Pentatonix and Kelly LOVE each other. They were openers for her on tour in like... 2015?16? They have collabed and done stuff sometimes but not often. They have been on her show once for a skit song (Scott and Kelly even got nominated for an Emmy randomly for writing that, hahah) and they are actually gonna perform on her show soon... could it be tomorrow even? Don't quote me on that. Fun fact, they both have albums nominated for a grammy in the same category coming up, haha.

Kelly is a phenomenal vocalist and combined with PTX, it is simply perfection ❤️❤️❤️. They’re fans of each other, PTX opened for her in 2015-ish and are both nominated for a Grammy “against” each other in this cycle - I’ll be happy if either of them get it 🙌

I think it's great that Kelly took PTX on tour when they were getting started. Girl Named Tom were on Kelly's team on The Voice. PTX is now taking them on tour now that they are getting started. I don't know if that is paying it back, paying it forward, or going full circle. Whatever you call it, I think it's pretty cool.

I totally agree with you about Kelly. She IS a special gift and HAS a special gift! My daughter used to joke with me that I loved Kelly more than her after Kelly won Idol. And I’m just as big a fan of PTX. This is a collaboration from Heaven IMO!

PTX opened for Kelly years ago. She is a great vocalist. However, PTX owns Christmas.
PTX collaborates with so many. Check out "Jolene" with Dolly Parton. Grammy #3.
PTX is known for its wall of sound and the ability to "hug" the soloist. Plus how they layer.
"Hug" is the PERFECT word! It's amazing!
Mmmm Kelly has some great original classics, too: “Wrapped in Red”, “Underneath the tree” (an instant classic in many movies), and more.
AND PTX is just as great with their original Christmas music and covers. I love them both. It just bothers me when people say things like “but…” no buts needed. Both are great. Period. No need to elevate one over the other. Not trying to sound rude, but had to express this.
I think I have said this to you before but must say again. I have watched hundreds of reactions to music (mostly PTX). I have never identified with a reaction more than I do with yours. What you feel is what music does to my soul as well and it is always a thrill to know that there is someone who is moved to tears not just by words but the sounds as well. And with PTX, they always seem to show the emotion that they feel and put into their music and that gets me so emotional. Please don't stop doing what you do so beautifully.

Kelly's last album is a Christmas album and it is amazing. One of my absolute favorites off if the album is Santa can you hear me, an original I believe that she wrote and which she sings with Ariana Grande. It is epic. Kelly had a TV special to accompany her new album and they perform it. I highly recommend it.

Oh Brandon. I just cannot express how much I love your reactions. You are just so real, so lovely, so honest. I don't know if you've reacted to it yet, but I highly recommend Pentatonix cover of The Prayer from last year. It will absolutely bring you to your knees. Scott sings in his bass register in Italian no less! And Mitch....oh Mitch. You might want to have an oxygen tank nearby. I am so very happy I found you. So many, many reactors here on YT. And a lot of them react to PTX because it's the "cool" thing to do. But they fall into mainly two types: The over-the-top-oh-my-god-listen-to-them-holy-##%& type, who seem to think that is how they are suppoed to act but are 10000% fake and it shows. Or the Eh, I don't really care for acapella music but I guess they are okay if you like that sort of stuff type who seem to believe that if you show a single shred of emotion in a reaction You Tube will implode. I don't really care for, nor do I waste my time on either of those. But rarely, I find a reactor who just genuinely loves and appreciates music in all it's forms. Even more rarely, one who isn't afraid to show how music affects them. Those I the ones I subscribe to. Those are the ones I support. And you are one of them.

I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Kelly Clarkson in concert with Pentatonix years ago (Avi was still in the band). They did "Heartbeat Song" together and I wish they'd make an official recording of it, it was amazing!

This video is a great example for those who don’t understand why people like reactions. It’s like sharing your favorite artist with a friend! I’m guessing more Kelly fans will hit this comment section and would love to see more Kelly on your channel now. There are several reactors doing a lot of Kelly these days but your emotional reaction definitely stands out.

I would LOVE to have Kelly be a regular on the channel.
The video is kind of set in the 70s. It's so much fun. It's a new Christmas song but it sounds like a classic. Meghan Trainor always sounds a bit 50s in her style so I get to the 59s vibe too.
When Pentatonix are backup, they *never* upstage their principal. They are consummate professionals. That's part of the reason they are getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Try their version of Jolene with Dolly Parton, which won all six of them a Grammy. She insisted that they take a verse, although they were all set to do for her what they did for Kelly here.
I haven't seen this since the night at aired, but instantly teared up because I instinctively knew what was coming. 😪 I love Kelly and her Christmas album she released last year was awesome. This is such a beautiful song and they sang it flawlessly. ✌❤😎
I agree the Kelly's vocal talents are very underappreciated. She's like PTX in that she can sing pretty much any genre. It goes without saying that PTX doesn't do covers they do upgrades and the songs they write are awesome. Great reaction, thanks.

I love Kelly Clarkson - I think she is great!! On fact PTX toured with her as an opening at one point in the past. But my small pet peeve about this performance - is that she did not give PTC a verse. In the color that they did with Dolly Parton - which they won a Grammy for by the way - they were expecting to just mainly back her up but she wanted them to have a verse of their own and it was awesome! Love your reactions!! ❤
