It has always fascinated me as to what Sora experiences in his Dive to His Heart. The Voice simply tells him with the choices of the Mystic, Guardian or the Warrior.
What is said about all three weapons or items there, in my humble opinion and observation is that they have great specialties but also come with a price;
The Shield: It will give you the ability to protect those you love and care about, but at the cost of also pushing them away.
The Rod: Nigh-Unlimited Power, but also have the power to ruin the world around you.
The Sword: Greatest of Strength to own and never back down with your Invincible Courage, but ultimately. It will also Destroy the World through your own Inactions while you wield it...

@@finstrike7they’re disagreeing with your take on it in, probably the single most disrespectful way I’ve seen. Without even putting any effort into explaining WHY they disagree with you.
They just decided to post and cause problems for no reason BUT to cause problems, because if they had anything they wanted to say beyond “no”, they would have.
That all said, I will say I like this take! A sorta more somber and mature way of interpreting these options. Even if it wasn’t what they intended for us to see in this all. (But hey it’s kingdom hearts so ANYTHING is possible.)

Nomura confirmed it was Mickey.
the issue is that in Japanese, Mickey has a particular way of speaking, but it wasn't translated into English
