Simple thing that makes this movie one of the best action movie of the last 20 years...John Wick reload his gun which is rare in action movies, take damage and has limited resources. And the choregraphy are glorious ! I also love just the fact you says his name, people knows what he is about !
@M Mor The Raid has almost 0 gunfights. Yes the fight choreography is way better but that's all those movies have. Do not compare those movies to John Wick.
Frances lived because he gave John Wick information, when he said he lost 26 kilos he was telling John Wick there was 26 guys inside waiting for him. For that information. He gets to live. Same with the girl on the hotel room floor, Wick says "Give me something" & she knows, give up something or die. She gives up Vigo's Church storage vault.
John Wick does not kill the innocent/uninvolved. He holds off shooting when an innocent is in the way, like that girl Iosef used as a human shield. I believe there was some backstory between John and Francis too.
from a 2021 vulture interview with Lance Reddick: "How has your friendship changed after four movies? We’ve gotten to know each other a little better. I hope I don’t get in trouble for telling this story: During John Wick: Chapter Four, my first day of filming happened to be Keanu’s birthday. But he wasn’t in the scene. He came to the set anyway at nine o’clock at night with his girlfriend who I had never met. And she is … can I say a bad word? Go for it. His girlfriend is cool as fuck. And she told me that she asked Keanu what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said, “I want to go see Lance.” He’d never done this before but he wrote me a note thanking me for what I brought to the character in these movies. And he wanted to give the note to me. I’ll never forget it. I’m going to cry now." RIP. elevated everything he appeared in and brought a natural gravitas to each character he portrayed.

two of the best movie lines ever in this one: "That fucking nobody, is John Wick!" "John will come for you, and you will do nothing, because you can do nothing. So get the fuck out of my sight!"
An ancient order called Assa-sins used to accept only gold as payment for their services such as espionage, murder, or counter-intelligence. It adds to the believability of the movie since there is precedence in real history. Some even argue that this is the origin of the Beggars Guild in China's past as well as the Ninja of Japan.
Still one of my favourite character 'introductions' of all time is when Aurelio is on the phone with Viggo and telling him why he hit his punk ass son, Viggo's response of "Oh." is so absolutely loaded, you realize right then before literally anything else, this was a catastrophic fuck up.
I think it's the way the atmosphere changes. You feel like Viggo is going to do something to Aurelio and make him sorry for punching his son. And the minute he explains that the puck stole John Wick's car after killing his dog, the atmosphere completely changes. Viggo went from being in control to completely dropping his strength.
I don’t think the dog was in the car at the airport. He was more than likely hanging out in the hanger that John drove out of. I believe the reason Marcus took the contract is cause he found out that the contract wasn’t exclusive so it gave him a way to keep an eye on John for protection. I love the attention to detail they did in this movie. John fires 15 rounds from his pistol and reloads every 15 shots. Not like a lot of movies that they have unlimited bullets in the guns. Nash was telling John how many bad people were in the club in a code.
"People keep asking me if I'm back, and I haven't really got an answer. But now yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back!!!! So you either hand over your son, OR YOU CAN DIE SCREAMIN' ALONGSIDE HIM!!!!!!!" - John Wick aka BABA YAGA
Great movie. IMO, Viggo started all of this. As soon as Wick did the job and earned his way out, he (Viggo) should have told his son, "He obviously is a bad dude. Stay away from John Wick". And show him a picture of Wick so he knew. But the son didn't know who he was. That was Viggo's responsibility to share son knowledge with his son. Yes, Iosef was a fool. But purely he was because of Viggo's incompetence. (IMO) Great Post, Ladies. And thank you for sharing it with us.
To be fair, what are the odds of them crossing paths at any point? And all he had to do was not act like a complete dickhead. He's a mob boss's son. If he liked the car, I'm sure he could have gotten one just like it. There's a reason Viggo punched him in the stomach after learning what he did.
I'm excited that this crew is watching because it's john wick, don't need another reason, but also with the fourth movie coming out it's going to great to have a full couch reaction!
I like how Viggo's henchmen, the more experience, mature ones, looked so annoyed to be put up against John Wick because of Iosef's stupidity, like: "Boy you just significantly reduce our life expectancy for shit and giggle"
Yeah they more or less had a great future with a deeply secure empire by the smart leadership of Vigo. Honestly a few should have made the suggestion that his son is not worth the hell John would bring upon them. Even if the manage to kill him, the amount of dead men would be crazy.
Pointing out the bit about him confirming every kill with a headshot. John(with a gun at least) uses a style called the Mozambique; two shots to the chest(trying to hit one lung and the heart) and then a third to the head. It's an awesome detail they keep in almost every instance of him using pistols and even sometimes with a rifle.
