make the sounds that Will Ramos is able to do. He is a very special vocalist. Most “outsiders” think it’s just nonsense, but you understood it takes years of training to be able to do that properly. P.s. I love your accent. 😊
Talk about learning to swim by jumping into the deep end. I applaud you for sticking with it. This is song was a sensory and emotional hammer blow when I first heard it, and I've been listening to similar music for almost 20 years. I cannot imagine what it must've been like getting blindsided by this song and genre.

You amazing girl. I am from Malawi. I'm a white guy born there. I loved metal since being a teenager. I've never been to Nigeria but if Nigeria is similar in culture as Malawi, I have to say I am really impressed that you sat through that. You are quite open minded, and that is a fantastic quality to have as a human being. Explaining heavy metal to my Malawian brothers and sisters has always been a bit of a funny challenge. Most of the time i'm comforting them explaining that it's not truly about Satanism, it's just social rebellion much like rap is. I am impressed thay you noticed that it requires skill to sing like that. Even people in 'developed' countries fail to recognise that sometimes. You're cool. Bless you sister.
Thanks for keeping up your channel. It is an absolute pleasure no matter what you chose to react to. Could listen to you describing the weather and be fascinated by it
Your tears are shared. This genre of music...its part comedy, part absolute glory. All emotion.. and the fact that no one can reproduce it. Including the instruments.
What surprises me the most is that someone recommended this as your first metal song. This is a RAW thing to listen to. You don't have to put yourself through it if you don't feel comfortable with it or are not enjoying it. There's a place and a time for everything, so no worries🙂 Most of us who listen to stuff like this had to get accustomed to it (as you said). If you actually feel like it, go for easy to digest progressive music with little to NO growling, and proceed from there. Tool, Haken, Leprous, are all good choices.
So much respect for you being that you made it through the entire song💯 you dove in head 1st to probably one of the most brutal deathcore songs, check out one of the interviews with the vocalist Will Ramos and you'll see he is such a genuine nice goofy guy
I actually cried the first time listening to this song as well even before knowing the lyrics not for the same reasons, I just could feel his energy and the energy of the song and I related to it heavily
Another amazing song from these guys would be Sun//Eater! When you really look at it, sure they vocals can be scary to some people but most of these vocalists are super nice people! I love all the instruments that are used in these songs! Everything is beautifully done! You may enjoy just enjoy the song I recommended! Take care🤘
That was quite a fascinating Reaction. Hopefully I can assist with a few things as you are completely new to Extreme Metal as you mentioned. Lorna Shore specifically are a group of very talented and ever-evolving musicians. However, the vocalist, Will Ramos, is so far beyond talented he exists in his own universe. While some may not fully understand the analogy, Ramos, in his genre, is demonstrating a level of mastery of his craft akin to Luciano Pavarotti's Grand Concert. As others have mentioned, you should really check out the One Take Vocal video of this song and it becomes even more mindblowing when you realize there are no filters or layering effects to enhance his voice for that video, and it sounds even MORE amazing. And he is just starting his career. Also, it's best to approach these bands as you would when watching a well-crafted film. Anthony Hopkins has played a serial killer in three separate films, but he is not said serial killer, he is just a damn good entertainer; see Metal in this light and it can be much more attainable. Not sure how you got thrown into the deep water with this song, lol, it's quite advanced in the Deathcore genre and normally people will slowly work themselves up to the more extreme bands later. But you went for it, treading in that deep dark ocean with the sharks, and survived. So...welcome to Deathcore, it is a fascinating place to be.
This was hands down the most beautiful comment explaining the genre. I tip my hat to you for this well thought out and intelligent explanation. Seriously that was incredible.
This so heartwarming on one side. Music is a terrifyingly beautiful thing. I reccomend looking up the lyrics of the song, gets you a better understanding of it and takes the "brutality" a little bit out of it when you start understanding the meaning of the words
So you're very empathic. Understand that this song is about a person's death and descent to hell. I believe it's largely metaphorical, given the album that this is from. There's two other songs. Of The Abyss and And I Return To Nothingness, the name of the album. They're worth listening to in that order and reading the lyrics to all three will give you a very clear picture of the concept. It's beautiful and dark and I feel you'd get the most out of it that way. Just an opinion.
