I was discussing using the vacuum gauge to verify a leak. You can locate a leak with carb cleaner, but if you have a wire arcing out it can cause a flash fire in your face. You can use WD40 also. The problem with that is it gets all over your motor and makes a mess. The vacuum gauge can be used to adjust your carb also. Mine is a Snap On. Harbor Freight sells one for a very ŕeasonable price.