You know, something I love about this movie is that... during this entire build up where scary people are learning about Iosef killing John Wick's dog... everybody is scared shitless... and they don't even know that the dog had anything to do with Helen except for the fact that he is still grieving her loss. How do you think the scene would've gone if Aurelio just laid Iosef out like that, got the call from Viggo, and told him that Iosef not only stole John Wick's car, and not only killed John Wick's dog... but that that dog represented John's hope for a peaceful life. And they took it - and they know what kind of a guy John Wick is, they know his professional skillset, they know he's the best, and they're scared because he's the best. But they should've been more scared of the man who had to bury hope twice in the same week. The movie sparked two sequels and there's a third sequel (part four) just around the corner, and we've been introduced to this wildly intriguing world, with the Continental, the High Table, the Bowery King, the Markers, open Contracts, the Coins, and everybody knows who John Wick is... and even that makes John Wick uncomfortable when he's "recognized" in public, because that's not who he wants to be. But it's a "job" so it makes him a highly-sought after assassin. How many of these people have ever seen John Wick make it PERSONAL? "I don't give a fuck about the guns, the gold coins, the dinner reservations, the secret societies that forbid business on Continental Grounds,, the high table, the professionalism, the women, the adrenaline, any of it. This guy killed my dead wife's dog. He's dead. There's no discussion."
As I caught the notification for this first time watch, I was reminded that it's been almost 10 years since the first film in the franchise, so it makes sense why new reactions keep popping up. And of course, R.I.P. Lance Reddick, who portrays Charon the Concierge. He passed just two days ago while on press tour for the fourth film coming soon to theaters. P.S.: The Mayhem guy from the Allstate insurance commercials adds some comic relief and Le Castle Vania became quite a popular EDM artist after his songs were featured in the soundtrack for this one.
I realize this is a month late, but here's some fun facts about Daisy: First of all, obviously you can't teach a dog to poop on command. So, the pile of poop was rendered with CGI. They spent about $5,000 rendering the perfect pile of puppy poop. Now _that_ is an expensive turd. Secondly, the actor who "killed" Daisy felt so awful about it (even though she was, of course, unharmed) that he spent the next hour petting Daisy, and ultimately adopted her.
Watching the John Wick movies in the cinema was an experience which not many people can understand. One of the best franchise, Amazing from start to finish with a brilliant cast, all actors are well known, and extremely talented. I am going to see John Wick 4 next week in IMAX ;D can't wait!!
I gotta be honest, Viggo was my favorite character in the series. It really sucked to hear the actor that played him died, he must have had so much fun with this part.
What I love about this movie is that is no one has heard of it and you explain his motivations from the start of the movie, no one understands or they think it's a gag. Then they watch the movie and immediately, everything that follows is justified.
In all the reactions I've watched to John Wick, why has no one mentioned how Viggo's son SMOKING AT A GAS STATION so perfectly illustrates how self-destructive his entitled view of life will be for the rest of the movie?
As someone who's gone through some troubling self thoughts, I can tell you exactly what John is doing with the car in the beginning. He's not getting his aggression out; he's testing to see if he still wants to live or not.
Fun fact when vigo poured him and his son a glass of vodka he poured the cheap stuff for 2 reasons one because what he was gonna do would put a bad taste in his mouth by hitting his son and when his son threw up it would burn on the way back up. Then he went for a different bottle of vodka, probably something he normally drinks
One of Viggo's son, Iosef's goons who "killed" Wick's puppy, Daisy cried after the scene. Then actor actually adopted the puppy after filming completed.
John Wick ain’t no joke!!! He was out the game and living a good life and then they came for him over his car, right after his wife died and she sent him a puppy as a piece of her. They literally woke up the beast!
I believe the "bad" Keanu movie Rana is talking about is Babes in Toyland and while not great I have a nostalgia love for it. Plus it has a great cast Keanu, Drew Barrymore, and the late great Pat Morita.
The whole Baba Yaga thing was likely a miscommunication somewhere in the production. Baba Yaga is indeed the old witch who lives in a mobile hut that walks around on giant chicken legs. Babayika (pronounced very similarly) is something very much similar to "the boogeyman".
Not a miscommunication. It’s analogous to the western concept of the Boogeyman, which takes children, (and which adults use to scare children into behaving.)
@@Parallax-3D AFAIK Babayka is, yes. Baba Yaga is a different folk tale and most often refers to an old woman or witch who lives in a hut that travels from place to place on giant chicken legs. Babayka pretty much LITERALLY translates to boogeyman so somewhere in the script writing process Babayka became Baba Yaga which only would have been amusing to Russian or Slavic people except for the fact that Baba Yaga was used heavily in early D&D as a boss monster. Both are pronounced very similarly in English so it's easy to see where the confusion came from.
