    I've had one for years. Well it was my dads originally, but i learned how to play pool on a olhausen ( not gonna try to spell it might) it helps so much learning on one of these. When you go to the local bar and play people on those tables you already have an advantage against them once you figure out the speed of the bar table. My table is 9ft. I learned on 9ft Table. The bar tables are 6ft, no shot looks far away at all lol. Everything looks like pot shots on those tables when you're use to a 9ft professional table with tight pockets

      Lol, yes you are absolutely right! Going from a 9ft table down to a 6ft is like playing in minature. Going the other way is a little tougher 👍

    I just picked up a spring frild 8 foot version. Must say that the deeper shelf makes pocketing balls with any spin and not ideal speed, it will always rattle / spit em back out. The net pockets i hate, and trying to.find something better, but it hasmt been easy to find some that would be flush. Overall even though table can be challenging, love the Olhausen purchase, and for sure helps with speed and power control

    Congrats with the table. Looks great. I always read that the olhausen tables pockets play funny (rattle). Maybe in a few month you can give a updated review on how the table plays and how its holding up.

    Nice to see a video showing the TDF. Hopefully Olhausen adjusted all the tables to 140 +/- a degree.

      Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video, and like the inclusion of the TDF. We thought it was useful information and something we would want to know, so we went ahead and included it alongside all of the other specs. Thanks again!

    Hello! Sir will you do a review on MDF pool tables for those of us that do not have the space for a slate table please.

    • @AverageJoesPool
      @AverageJoesPool  6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately that's not something we would cover. The size of the table is not really dictated by whether it is slate or not. You can get smaller slate tables. Likewise you can get larger wood tables. But slate is really the only option if you're serious about your game. Sorry about that. 👍

    Greetings Sir, would you kindly do a review for those of us that have a love for the game but don't have the space. would a 6 foot table be alright for us to purchase? and get us started.

    • @AverageJoesPool
      @AverageJoesPool  7 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely, you must match your table to your available room space. It's better to have a smaller table than no table at all! 6ft is a common table size in the UK. When calculating room size take the PLAYING SURFACE dimension of the table (the gap between cushions), completely ignore the overall table size, and add 58" in all directions from the edge of the playing surface (58" is the standard cue length). This gives the required room space for the table. Hope that helps!
