ABOUT THE BREED
The Central Asian Shepherd (CAS), also known as Alabai or Ovtcharkas is a mastiff type dog used as personal protection as well as for a livestock guardian, it was originally bred to guard herds against predators . It is one of the oldest dog breeds, dating back around 5000 years. They originated mainly from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and surrounding areas. These dogs prefer to live outside, the bigger the area the better.