Love your reaction to this. Such a well made movie. And yes, John always finishes a kill with a head shot. He is the consummate professional, he doesn't leave anyone wounded to get back up behind him. As for Perkins, I think he left her alive because she was an assassin like him. Her coming to kill him wasn't personal, it was just business. So he thought he could leave her alive and he would have Viggo dead before she could come after him again, so she wouldn't have a reason to try and kill him again. Besides that, he was leaving her for the Continental staff to deal with.
The underworld currency of John Wick is gold. It's what they call a hard asset, unlike paper which is essentially valueless. Each one of the gold coins is 1 oz of pure gold worth $1,850.
Great franchise choice! The fact that Rana and Navi hasn't even been spoiled about the too cute for this world dog is great. Also love that you all are splitting up the better and lesser parts of Normies (😂) for John Wick so we get the reactions twice. Movies deserve it!
I love ladies night, it was such a blast to watch the Queens of the Normies. What's also fitting is that I watched John Wick with my mom and we had a great time. Even the end discussion was similar to what my mom and I talked about.
Keanu trained for months with firearms, knives, etc. for these movies. He can actually make all of those shots you see on screen. The 2 shots body, one shot head, is actually military training for special forces to make sure your target is neutralized before you move on.
I love watching ladies react to all of the John Wick movies…but the first one is the best because they get sad his wife dies, happy he gets the puppy, angry the puppy dies, and then they cheer on all the destruction John causes as he tears through Viggo’s men to get to his son. 25:20 “He got in a car accident, call insurance.” That’s the best reaction line ever!!! 😂😂😂
given how the chapter 4 is a few days away from releasing, I would hope that Lance Reddick managed to get his scenes in the movie. 60 years old is still too young to die. May he rest in peace.

I believe the "bad" Keanu movie Rana is talking about is Babes in Toyland and while not great I have a nostalgia love for it. Plus it has a great cast Keanu, Drew Barrymore, and the late great Pat Morita.
Could've been Knock Knock. That one was terrible. It had bratty women, that maybe she equated to "babysitter"
he had made alot of bad movies
@@nirobu I thought she was talking about Knock Knock too but there weren’t any babysitters so that confused me lol.

The reaction at 10:40 was great 🤣
didn't age well. RIP
first time watching y'all and love the energy! Will be back for more for sure - keep it up
17:23 So anyway I started blasting.
RIP Lance Reddick.
9:36 also probably doesn’t want to fuck with him right now 😂
John Wick is basically what you get playing a video game with "God Mode" and auto-aim enabled.
I really enjoyed watching this reaction with just the ladies of the Normies 😂 hope y'all 3 watch all the sequels as well...
loved the reaction ladies! Looking forward to watching the next two parts with you.
I am SO glad you watched this. One of my favorite action movies of the 21st century, and the sequels are really good too.
Great job ladies on the reaction. Just a Great Movie...
The underworld currency of John Wick is gold. It's what they call a hard asset, unlike paper which is essentially valueless. Each one of the gold coins is 1 oz of pure gold worth $1,850.
10:48 Oh fuck that must have hit her hard. The paid him respect at the premiere of JW4 a couple of days ago. They all cried.
Marketa cracking up is the best part of this reaction 😂
Great franchise choice! The fact that Rana and Navi hasn't even been spoiled about the too cute for this world dog is great. Also love that you all are splitting up the better and lesser parts of Normies (😂) for John Wick so we get the reactions twice. Movies deserve it!
If you believe these reactors are really that clueless, there's a bridge I want to sell you
I love ladies night, it was such a blast to watch the Queens of the Normies.
Sorry for your loss, Kettie. RIP Daddy
14:18 is way too funny! You girls got to get out more often and have fun! LOL
12:38 Francis told him how many guards are in there.. funny way to tell him the way he did
Great reaction, ladies! Can’t wait for the other two!
I love the opening of the film, it proves you don’t need dialogue to know what’s going on, just visuals
Fun Fact: The actor who killed the puppy felt so bad doing that scene he's been playing with the puppy for hours
Naw we need a part 2 ASAP. This was by far my fav reaction!
given how the chapter 4 is a few days away from releasing, I would hope that Lance Reddick managed to get his scenes in the movie. 60 years old is still too young to die. May he rest in peace.
6:41 Still one of the best intros to a main character ever.
Notice how it almost sounds similar to how Keanu Reeves famously says the word, "Whoa" in his other films.
Rest in peace Lance Reddick. The vanguard will protect the last city in your stead.
Keanu Reeves is so wicked.