Baby, your reaction to the beauty of the POWER of vocals is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. it's exactly like when I first heard the voice of Maestro Luciano Pavorati.... like hearing the Voice of GOD and the Devil... stirring, raw, beautiful, terrifying..and the feeling of witnessing a soul it its purest form and not as a body.
Wish we could get a follow up video of what you thought/felt of the song(after emotions settled)Intensity and drive is a real emotion. That’s what I feel when I listen to this music.
Much love and respect for reacting to this song because like alot of other commenters said, if you're not used to deathcore or death metal/nu black metal, it's overwhelming as hell, no pun intended. Your reaction was very entertaining and I think I wanna stick around for more. Can I make a suggestion you listen to more lorna shore in future? For example of the abyss and beautifully done, like this one but a bit more melodic.
Thank you for staying to the end... its ok if you dont know what to say... its a lot to take in and even for veteran metal head. The best advice here is to hear it a few more times, look at the lyrics and get familiar with it... it will help your soul ;)

Lyrics
I'll hold onto feeling until my final breath escapes
Gazing upon this world until it fades
Fall with me into the other night
We can go beyond the horizon again
Fall with me until we're out of time
Let the current swallow
These whispers keep clawing
Your mind is dissolving light
Sink while you bathe in hallucination
Accept this descent into the night, releasing your grasp to
Induce separation, plunged into the shadows
Lost in sensation, we're free-falling down into the ever black
Can you feel it? These pins and needles
Trapped in sensation, see what you have found here
You fell into the dark
Fell into the dark
Release your grip and face the tide, accepting this damnation
Relinquish flesh temptation of the body and soul
The ebb and the flow, nothing confessed
Put me to rest
Azrael, guiding me beyond the veil
Obitual, free me from this mortal shell
Enter into the darkest night, I will sink where I lie
Through the sands of time, through the angel's eye
My final breath
Swallowed by the womb of death
Swallowed by the womb of death
Whispers are clawing
Your mind is dissolving light
Enter the void and fall with me, with me, with me
And fall with me, with me
Enter the void, fall
Release your grip and face the tide accepting this damnation
Relinquish flesh temptation of the body and soul
The ebb and the flow, nothing confessed
Put me to rest
Azrael, guiding me beyond the veil
Obitual, free me from this mortal shell
Enter into the darkest night, I will sink where I lie
Through the sands of time, through the angel's eye
My final breath
Swallowed by the womb of death
Swallowed by the womb of death
Swallowed by the womb of death
Sink while you bathe in hallucination
My final breath
Swallowed by the womb of death
As you pass through the fucking gate
Descending towards the end faster
I get emotional when I hear this song to, the sound screams, and overall feel of the song basically embodies how my depression feels
What song is your First most powerfull experience??
Most powerful "spiritual" experience so far would be Darkher - "Lowly Weep"
As of 2 days ago the most powerful overall has been Lorna Shore - "Into the Earth", such an intense ride!
@@Sleeping_Dreamer interesting ! Thank you for your answer ill tcheck them out 🥰
@@BellahMel07 Your welcome, let me know your thoughts if you end up enjoying them. 😊
I’ve been listening to Metal for about 20 years now, but when I heard this song for the first time I had the same reaction that you did. By far one of the most intense songs ever written. I just subscribed to the channel, and thank you for sharing your reaction with us. Cheers 🤘😊🤘
Thank you 😊
I'd say that the beauty of metal is hidden behind the intensity.. it's what makes it amazing.
This was a really tough one!! You handled this with grace! Definitely better than me! Thank you Empress!! Stay well ❤️👍🏻👍🏻😄!
