One thing that bothered me about the Community Center is that after its initial completion, it is never really used for anything. Occasionally, you will find NPCs in there, but there is no event that brings the community together in the Community Center. I would like it if the new festival or one of the mini-festivals involves its use.
Like on the day you completed it on that day every year there's a little mini festival or something little thank you or something that'd be cool then it's unique to everybody

I think there should be mini games you can play in the community centre in different rooms.. I think that's an idea.

The community center did something: Some shops close earlier and aren’t open at some days, also you are loosing a shop to buy from (Joja Center)
I reckon it will be a swamp farm, plus the new farm animal you mentioned could also make sense. Maybe we get to farm frogs, considering there’s new frog sprites.

I agree I said the same thing. I also saw some trees that look swampy. I know there is a swamp by the witches hut but idk I feel these are different.

I think you should be able to get frogs on a swamp farm.
I reckon that the night markets is a mini festival, something that you can come and go to without skipping right to 10pm

I feel like the mini festivals could refer to something like the night market, where its not got a proper event, like dancing, collecting eggs, etc.

I think ConcernedApe was originally going to update Stardew a little but then as he started, the creative juices started running and he's adding new stuff he always wanted to and ALSO! Since he wants to work on Haunted Chocolatier, I suspect he's testing some things with this new update to see our reactions so he can better gage how things in Haunted chocolatier will fare :) and I love it ❤❤❤ so excited!!!!
As a mobile-only player I’m so excited about the winter outfits! I think maybe we’ll get a frog hutch, like the slime hutch but to raise frogs? And the new map might be an 8 player setup, like the four corners was for 4 person multiplayer.
Is 1.5 on mobile now? I remember it just not releasing on there for some reason

I agree that the new farm type will be a swamp farm. I was also thinking it could be a Jungle farm too. As for the "eggs" I think they might be cocoa beans. It would make your idea about Hunted Chocolatetier and Stardew Valley more cohesive and make the Swamp and Jungle farms more probable as cocoa beans grow in warmer climates.
a mini festival that involved romancing the characters such as an actual wedding, an anniversary, or somethings like valentines day where you get extra hearts for giving special gifts would be so cool

Thanks for bringing great news, Sharky! I hope the mini festivals work like Night Market (without blocking the whole map area for entire day) or like Pirates meeting in the Ginger Island cave, which you can join at certain hour. It would be cool to have a minigame session in the restored Community Center, like bingo or trivia night.
I always thought we have major and mini festiveble as it was. Like Egg festiveble a major while dance one was a mini one
I went the community center route, so it would be really nice if there was a method to buy the auto petter.
On the mini-festivals! If I had to name something in the game that could be a mini festival, it would definitely be the night market because of how drawn out and easily missable/non-interactable it is. The night market isn't an all-day event that time blocks the player and has everyone gather on a single day, so maybe we'll get something similar in other seasons!
What biome irl do coca beans grow in again?
Like, if there's gonna be any crossover, the first easter-egg seems like it should be making chocolate in stardew. Then have a farm with the right climate/theme for it.
I vote you do a series with 8 player multiplayer. Either with other SDV streamers or maybe even pick some members to do it with?
I’m loving listening to the speculation and theories. The man is a legend, and a shining example of how you can create something amazing whilst not being greedy.
Could there be some kind of desert farm? Or like a dead one, like where vegetation is dead and stuff which makes the game harder? Who knows, we can but only speculate. I’m very impatient though so I pray this drops in 2023 🙏🏻

A storm totem maybe? Guaranteed lightning for batteries, but other than that I don't see no other use for a weather totem? Makes more sense for a warp totem imo

@@SharkyGamess I've always wished for a sun totem (turns rain/storm into a sunny day); I have 100+ pigs on the farm and every rain day costs me 300k of truffles! The happy face seems to suggest something along those lines. For once Alex might get to go play ball outside on his birthday!
there is already a mod that change rain weather to any weather totem(including storm) so I'm more inclined to it being warp totem

I'm putting my guess in for Butterfly Peaflower tea. It's actually blue. Not much flavor, I combine it with Black tea or green tea for fun hues. It's also used for natural dyeing of foods so it would be useful if implemented. Maybe, idk, lol. Thank you so much for all the content Sharky! You're the best!
It is so nice how Concernedape does not charge for dlc like games like evlove and sims 4 with the later being extremely greedy

The purple cup is maybe a stardrop coffee/ tea that gives us special buffs? ☕
And new endgame content maybe means a new type of dungeon, with stronger enemies than the vulcano? Maybe that is what we need the bow or crossbow for? And the special totem obtained from the wizard teleports us there. Imagine, a magical dungeon. A greater challenge than the harder mines. That's why we need more skill developement, or we may don't make it over there....
I think that the Joja Parrot on the island is going to be a golden walnut alternative payment. BEcause Joja is a moneysucker and you can complete the CC with money

I really love that concernedApe doesn’t let this game die. The game is really affordable and yet we still get so many good updates. Totally feels like a dream sometimes

I feel like two ideas for mini ftivals could be marriage anniversaries, or your npcs birthday (which will be added as a day you can choose after the update)
the boat festival is a mini festival, as far as I’m aware it’s the only one so far, if it’s a festival and it doesn’t freeze time progression it’s counted as a mini festival

Whatever we get, we're gonna love it. Let's face it. It's new Stardew content. ConcernedApe has never let us down.

