One of the best live performed versions of this song after Freddie's death. And this audience stood there like mindless zombies. lmfao
it's because the audience has to sit down. A sitting audience is for musicals or for other theater performances. At a rock concert you stand. Nothing kills an audience like having them sit down.
Kind of hard to be jumping around when you're dressed in all your finery.
Pauljackson1988 I agree . Never seen Brian and Roger do this together. They should do a few .. Brian your Great .. maybe no other singer?
Mala audiencia sí yo hubiese estado ahí hubiese saltado como loca
Agreed
This audience obviously represents the corporate side of the music business
This comment. 👌
Yep
Absolutely.
Lifeless bastards
I wasn't that impressed with Queen. Why just the one song? Usually the audience, and the floor seats are reserved for inductees, goes nuts! Especially for a band that nobody had been able to see perform for aprox 10 years. Other inductees generally get on stage and jam as sort of a welcome to the club celebration. I'm wondering if Queen refused the other musicians? When Nirvana;a was inducted a few years ago, they played 4 songs with 4 different singers filling in for Kurt. The Doors played 4 songs with Eddie Vedder singing in place of Jim Morrison. Maybe Queen just wasn't into it??? They didn;t seem to be enjoying themselves as much as most bands do. I try to go every year if I can score tickets but they're impossible to get, and it;s not a matter of ticket prices. I couldn't get in that year so I'm not sure what happened. Just from this and other film of the evening I noticed Jimmy Page and Robert Plant sitting in the front corner of the balcony. During Steely Dans acceptance speech I saw Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Paul Simon and Springsteen, who never misses and generally plays with everyone! Aerosmith, who was also inducted in 2001was sitting 3 rows from the stage. Paul McCartney and Billy Joel were 2 rows back along the side and were not exactly animated either.
Brian is the only guitarist who rocks and is super chill at the same time. Love him.
Yo check Eric clapton
check my mans Dave Grohl well.. at least sometimes
Ace frehley
Kirk Hammet
George Harrison
Brian's actually a good singer
ofc he is. but when u have freddie in your group u can't sing :D
Bert Rich I knew Brian may was a great guitar player he actually has a great voice. And if I was in that audience I would have been going bana nas
Everyone in Queen is a great singer... Listen to any of their songs, it's not just Freddie dubbing himself (but he did some times) it's the whole band harmonizing
Brian and Roger have both sang multiples times in Queen songs check out I'm love with my car, I want it all, Who wants to live forever to get an idea
Have u heard resurrection by brian
I think that Roger Taylor and Brian may are one of the most underrated vocalists
Uaaauu
Roger Taylor sang the high parts in Bohemian Rapsody not Fredie.
You should watch Brian live Brixton 1993
The audience should be on their feet and singing along. I mean.. Two legends on stage!!
+Ian Leo es un concierto de rock no una pinche fiesta de tea!!!!!
Ian Leo Imgaine what would Freddie said about them audience
Ian Leo yes you are right.. YNWA
bebicakes 123 HAHAHAHA
That audience sucks. C'mon, people, it's Brian and Roger (and staff, of course) who are performing the unique We Will Rock You!
Yes, I thought the audience a little too formal too. I was dying for them to loosen up and start jamming but they never did unfortunately. :(
You were there???
No!!!! I was talking about my reaction to what I saw in the video. My apologies for not having been clearer about that. I WISH I'd been there though!
Ah, no problem! It would have been awesome to be there.
No Freddie Mercury...
Imagine how Freddie would’ve rocked this place if he was still alive
this comment made me cry
the crowd makes it really awkward, Brians like cmon you schmucks sing!
Uaaauu
Lol
God damn the Red Special is such a beauty.
Yes it is
Dad helps son build a guitar. Then gets pissed when he wants to play in a band. Sees him live for the first time in Madison Square Garden. After the show tells him, with a smile, "I get it now". Sounds like movie plot. "The Red Special"
The audience acts like they never even heard of Queen: one of the greatest bands of all time! They should be ashamed of themselves! Roger and Brian did phenomenal !
It's surprising to see the audience so frozen and quiet
Brian wrote that song too. Guitar God + Drum God = FUCKING EPIC.
This is queen induction to the hall of fame playing we will rock you
Come on audience once in a lifetime show
That's why I hate watching those ceremonies. Everyone is seating at their table, in tuxedos and gowns, waiting for their $2000 meal each. Then when it's time to celebrate the most amazing rock band in history, they are so engulfed they can't get off their seat, making Queen look like an entertainment band at the local ball. Ain't that a shame.
exactly! such a shame
Appallling!
Honestly, this audience is PERFECT.
For a freaking funeral. What the hell guys.
lol
perfect motherfuckers! those people are zombies
AMEN !!!!!!