Lorna shore just shows how beautiful metal can be
I love this reaction. Thank you for your vulnerability. This was beautiful
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
This is an amazing reaction and this subgenre of metal in particular is definitely the last jumping off point for non metal fans that I'd expect to begin with.
Omg, best reaction ever! I had tears in my eyes too!
❤️❤️
Actually he's using a fry scream technique all the time, but it still comes to one thing.... demon vocals
I could have came up with this on my frying pan….. this isn’t art isn’t music…. You are lost
Seriously this is nonsense… anyone with a mixer could do this … not music… certainly not art …. Fo away
@@aroemaliuged4776 just wondering if you've ever actually made music? Tried to play something live? Easy for keyboard warriors to say things like this but just goes to show you don't just have no appreciation for the music, you haven't any idea either 🤷
you just watched one of the most powerful form of music and that you are also one of us that can feel music in a certain way. Lorna Shore are beautifully talented!
Can only imagine how an infant annihilator reaction would go for her, especially the blasphemian music video. Best reaction I've seen so far
She's not ready for Infant Annihilator 😂
Can you feel the PAIN of this World, in thought this song ? finally a second way to see this song to (or to listen a dying man talking to the Death).
Obviously you were a little in shock , this "to the hellfire" make feel that, that's a normal "human" reaction between Will Ramos voice (from hell like a beast), the Lyrics & this amazing instrumental.
Thx a lots to react about this powerful song...
We salute you from France Dear & keep safe !!!
This is extremely pure and deserves more views
You have one of the most interesting and deepest first-listen reactions to this song that I've seen.
Beyond the visceral reaction to the harshness of the sound and the music, you seem to have felt the underlying emotion of the song and that's a rare thing indeed.
Welcome to talented musicians! 🤘We’re glad you’re here. 🤘🤘🤘
I saw them tonight live. My ears are still ringing and I can’t hear. I played smash bros with the bassist and I got a pic with the drummer. Talked to the guitarist for a bit. They’re very chill guys.
I think this is the most beautiful video the internet has ever gifted me. It's one of the best examples I've ever seen of what it means to be human ❤
Well done for sticking with it.
Awesome seeing you back Empress - after that ill send a huge hug, looks like you need it 🙂 gorgeous as ever 🌹🌹❤❤🌹🌹
This must be the most honest reaction i have ever seen.
If u know, and expirienced the Darkness. The Darkness will always come upon u at any time. And it will break u off!
I love her reaction, she is so beautifuly human. Love u girl!!!
Thank you 🤩
They kinda threw you into the deep end with this one, but it's a song that you eventually grow to love after you listen to it a few times.
Genuine reaction. Mad respect since not understanding the lyrics and its about one of the greatest human fears.
Will: “don’t cry I’m sorry empress i will hugs you” 🥺
Empress: *crying and hug*
Wut
Empress welcome back....I knew you wouldnt give up that easy
Thank you Frikster…
Its ok the music is amazing. I love Lorna Shore with Will Ramos.
You felt it. This is a good thing.
So happy to see you Empress!!
Thank you 🙏
this was one of the best reactions to this song i’ve ever seen! Will Ramos (the vocalist) definitely needs to see this!
Thank you 😊
I have nothing but respect for you. This isnt an easy listen for the untrained ear, and you gave it a shot. The emotional reaction you have shows how receptive you are to the unknown. I applaud you.
Best reaction I have ever seen
Thank you Marcus
You picked one of if not the heaviest songs in 2021 you handled it like a champ! You stuck it out even being scared this was a genuine reaction and you got a follower out of me for not cutting it off once that fear hit. Mad props
I love Lorna shore!!!!!! One of the best bands ever!!
I loved your Genuine Reaction I love how you’re going down new rabbit holes and listening to all types of music this was my favorite reaction of the song so far “ever”. Will is a great guy a nice guy. And one of the happiest ppl you see interviewed. Please keep up what you’re doing I’ve been binging your videos and loving each one. you found yourself a new subscriber . Much love from the Navajo nation 🤘🏽♥️✌🏽
I absolutely love this song 💯🌪️ definitely feel all the pain
Glad to see you Empress. Your smile is infectious. Sorry this video DIDNT get blocked...completely
Thank you 😊
You amazing girl.
