- Finally watched John Wick Chapter 2 and, like the first one, this movie did not disappoint! As usual, I have a lot to say at the end, and I still never got around to talking about the director and the rest of the crew! Good thing there's two more John Wicks to watch after this :)
If you are interested in further supporting my channel or watching the full version of this reaction (must own/rent a copy of the film to sync up with me), please feel free to check out my Patreon:

"I like how no one is helping in the back." it's a national sport in NYC to mind your own business. lol great reaction
You mean a local sport, but okay. 😋 🍕🐀
If you are wondering: John killed 77 people on screen in the first movie and 128 in the second
omg
& 439 across all 4 films
Nobody cares..
@@VictorLugosi odd of you to comment that you're a nobody and you care??
John is an over achiever...i mean, if you aren't trying to break your own personal kill record, then you're not really giving it your best effort...know what I mean?
That goes for grades and pretty much everything in life, not just killing people
To see Peter Stormare as a good guy, see "Armageddon." I first noticed him in another movie he did with Keanu, which was "Constantine." He stole the scene when he was on screen.
The fact that Cassian was only going after John to avenge his ward is why John didn't just kill him outright on the subway. He understood that Cassian wasn't after him personally or for the seven million, but as a consequence of Giana D'antonio's death.
"Cat's done a lot of damage and killed a lot of people" lmao. Sounds about right. Great reaction!
If you only knew. My cat Loki is aptly named, after all.
You're very entertaining. I like how you put so much effort into your videos.
Oh my gosh thank you so, SO much!! I really appreciate ya🤗
I know right! Love that she rewatches it and does research then comeback later to film the outro.
*ooh, thats nice!* donation cmts highlighted. like it. _JC
*of course, disadvantaging the poorest among us in the service of capital.* but in the service of supporting creators: i like it. _JC
@@JCResDoc94I really don't know what you mean. Was that supporting, or sarcasm?
I donate to both "the needy poor" and the content creators I like (in this case because they have good content and such beautiful eyes.)
Do you think I should be doing things differently? If so, why?
your end of the movie reactions is why I subbed. absolutely enjoy hearing your thoughts and comments at the end!
I always love your "Hi ya! How ya goin'?" opening.
Kudos to the stunt people who get shot so convincingly.
I can't believe I didn't realize John had committed the unpardonable sin of interrupting a meal. I can't look at him the same anymore.
Homing pigeons - they fly back to whoever they grew up, used extensively up to and including WWI, when telephone message couldn't be relied upon on the battlefield - strap a message to their feet, and you can send a message, undetectably, anywhere you want - there are even championships in Northern England today, for the best/fastest homing pigeons...
There is 2 ways you can see John didn't respect Ruby's character, one, he stabbed her the exact same way as he stabbed Cassian but he pulled the knife out. And 2. In the first movie, before Viggo died, he said "Be seeing you John", in which John replied "Be seeing you" as well, when Ruby said it, John just said "Sure". That 'be seeing you" is their way of showing respect to one another
The John Wick movies highlight the stunt work and choreography of action scenes primarily, they are made by a crew that just wants to present these aspects in the coolest ways they could and it is never pretended that they wanted it to be much more than that. They added just enough story to have the glue to tie everthing toghether without only copying a plot that was already done by others. It's over the top and by no means aiming to be taken too seriously. They are basically making one statement, which is "Need a couple of examples how to make shootouts and close quarter combat look really bada$$? Here You go!" So happy you can enjoy them for what they are, love your reactions and your methodical analysis' at the end.
Incredible outro, again!!
your reactions are really cool and entertaining to watch. and the in depth talk at the ends of your videos are not a small part of your quality as an reactor. thank you and enjoy every movie you watch.
I appreciate that!😊
It's more than just a reaction. She does her homework, and then some.
I concur
Incase you didn't run across it the birds are homing pigeons. The have long been used to carry messages that you don't want going through the post office, before there was a post office.
Keep it up!
In the art gallery where he started with 7 rounds. He didn't run out of bullets because he was constantly grabbing clips or stripping loaded guns from fallen opponents.
The John Wick movies are full of homages to many other action movies, TV shows and games. I think that love of the action genre which motivated the filmmakers to add those little touches is also what motivated them to make the action as top notch as they could.
I believe you will enjoy 3 and 4. This is a very satisfying series.