Wow, the crowd is a bunch of stiffs.
+OSUalum41 When it shows all those tables. Party dinner shouldn't exist. At least not at Hall of Fame, jackasses.
+OSUalum41 well i mean it's hof what did u expect headbanging lol?
I guess they didn't have anyone who played Rock N Roll in the audience. If I was there, I would have been clapping and pounding on the table! Not to mention, singing at the top of my lungs!
ryouko Yeah, That's what Rock means!
100 % with you man. Love this performance nonetheless. Woohoo!!
Also Some of them Are Rivals of Queen So Shut the Fucccc Up
I love anything by Queen! This performance, even without Freddie is epic! They did an amazing job! RIP Freddie...
I’m so so happy that Roger & Brian sang for Freddie and not anyone else
The audience SUCKED this is the one and only queen were talking here and they just sat there looking dazed and confused.
This was the one and only time they performed this song in THIS way. I love this version.
Amazing performance by Queen. Great vocals by Bri and Rog. Audience must have been on Valium though.
1 and 3/7ths sugar! I remember seeing a video and someone said they wanted that in their coffee. Only a true Queeny knowns that.
I'm American and I want to apologize for our country for the appalling behaviour of this so-called audience. I assure you, we are blnot all as stodgy as this lot. I think they must have been tranquilized.
They Are Not All American Omegalul
It wasn’t a concert, it was a highly fancy and formal get to together they wouldn’t stand up and rock out
As an American, I’m sadden to think how fucked up it is Hendrix had to go to Europe to become famous!!! America usually doesn’t realize talent till it’s been a while, or too late!
Fact: bohemian became bigger and more well known, after Wayne’s world came out!!!!!!
@@joesaban5690 Yup, that's it
Yeah for having a shit audience
Brian made his own guitar. He designed and built it over the years I heard him say when he was interviewed on public radio. They did a special interview of him, and he really was the catalyst that kept the band together. I was involved in life in Mpls, MN from 1980-1990 and Queen's sound and vibe was almost up there with Prince; the 80s was the beginning of the cocaine revolution, music had changed 180%, like it was mostly produced with a lot of money and cocaine. AIDS really swept through Minneapolis- it was the heroin of the 60s, took thousands of lives. Queen was the band with the largest attendence at on concert.
I love these guys, Brian May rocking his guitar and Roger playing drums I got chills and tingles, they are my favs.
Patricia Harman Yeah love them
A guitarist and a drummer in a band who can sing so much better than most lead singers today.
And an audience that sleeps.
They so deserve it! Rock on! Thank you for NOT trying to replace Freddie and singing everything yourselves guys! Love to you Jer Bulsara! xoxo
A great performance that is going unappreciated. That audience is sitting like bumps on a log.
I love the absolute confidence in Brian's voice singing this song!!! BRAVO QUEEN!! Long may you live!!!
If I was there I would go crazy for these two legends! Sad to see that these were boring audiences
Fuck what an epic performance. They truly are masters. Love how they still use the same instruments and have the same classic sound. Brian sings really well. And holy fuck does he shred. When I first heard him play guitar it changed how I saw the guitar. Such a unique sound.
Couldn't even picture an audience so bad before watching this. Great performance btw
Crowd doesn't deserve these two legends 😢😭😭
Its a formal event, tf u want them to do?
Go crazy and mess up the tables?💀
@@lilmcnoggy1439 if Freddie was there ... that might have happened LOL ...not really though, cuz he knew how and when to behave. But I'd have loved to see him accept his RRHOF Award.
Wow...this is the first time I saw them perform without a front man! Excellent job..you did the song justice and Freddie would be proud..its your song guys...it would be great at your summer tour in the US!!
Brian's kicking guitar and Roger on drums......classic.....
i miss freddie he didnt deserve to die
Zac Fernandez
Dude you’re everywhere
This is just the "shot" in the ears I needed. I've said all over RUclips that Brian and Roger could/should do their own vocals on tour(look at the flippin' fantabulous job they've done here) Way to go guys, great performance Roger and Brian. Love you, ~ a Queen purest
Tammy Reyes They did do their vocals on tour for a while. Brian May formed a solo band with Cozy Powell and someone else called the Brain May band and Roger formed a band called the Cross
The thing is - and Roger has said this - that it’s fine doing vocals like they did here but they can’t do that for a two hour show without compromising the music.
Brian May did an amazing solo album and tour Called Back To The Light!
what are they singing to a pack of zombies?
WE're with you Brian! Rock on Roger! ( #John, #Freddie).
Freddie would be proud
That audience has no respect
What a slap in Freddie's face
This is where you really miss Freddie. You just know he would have gotten that audience to stand on their feet and participate come hell or high water.