Bless you sister.
you are a awesome woman to try this band. its not just something to listen to mad respect you've tried this. :)
Best reaction ever, just the look on your face the whole time made me smile😂
Thanks for keeping up your channel. It is an absolute pleasure no matter what you chose to react to. Could listen to you describing the weather and be fascinated by it
Thank you dear… I sincerely appreciate your support
@@EMPRESSJOYJEAN will always support you, with likes and views what not. Just keep on doing what you're doing :) we appreciate you very much
Your reaction just made me laugh harder than I've laughed in a long time. Fyi... he trained himself how to sing like that in the shower.
best reaction so far!
Thank you for this reaction)
Not gonna lie, when this song dropped I was overcame with emotion as well. Its just amazing!
You know what is funny...Wil is such a cool guy!!!!
Your tears are shared. This genre of music...its part comedy, part absolute glory. All emotion.. and the fact that no one can reproduce it. Including the instruments.
Always love to see people unfamiliar with extreme metal reacting to this song.
Heyyyyy, great to see you! Thanks for sticking around.
❤️
They have some incredible songs.
I stream tears straight faced as well , Beautiful
What surprises me the most is that someone recommended this as your first metal song.
This is a RAW thing to listen to. You don't have to put yourself through it if you don't feel comfortable with it or are not enjoying it.
There's a place and a time for everything, so no worries🙂
Most of us who listen to stuff like this had to get accustomed to it (as you said).
If you actually feel like it, go for easy to digest progressive music with little to NO growling, and proceed from there.
Tool, Haken, Leprous, are all good choices.
I'm so glad you are back, I missed you!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you Mark 😊
@@EMPRESSJOYJEAN , you’re very welcome but I need to thank you for because I love seeing your beautiful smile !
Sis was NOT ready for this.... But you reacted properly. Don't worry. Nobody is ready for it.
THE BEST REACTION EVER!!!
10/10 reaction!!! This is so genuine! You my dear have a new subscriber
Thank you Mr. Morning Star ⭐️ I like your name by the way 😁
The cool thing about Will Ramos is he sounds like an actual demon in those songs, but is the sweetest dude in reality
You did good for being introduced to the music you were challenged with. I like will ramos being a part of lorna shore
yeee malah nangis dengernya, happy² aja lah kaakaaa 😅 btw nice reactions
Gosh, I wish I could go back and see and hear this for the first time again.
@@rochastyle7235 ~ Thank you kindly.
Idk if you read the lyrics, but they are very dark and depressing but poetic. Love this band
Amazing reaction from a sister ! I absolutely love black metal once in a while when I feel angry, great way to release tension !
This is the most pure reaction on RUclips
It's ok. You don't have to explain it. Just feel it! 🤘
Glad to see you had tears of joy listening to this song as well
Baby, your reaction to the beauty of the POWER of vocals is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. it's exactly like when I first heard the voice of Maestro Luciano Pavorati.... like hearing the Voice of GOD and the Devil... stirring, raw, beautiful, terrifying..and the feeling of witnessing a soul it its purest form and not as a body.
I have been a metalfan since the 80's but this track gave me the same visceral reaction. It is like straight from hell.
Thank you for staying to the end... its ok if you dont know what to say... its a lot to take in and even for veteran metal head. The best advice here is to hear it a few more times, look at the lyrics and get familiar with it... it will help your soul ;)
I have cancer and when it’s my time to dip out which will be soon it’s will be to the hellfire or of the abyss that i fall asleep to. Can’t wait!
here mouth wide open ! Almost painful !
I hope you have no nightmares !Lol
Gods Blessings !
So scary 😧
I've always equated extreme music to riding Rollercoasters.. and this is one of the craziest rollercoasters ever made. ❤