I'm so excited for this update! I love playing this on PC but I play a lot of the console version too. It'll shake things up!
I wonder if the beans/seeds are like cocoa beans so maybe chocolate? Since there is chocolate cake but not a chocolate ingredient.
I would really like a jungle/swamp farm! It would be so cool. I think the different farms you mentioned would be so fun to try.
Maybe mini-festivals are like the Community Day or Joja Day from SVE, where the whole town does something but you're not locked in and lose most of the day.
I think that since he says 'each of the skill areas' it won't be new skills but expanding the existing skills, either by increasing the level or a prestige system like the MARGO mod.
Maybe the golden parrot will create an airship that will take you to a new area? That could also be where the new totem takes you.
I'm leaning towardings a snowy farm too, maybe with it's own hot spring. There could also be a cave heated by the hot spring where you could grow crops.
The golden things look like scales to me.
Most of all, I think my mods folder is going to keel over and die, especially SVE!😅

The top row second item in: I’m seeing roasted marshmallows… maybe like a camping ish theme?
That green star plant makes me think of that special purple star fruit that your rewarded for completing certain tasks. The Stardrop fruit.
If it’s a swamp farm it could be like the opposite of beach farms, so you can’t use fertilizers or the crops are always in he lowest quality. Which would also make sense since swamps are not very fertile and nutrients often get washed away.
I was thinking it could be a totem that brings you to a festival, especially if they'll be happening on Ginger Island as well.
Map I'm thinking it'll probably be a bigger map. Though it would be cool if it was a "cold climate" map, where you have more greenhouses or greenhouse space, but you can't plant outside or it's more limited.
I think the star is a charm of sorts, the quiver is most likely to be connccted tk the expanded skill areas. I hope the slingshot is fixed on mobile since it's super hard. Overall, super excited!!!
I guess the mini festivals will be something like the night market. It is the only thing that comes to mind when I think about a mini festival, because it is an event that happens every year but is not on the same format of the other festivals because time keeps running and you are not blocked from any area like when you can’t enter the town on the egg festival day.
My thoughts, I think there’s going to be a St. Patrick’s festival. It looked like there was a pixelated clover and some potatoes, but since Stardew Valley already grows potatoes, I’m starting to think that some aspects of Haunted Chocolatier are going to be released into Sdv gameplay. I find it exciting personally, but I’m also hoping there’s some sort of lore to bring the games together if that’s the case. Hopefully this makes sense for anyone who reads this far.
Frogs for farming. Probably for the ponds. Probably a swamp farm hence the different frog types. Like chickens.

Mini Romance Festival, like Valentines / White Day with romantic and platonic gifts, could boost early heart gain if placed in early Spring.
With 8-Player capabilities should come an 8-Player-Sized Farm ; a Winter farm with several fixable greenhouses would be amazing, even better with winter crops/trees. Love your wetland theory though.
While I doubt the Forever Winter farm will be a feature, it does sounds like a real fun challenge a modder could make!
How about the ticket could take player train and the new location could be something connected to winter cause of winter clothings
My first thought was a "mountain summit" farm that was always winter.
Perhaps the giant bush requires the golden scythe to be cut? Also I think I remember hearing about an iridium scythe, but I might be misremembering.
I think the box with the question mark is going to be a new kind of loot box like the beach farm has that washes up on the beach farm, only possibly for the new farm type. The purple tea kind of reminds me of the Snilk (snake milk) that Mr. QI gives you for making it to level 100 of the skull caverns and it permanently raises your hp. Idk about the rest lol.

so the green star charm i am so sure is festival related, im getting summery vibes. fairly sure that new major festival will be either summer or fall, but am very much hoping its an unlockable festival once youve restored the island resort

the quiver and arrows if true are absolutely meant to be an alternative to the slingshot, since most outside of speedrunning arent a fan of that weapon type
the farm type i am STUMPED, because we already have everything that gives something specific. your two theories are super interesting, and if either were to be true im leaning on swamp - though not needing to water seems too OP yknow? what would be the drawback that farm type has?
EDIT: if swamp with perm watered soil, what if the drawback is you dont get natural grass and cant plant? so would have to buy hay for animals? …but then, do we still get truffles if no grass?

It would be the 8th farm as well, so maybe they incorporate a bit of the other 7, I dunno.

I wonder if the joja ginger island will be more about buying golden walnuts with gold. Seems very joja and it appears to be in a walnut location. I think the bow sounds great, maybe with craftable arrows from wood. For skills I’d like to see an opportunity to specialize. Maxed out in everything but you choose one skill and get to like 15. Jack of all trades but a master fisherman