I have never seen someone laugh so much during this movie. I truly never knew it was funny.
The birds are carrier pigeons. They are an ancient form of long-distance communication that are very difficult to trace using modern methods and technology. A low-tech version of the modern telephone and internet network.
15:00That line from Winston tho "You stabbed the devil in the back and forced him back into the life that he had just left." In front of a statue of Kali on top of that god I LOVE IT! Kali is a Hindu god often associated with death ad violence, but i believe in that scene there is a double meaning as he was just freed from his marker. Some Hindu sects believe that Kali also gives "moksha" (liberation).
“Done a lot of things, killed a lot of people”…
That could have referenced a cat… JS 🤣🤣🤣
That Charon backstory is coming in the Peacock prequel miniseries premiering September 22.
Excellent all round reaction Whimsory, especially your outro ... Have you or do you study media ? You have a natural and engaging personality, keep doing what you're doing ... Any chance of a video about all your hats 😃 I've almost lost count of how many you've used ☺
I love how the cat in the background is living her life while Whimsory is doing her review on John WICK!😁
It truly is her world, I'm just living in it. ☺️
@@Whimsory 😁
@@Whimsorygood true words
Heavily hinted that Winston has a real close relationship with John. He's the only one who calls him Johnathan. The other one got shot in the face when he did it.
We can also see how much it hurt Winston while calling in the Excommunicado, because rules.
Our boy is clearly slowing down. That was only two men in a bar with a pencil.
Well he's had a rough week
Another of the few sequels that not only draws on the first film, but surpasses it.
And they keep this up, too.
(You have amazingly beautiful eyes. I just have to say that in every comment now. It's "just a thing.")
I LOOOOOOOVE your reactions!!
I'm sooo much looking forward to watch your reactions to 3 and 4.
Much Love to You and Ukraine
💙💛💙🌻🌻🌻
This is me watching Whimsory -- 😍😍😍😍😍😍. She’s so adorable.
08:35 the librarian, tailor and "sommelier" scene is my favourite part from JW2
great reaction as always Whimsory!! 😘
You’re right, it definitely needed more Aurelio.
As I saw rewatch from another youtuber from the movie Punsher Warzone I thought I MUST buy this movie for my action collection.
Now I think the same about John Wick. Thank you Whimsory. I write it on my bucket list
For a moment I thought you're cat was a mass murderer 😂😂 another hilarious whimsory one liner 😂😂
I recommended your channel to friends. You are precise and insightful. (You take notes)! And on at least one occasion, you mentioned that you were going to watch the movie again before your closing comments. Very thorough.
I also noticed that you notice all aspects of film making, including reference to the music being one of the characters.
Are you taking filmmaking classes?
Thanks for sharing!!☺️
Both Morpheus and Neo from The Matrix reunited! 😃
I think the reason Santino was running his mouth so much in the 'mirror' exhibit was he was trying to get John to talk & give away his location, since it was so confusing in that room, & it seems to have worked.
If Cassian was so set on avenging his ward's death, why kill the messenger? John had no choice! Why didn't Cassian team up w John against Santino? Of course, it's because he didn't want to pit himself against a member of the High Table. Okay, so just back off, don't help kill Santino, but leave John alone! Cassian may have been skilled & loyal, but he was a selfish little man, a 'useful idiot' for the High Table.
i love that you used the words petulant booger so close together. Like a kid just learned this word and added booger to describe someone they didn't like. Very silly and i love it for that. Also i loved seeing your cat in the background when the show wasn't in the way.
Great insights on this film! The John Wick series is a love letter to action movies and stunts. They go out of their way to craft interesting and create stunts, which I really appreciate. Continue on to the third movie to see Charon get in on the action scenes.
You've got the best hair on RUclips I think! Good reaction to a great movie 3&4 are fun to!
These movies are just a mix of awesome action and explanation of the by-laws of the high table. And each movie gets better and weirder. However, contrary to your statements, John has done nothing wrong. The last time John slept he did so with a clean conscious.
Hi Miss Whimsory🙂, John Wick is on fire!🔥Yeah, that bad guy put somebody in a wood chipper before. We don't trust him! ALL the John Wick films are GREAT! Super job with this film full of great action and fight choreography, Miss Whimsory!!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
John's impossible task has already been described briefly in the 1st movie. He killed all of Viggo's competitors, cementing Viggo as New York's #1 crime boss.
i think John's first dog had more screen time than his 2nd so far. (Haven't seen JW4 yet).
