As many other people, I went back to the Yoga with Adriene archives, taking my time with old videos during the pandemic. It does my soul good and I appreciate the years of work Adriene shared with us. Going back to the classics during quarantine seems to be a common theme among people all over the world, be it RUclips videos or series or movies or books. Thank you, Adriene, for being such a support to everyone through your tireless work. Sending love to everyone.

Wheee! This is great news! I want the videos to serve people at home and in their bodies but also to serve as preparation (physically and mentally - sometimes emotionally :) to go deeper into Yoga and spend some time on themselves. We are worth it! Perhaps then we can feel comfortable and empowered in any public class! Thanks for the feedback! XO A

Hi Rida, it is common. Your wrists are probably not used to being used in this fashion. Everyone is different so I try not to use the word "Normal" but yes it is common :) Make sure you are pressing up and out of your foundation- and not sinking dead weight into your bones/joints - wake up the body. This becomes easier with practice- or rather with practice you will begin to find more ease. You can also experiment with turning your fingers out just slightly- or also practice this on fists. XO, A

Hi! So I'm new to yoga and so far I love it! I have always had horrible posture and basically, I just have never felt comfortable in my body. Does this make sense? Anyway, I am a mother of 5 children working full time out of the home so I have no time to go to classes at this point. So I am thrilled to have found Adriene! I have been working on some of the basic poses and hope that I'm improving. Did I mention the fact that I have zero flexibility and that i'm also over weight? Ha! Anyway, here I am!

I started doing yoga about 2 years ago but stopped for a bit and decided to start over again and it was a huge eye opener to feel the muscles in my shoulders and arms working, realizing how much I missed doing yoga and how weak I have gotten while not doing it. Thank you Adriene for your amazing videos!

Thank you very much for this practice.
I was prescribed with abtiobiotics and after finishing the dose I was experiencing gallbladder pain and stomach and intestines distress mainly in the right side of my body. I pumped up my diet with probiotics and healthy foods and I saw an improvement, but something still felt not right.
During this practice I noticed an untangling feeling in the upper right side of my stomach: it felt like more than the gallbladder was reacting inside. At that very moment I knew I had to breathe and move carefully, rushing it felt like a dangerous thing. I did realize this but I was confident that going at the pace my body was dictating and just listening, being aware, nothing bad was going to happen. Patience was key. I did this practice once. This was last month and I have not had any more problems since. It's the final alignment I needed. 💖✨

YOU are the one I’ve been looking for! Thank you! Your detailed instructions on how to do this pose leave me floored! I had NO IDEA that there was so much to benefit us from cat/cow, because yes, all of my previous experiences with this pose have been blown through so quickly with not near enough information about how to even do this pose justice. I am so happy to have found you, and to be following you now! ☺️❤️

I'm a yoga beginner. I have been to two classes of hath a yoga and am really enjoying it. I agree that cat-cow is often rushed through . I really need to work on starting at the tail bone and working through each vertebrae. Thank you for the great explanation its really helped.

I've just started to learn yoga with You, and I absolutely love it. I have a chronic back pain due to slight scoliosis at chest level. Yet I have to work full time as a healthcare assistant (LOTS of manual handling). Despite the fact, that I follow health&safety guidelines (when possible :)) my back is still suffering. I was always told to exercise to strengthen my back, but I actually hate all the gym exercise and fitness workouts. I really do (and it often makes it worse). Swimming is nice, but membership is very expensive and would take too much time to commute (on the opposite end of the city). But this is like heaven. Gentle exercise which released the stress from my back muscles. Like "poof" and it doesn't hurt. Why haven't I tried this earlier!

This is the first yoga pose I learned, my first love, my savior. It seemed like we were meant to be from the first time.
I was working as a cleaner and it was heavy for my back. I was severely depressed and had anxiety (though I didn't know it back then, it can actually show symptoms in lower back). I cried almost every night because my back hurt so much, I thought I was going to have a surgery.
I found this article about yoga for back and I bought it. This will sound stupid but the first time I did the routine, my pain went away. So I truly believe that the most important lesson you can learn from yoga is to breath and take care.

I had a terrible terrible back when I started watching your videos I remember when I first tried Sukhasana I almost broke down in tears because I could barely straighten my back it was so painful.
