Just Bought a pair of Dynaudio Core 7's, looking forward to working with them and how they differ to my well used KRK VXT6 monitors may do a video later on.
Hiya Paul, thanks for the great unboxing and overview video. I noticed that you also had the Focal Trio11 Be monitors setup in your Moss Garden studio. I know that monitors are highly subjective things and that personal preference and tastes will play a big part in what works for an engineer. That said, do you have any personal comparisons you’d share between the Dynaudio core 59 and Focal Trio11 (or Trio6)? Differences in sweet spot, low end tightness, how well you feel your mixes translate after mixing on one or the other, etc. I’ve worked on Dynaudio BM 6 mkIII across three different studios and love them but really want something 3 way with more clarity in the mid range, more authority on the bottom, and something with a far larger sweet spot.
Sonically they are night and day and very hard to describe in direct comparison. I am not trying to be evasive, but no two monitors sound alike, even those from the same manufacturer. I remember what I really liked about the Dynaudio was how neutral they are and how deep the sound stage was.
@@RecordingMag If the difference is day and night, it must be easy to write basic differences in sound instead of evasive politically correct blank answers.
@@RecordingMag Ok awesome! My room is small 10x12 and feel the tweeters might need to be on the inside. I have the core sub to. Massive upgrade from my LYD 8's.
It depends on the space you have. I noticed in my experiments speakers tend to sound better standing upright than sideways with woofer positioned inwards. Woofers positioned outwards seems to work well in big rooms. Best to try yourself, position speakers in the right distance from yourself and give it a try. When measuring distance I always measure from a tweeter to tweeter and then to myself.

How do you compare them to Focal (behind). I am between two.
Awesome stuff - What desk stands do you have the Dynaudio Core 7's on at the end ??
5:50 I really hope so you worked the optimal placement for them, before starting judging anything.
Just got may 59's today. when laying them on their side, do you put the tweeter on the inside or outside? Just curious! Thanks!
That is the subject of much debate on the interwebs. I personally prefer the tweeter/mid driver on the inside...but that's more just for space issues.

@@markjacksonmusic21 Nice set up!!!

What is the purpose of the analog sensitivity switch?
You made a video about unboxing monitors that was literally just the unboxing? What was the point here?
Why is he sitting in the monitors? Nice video though.
