Love that you use FCPX still. I tried moving to Adobe. I already pay full price for CC cos of Illustrator and other stuff I use. So I get After Effects, Premiere Pro in the bundle... I just can't go away from FCPX, I love it too much 😂
In Photoshop, select the lower mountain range and create a transparent png with that. Put the full shot behind it in FCPX and lower both shots in the Y direction until neither are visible. Then animate the png up to where it belongs, followed by animating the full shot upwards to where it belongs. Any clip you have under these animations will now be replaced by the full shot, which completes the transition.
Very C o o L !!! QUESTION: How did you get away with NOT "Referencing NEW PARENT COMPOUND CLips" for all those Duplicated Compound CLips ? Without doing that, (theoretically) ALL 3 copies should have had ALL the adjustments/effects (you made on each one) on them, making them IDENTICAL
You are wrong about that. Copies of the compound clip inherit only changes made INSIDE the clip, not the ones made on the clip itself. You can add effects, transform, change speed, etc, nothing will be applied to copies, as long as you don’t do it inside the clip.
🙋♂Hey Ryan, on your Luma effects pack. The Luma Glow 8... how can we adjust that. The image gets to bright at the beginning. Thank you! Other than that the pack is 100% worth it
I bought your full creative suite advertised here. Your stuff is just that rad. Thanks for keeping these tutorials coming - it is so appreciated.

@@bamrainey Exactly. The only thing that's identical is what's inside the compound clip.
Ryan! Do you do any mentorships or consults for FCPX editing?
great tutorial - very creative; thanks for sharing your knowledge. can you explain why you create a compound clip at 0:34?
to maintain the stabilization, and not having the clip analyze again and doing the rest of the cuts, masking and... which would mess up the alignment
Bro for mac is there free version?
Awesome video as always! Does the smooth zoom effect at the ende come with fcpx? Or where can I get it? Thanks.
