Great Job! The kenwood cable method doesn't work, and the TID instructions were written in some Space Alien language. You solved it immediately. Thanks
Thanks! No problem using this method. Now to figure out the rest of the manual. Perhaps a series explaining the manual? That’d be helpful as I’m a visual learner…
Would be nice if it worked. Windows 10 doesn't recognize the radio when connecting to the USB cable. They say no driver is required but something is missing.
@m7frs272 Hello again. I found out from Tidradio the off indicates that the squelch tones are turned off. Hope this helps. Have a good day. Regards Andy
My hd3 has a receive delay when using repeaters if I key up on the local repeater and give my call sign then de key it takes a second to hear any thing back from the repeater any ideas
I've not experienced that, but I wonder if it's something to do with the tail squelch eliminator? Try turning it off if it's currently on. I'd send TidRadio a message as they are very helpful I have found. Thanks for watching 👍
Regardless of which download link I proceed to, I get a different software, I think it's CPS? I can't get the firmware download. Could anyone validate the download links?
@@brad4793 I figured out my problem. The Windows 11 extract of the .rar file was missing files. I downloaded WinRAR and it extracted properly, all updated to 5/30 firmware.
Just update my firmware for my TD-H3 now the screen is blank and nothing works. Second time this has happened. Love the radio but this is getting super annoying. Anyone else having this issue? I am using the TD-H3 cable that comes with the radio. Help please!
Great, it's the first time I see someone actually show you can update via USB!
Glad you found it useful, thanks for watching 👍
@@m7frs272 Thank you for sharing
Much clearer than the included instructions from TIDRadio and you confirmed the USC C port can be used. Upgraded mine just now w/o issue. Thanks!

Just installed the 240606 with your tutorial. I only had to wait a bit for Windows to install the drivers for the CH340 chip

Thanks for watching and glad you found it useful. I'll try and find time to maybe do a video manual.
@@m7frs272 Thanks for the consideration. I may not be the only visual learner following your channel…
I hope they promote community custom firmwares too.

How do i know to download Ham, GMRS or Unlocked?
On the bottom right of your radio display, it says off in blue upper case letters. What is that?
I've wondered that as well and I don't know the answer, sorry!

I have TD H3
FM radio reception is very poor, do you have a similar problem?
I haven't noticed an issue, but I am very close to a FM broadcast transmitter. Thanks for watching 👍
@BenM7FRS ... NOT USEFULL ... how can you do a firmware update and dont care about what the changes or inprovements are.
There are plenty of videos telling you the fixes this update has made.
You never told us what version you down loaded. I down loaded 2024-5-24 the other day, is there a newer one!!!
You can see the bin file in the video
That version must not be available in the US. The latest I can download is 2024-4-30. Thanks for the reply!
Does it require windows computer to update firmware?
I'm not sure if it can be done on other devices or not. It is best to drop TidRadio a message via their website. Thanks for watching 👍

i cant get this to work either, it only give me a tuneup download that does nothing for me

So whats the difference with these updates ?
Menu 56 added scan all bands you're thanos
If you have 53 instead if 56 menu items you haven't taken the red pill

I'd recommend dropping a message to TidRadio support via their website. They are quite helpful. Thanks for watching, and I hope you get it sorted 👍