John has to kill the sister himself or the marker remains unfulfilled and the debt remains unpaid.
Yes, asparagus doesn't count.
Why am I smiling the whole time you are laying down your analysis? 🤔 ... I guess you are really entertaining and was on point with your commentaries. 😊
I like your format. You capture the initial reaction without talking so much it takes away from what you're watching, and your outtro is where you share your thoughts after watching it to your heart's content. (I'm the same way... rewatch most movies several times to make sure I get as many answers to my questions and catch as many Easter eggs as possible. (I don't catch things all the time in one go. 😅)
Will be tuning in for 3 & 4. 😊
Whimsory I always enjoy your outros, entertaining and thoughtful "eating ketchup by itself" lol. Keep up the good work and I can't wait until you do JW3.
Thank you!😊
I know right? in the name of Aurelio, what kind of freak eats ketchup by itself?!? 😳
In the John Wick universe cops only respond to house fires 😂
You really raise the bar for reaction channels for me :)
Common has been in quite a few movies and one of his best portrayals is in a series with Anson Mount, Hell on Wheels, based on a true historical story. Definitely worth a watch.
Love your reactions. You're the only reactor I watch even if I don't care for the movie your reviewing.
Keep doing what you do.
I second this. He's great in Hell on Wheels, for sure it's worth a watch even if it's not for the channel.
13:24 “It keeps going!” Just wait until you get towards the end of John Wick 4….it’s a rolling down stairmageddon! You ain’t seen nothing yet on that score Whimsory!
Peter Stormare as Russian mobster Abram Tarasov was kind of funny to me, as Peter is Swedish, and he also played a whacky Russian astronaut named Lev Andropov in the Bruce Willis movie "Armageddon". He was great playing a Russian in both films!
always a good day when i see a new Whimsory post
I like how they make John as supernatural as thr mythical Babayaga. He lurks in the shadows, only lets you see him when he wants you to, when the big goon at the beggining is shot in the knees, the yells and growls sound like the monster stories are told of him by survivors.
I've never quite understood why the High Table and Caspian hold John Wick responsible for the death of Gianna D'Antonio. If the High Table is an international organization, all knowing, all seeing, how can they not know that D'Antonio arranged the killing of his own sister so he could inherit her seat? John Wick was just the tool, unwillingly forced to do it.
It would seem like the High Table would hold Santino D'Antonio responsible for killing a seat holder. John Wick followed the rules. He honored the Marker. Santino putting a contract out on John Wick for killing his sister Gianna seems all the more wrong.
Excellent movie with Common you should watch even if it’s not on a list. “Smokin’ Aces” 2006. Amazing cast and the scene editing is brilliant.
one thing that should be noted
is even if he did not kill him in the hotel
the high table would have gone after him
because he killed has sister who was a member of the
high table
I really love your reactions, keep up the great work.
1:45 "I know that actor. I know he's going to be bad."
I assume by "bad" you mean "a villain".
Because Peter Stormare is a pretty good actor.
Also, he played a good guy in Armageddon so even though he's usually a villain, sometimes he's a hero instead.
You need to see 3 and 4, it's one of the rare times the films get better as they go out.
What's the most preposterous is that apparently half of the population seem to be undercover assassins xD
It's like watching a real life video game.
I’m pretty sure they have a prequel series about the continental in the works. I believe the rumor is that there is also gonna be a spin-off film with Ana de armas titled “ballerina”
"SOMEBODY PLS... needs to watch The Matrix."
I get a real kick out of your reactions, but I stay for the top tier analysis afterwards.
I hope you get to the 3rd movie.
Also, you're pretty awesome. I like the effort you put into these reaction vids. I've been into these types of videos for a few years now, but I appreciate your insight and effort.
There is a prequel series coming called The Continental. We will get young Winston & Charon in it. So you should get some of that backstory. I cant remember which network/streaming service is carrying it, but it will be sometime soon. They just released a trailer for it last week.
awesome video as always!
12:04 comment... Actually by doing that to herself the water might slow the flow by applying pressure that is why he raised it to help it flow, his contract does not count if she suicides, but she could cut but not the right place so if he left, she could recover.. So I think she was tricking him as she tried to off center him by saying what would she-his wife-think.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Whimsory, you are the best at this....and sooo cute! Why am I getting your reactions so late?
