    Love Perrin products!!! That Master Brace brake cylinder was so tight to work with, but works great!

    Did you notice any difference in brake feel with the MC brace? I do like that your Cusco bar provides reincorcement all the way around the strut tower vs the Perrin just on one side of each tower.

    • @TheBTRGarage
      @TheBTRGarage  5 месяцев назад

      Not really on the brake feel.
      I did put the Cusco bar back on as well. I got it custom powder coated and I do like the integrated MC brace and fitment better.

      @@TheBTRGarage Nice, yeah I don’t think my braking feel is evolved enough yet that I’d be able to tell, but curious to see.

    Happy New Year Justin! Isn't there a MCB that doesn't interfere w/the STB? Does Cusco make a STB that includes the MCB as part of the design? (someone does as I remember seeing one). How well do the bar ends grab and hold the STB and prevent slipping inside the bar ends? It is only 4 bolts holding the top caps in place against the bar. Let us know if there is any difference btwn the Cusco and Perrin bars in terms of "feel". Doubtful, but you never know w/how the two bars are constructed.

    • @TheBTRGarage
      @TheBTRGarage  7 месяцев назад +1

      The Cusco bar I took off has the integrated MCB on it. The bar ends are pretty solid/tight, I can't imagine the bar moving around in there. The feel between the Cusco and Perrin is the same, which is not much to begin with.

    I do think it’s lame that Toyota/Subaru went back to a plastic intake manifold. Wish they would’ve kept the aluminum one like the facelift gen 1.

    • @TheBTRGarage
      @TheBTRGarage  7 месяцев назад +1

      Same, I liked the red one on my 2017 BRZ, if simply for looks.

      @@TheBTRGarage Yeah man. It will be interesting if we get a facelift of Gen 2, will it receive similar treatment the update gen 1 had. A shorter final drive would be really nice on the second generation.

    The Engine cover fits previous generation?

    • @TheBTRGarage
      @TheBTRGarage  7 месяцев назад +1

      According to Perrin website it is just the gen2 cars. I can't find a version for the gen1 cars, weird.

    By chance did you ever replace compressor wheel in the powerstroke 7.3?

    • @TheBTRGarage
      @TheBTRGarage  7 месяцев назад +1

      I did! I have the BD Diesel turbo wheel for the stock turbo. Probably one of my favorite upgrades. Eliminated compressor surge and builds boost quicker/smoother.

    Was there any reason replacing the Cusco strut tower brace with the Perrin?

    • @JustinLaps
      @JustinLaps 5 месяцев назад +1

      Just for looks and having matching Perrin stuff in the engine bay. I got my Cusco bar custom powder coated to better match and will probably put that back on.

    Anyone know if that strut tower bar works with the STI Flexible V-bars? I looked at Perrin's site and the installation instructions and I didn't see a note about those compared to the steel stock ones.

    • @DanielRobbinsFuntoo
      @DanielRobbinsFuntoo 3 месяца назад

      If by "works with" you mean fits, the answer should be yes. I have the STI flexible V-bars and they are a drop-in replacement for the OEM v-bars with same dimensions/mount method.
