I fully blame her choreographers in the early clips because even her back up dancers look silly doing all those moves 😂
Yeah they saw that dua couldnt dance and instead of working around it they just gave her easy moves and made them repetitive

Her choreograph for one kiss was actually a really talented one. The dance break from Sabrina carpenters in my bed was made from the same person.
Dua was literally just untalented in dancing, her whole stage present was off and she just always looked VERY uncomfortable but she definitely improved so it’s definitely not only the choreographers fault + the choreographer actually confirmed that dua had big problems with dancing other routines bc she just wasn’t good enough back then that’s why they made more easier dances for her
I think they made the backup dance dumb it down too because if you notice those back up dancers literally where next to her. So if she forget or gets out of time she can look at the dancers. She never forms a pryrimd with them or often doesn't. You can also see in other performances that she slowly goes a little back so she can look at the back up dancers instead of being in front or tip of the formation.
Those grey dresses coupled with that trash choreography 😭😭

Actually not true. Her choreographers were always good but she couldn’t handle other dancers, they even confirmed it bc she just didn’t feel comfortable and wasn’t good enough to do harder and faster dances but she worked on her self and her confidence and is way better now

It’s kinda weird bc my sister was saying to me that when she saw Dua perform in 2018 at a festival it was one of the best performances she had/has ever seen! Which contradicts most media, but whatever the performance the music is still a bop
I think flaws add to the overall charm of things bc some of the best performances I ever seen weren't all that perfect
her choreographies sucked, all her dancers make jus ONE movement in the whole part of the song lmao, it is obvious that she will not look good doing it. Now they make it look more complex and she has improved a lot.
Her choreographer confirmed that she wasn’t able to dance to harder choreos bc she just wasn’t good at dancing and didn’t feel comfortable to do really dancing that’s why her dances were always easy and slower

The girl is talented but people are not her fans because of her dancing skills, anyway we appreciate knowing that she wanted to improve at this

@@danielle8379 she didn’t really have an option. She has to sink with other dancers and they have to sink with her. Their job is to come and perform what they are told and how they are told to. Her agency had to see how she is gonna look. It’s not her fault when choreography is trash

Imma fan here. She is definitely not a dancer but as a performer she must also learn to move and groove in tune especially most of her songs are upbeat. But heck yeah she really took the criticisms professionally coz it is true she really looks very awkward and lack of expressions on live performances during her first stages (dont blame it to choreographer, no excuses). Now, you can see on her recent live perfs that she really improved very well at the same time you can see her enjoying.

I saw the meme and then watched the last video when it was live (i'm a kpop fan). And that was the day I started loving her. I actually was afraid of how she'd do in front of so many professional dancers, and tbh, I think she did pretty good. She improved a lot in her dancing. She's not in kpop level (c'mon, she's a singer, she doesn't have to dance and there are many people that dance and sell CDs of their singing when their voices are bellow average), but she did well. Perhaps changing her choreography would help her or having some basic training in dancing. It's been more than a year, and I'm glad I heard this song there bc her last album has been a great companion for me this pandemic

I agree with another comment saying they blame the choreographer. If you know the artist has no or very little rhythm, then please find a work around. The stiff and simple moves (even at the 2021 Grammys) is painful to watch. Her music are club songs that have deep base and a fast tempo. I want to see a lot of energy and purpose with every move. Not lazy steps barely getting through the songs. But yes...much improvement.

Who made that one kiss choreography 😂 . Dua has stage presence when people are not trying to force her to dance. I saw dua live when she was alone standing with an microphone and she has an lot more stage presence in compare with this video.