Yeah I'm going to zombie this and say we need you to watch the other 2 now! Also if you haven't heard there is a spinoff show called "The Continental" on Peacock I think, that goes into the backstory of the NY branch and the employees etc.
Another Peter Stormare fan! You have excellent taste not to mention a scene-stealing cat. If you would like to see Peter in a "not villainous" role, in fact in a comedy role, I'd recommend "Swedish Dicks". Before you google that (I wouldn't recommend that, by the way), it was a comedy series running for two seasons (2016-18), with Peter as Private Investigator. It also had a recurring cameo from a certain well-known action star, who coincidentally was also in this very movie you reacted to.
Another great reaction Whimsory, I've seen this movie a few times and never spotted that blood spatter hit us the viewer, really cool. The birds are homing pigeons, you can take them miles away from home and they will find their way back, it's one of the safest ways to send messages... as long as they don't encounter any serial killer cats along the way 🙄😄
Great reaction. Common looks so cool in this movie.
You're going to love the rest of them
You don't eat ketchup by itself, and you also don't eat ketchup on a chili dog. EVER! :)
10:50 "Why that way, though?" Objectively speaking what she did is the 2nd most peaceful way to go. The cuts are barely felt with a properly sharp instrument, and the hot bath keeps you from feeling much more than just becoming very sleepy. Only freezing is less painful with similar symptoms of peaceful sleep and then the darkness. There are more painless ways to go, but they can only be done to you not by you.
You'll get more Charon if you keep watching. And there is going to be a prequel TV show set at The Continental set in the 70s, and the trailer looks to include a young Winston and Charon. So you'll get your wish.
When John went after Santino he emptied his new single clip with seven rounds in a few seconds then he began taking the guns of the guys he shot. The spirit of the cow compelled John to interrupt Santino's meal. Kidding, I'm vegan since 1973.
He only had 7 bullets, he was out of ammo after about 2 seconds lol.
Common getting some flowers is great ❤
Happy to see another upload! I hope you are well. :)
Thanks! You too!
@@Whimsory Oh hi! I'm a relatively new subscriber. Left some movie suggestions on your last video, though I'm sure you have your own list lined up. I'm happy you watched this one as well. :)
I don't care about John Wick after the first excellent film, like the rest just blend together and forgotten, but I love your reactions so much, it's hard not watch.
Good movie! Great reaction! Thank you Whimsory!
Great job whim ,, your reactions are awesome I love your face so expressions, You're very smart. An interesting person.. I hope you stick with it, You could eventually be a top reactor✌️
I’ve never seen a movie featuring a room full of mirrors that is realistic in the least. But they’re all good. (Thinking about Enter the Dragon (Bruce Lee), among others).
Hi whimsory hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Another great video! Look forward to seeing your review on the sequels. I hope you get to do Robocop (1987) one day. You're post watch reviews are really good.
You need to watch John wick 3, that one is good too, great job on this video.
Sad to see that Mustang get wrecked. A friend of mine in High School had a black '66 Mustang Fastback. We would go cruising for girls in that. He would drive like a maniac at times. We were lucky we didn't end up wrapped around a tree.
In this one, his body count was 128! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤
Hello Ms Whim , Jolly good Video thank you 💐
💯⚘️
You're very good and entertaining, great editing. 😊
What remix was that at the very end?
Another great reaction, Why waste good food on a waste of skin?......more suggestions: ...."Next of kin" (Patrick Swayze)....."The Family" (Robert DeNiro)......"Italian job" (Mark
Wahlberg)......"Air force one" ( Harrison Ford).........."No Escape" (Owen Wilson)....
Look at you recommending Fargo now... How far you've come
Santino: Duck fat.
John: Fuck that. (Shoots him)
Winston: What have you done??"
John: Just made my 3rd movie!
New follower enjoyed your video.
The birds are homing pigeons, he uses them because they can't be traced, or tracked by modern technology...
Can’t wait for u to watch part 3
What do you mean always let him go? John has never done anything against Winston. They're friends. And John had always obeyed the rules of the Continental except for killing Santino. John just couldn't let it go. So Winston could have had him killed right there but he gave John a fighting chance which was the honorable thing. But there were rules for conducting business on Continental grounds that could not be overlooked.
There's depth to the story which is why these movies are so nice even though the premise is simple.