Come ooooooon everybody!
He even said " let's party " and nobody did
I really dont know know what to do at this point - ITS hard to watch it OMG fuck this audience 😐
God bless Brian may. Thats the best thing to do, sing IT yourselves
Freddy is there man in spirit...long live queen
How could they just sit there while witnessing two of the greatest musicians to ever live??
Awesome performance. Like fine wine they get better with time. Minus Freddie of course. Rest in peace.
Forgive us we are so lame, thank you for blessing us with your music today!!!!!
Queen👑🙌🏻🙌🏻
Roger's voice❤
snotty rich people, let the real fans in!
I can't comprehend this, a really waste of time for the super rock British band Queen, to have to play for those dudes bigheads!!.....
Shame on the audience , those two were awesome!!!
Right. The audience does not deserve seeing them live at all, in my opinion
wow this crowd is absolutely terrible.
The audience's attitude is incredible...
I miss Freddie. I'm gonna play Queen for the rest of the night.
Roger is so gorgeous!!!!!
What a freaking audience!!! They didn’t want Queen their expecting Justin Bieber!.
OMG I love Queen and Freddie so much. I support them always
Great guitar player
From watching this audience, you know who the fans are and who are the kissasses, Queen is legendary beyond belief, they do not need some award to know they are the best, they have fans all over the world that love Queen and Freddie, God bless
Roger and Brian deserved a much better audience. They are Queen for Christs sake.
FREDDIE WOULD BE SO PROUD!!! R.I.P FREDDIE MERCURY
Perfect! This is the Queen I want to hear. No substitutes... the real Queen! 💯
QUEEN!! THE GREATEST BAND EVERRRRR!
Dang, seating perfectly still while listening to Queen perform We Will Rock You is just too damn hard to do!! These people got some freaking nerves to not be affected by this performance!
I always liked Queen cause they represent true Rock.
No cocky arrogance, ego, extra fluff like Motley Crue etc...bands more concerned about their image/looks than actual music.
Freddie was a class act. There won't be anyone like Queen again.
Doesn't the audience appear plainly ecstatic?
Watch them play at the 2019 Oscars & you will not be disappointed. They OPENED to a standing ovation & got the adoration they deserved. They never won Grammys but no other rock band can say they played the biggest live award show in the world & are still rocking almost 50 years later!
I recorded this on VHS when it first aired. Hard to believe its been nineteen years.
Wish John had been there. How nice Mrs Bulsara accepted for Frddie. RIP Freddie~ We still love you ! 〷◠‿◠〷
If queen were to ever tour again I'd love to see Brian may sing not going to lie he's awesome
Queen is actually touring. They have Adam Lambert as a leading vocalist (and in my opinion - he's great) and he sings most of the songs, but not all. As I remember - " '39 " and "Love of My Life" are sung by Brian.
Brian has a good voice
Goodbye Thank you much love Freddie Mercury And Queen of Rock Miss you sad Death Mercury 1946-1991 Rest in Peace ✌ 👋 Thank you Queen we miss all you guys Michael Jackson 2001 to music guitar 🎸 Brian may
Thank you for posting this.. A masterpiece now as it was back when. Brian and Roger, masters at their craft..Would have loved to see John there, and I'm sure freddy would be smiling as he is with them always. long live Queen
At least Freddie’s mom got a standing ovation
Debbie Harry in the front row is certainly feeling it!
Best band ever.... Freddie mercury would have loved this. I am so proud of Brian and Roger for taking queen on with out Freddie it was not easy but I myself could not imagine the world with out queen. Freddie would be so proud of yous not would he is. As Freddie would have said love ya darling
Something tells me now that Queen is back on top those audience members probably brag about the time they saw Bri and Rog perform at the RRHOF.
I love how they shared the vocals.
Anyone else notice the swagalicious pianist clapping into his microphone during certain parts?
Are you talking about Spike?
Yesssss!! This is the EXACT same version they play on iHeartRadio app. Hear it all the time on the Journey's radio station i jam. Love it!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💖💖💖💖💖
Johnny Rotton (Lydon) went around before the show and put super glue on all chairs just to piss everyone off!!
Freddie someone still loves you
Lame audience in formal wear.
This song Sound's very nice with bryan's voice
Brain may u amaxing guitarist n singer xxx love n peace
God bless Queen. I miss John being there, but he is part of Queen forever.
Legit impressed with Brian's vocals. Always seemed to do better with the softer stuff but he shows a strong rock voice here.
Roger does a nice job of putting his own spin on the vocals which I also really enjoy but Brian's fit the spirit of the song more
woah he could sing, didnt know that. but i guess you need to have some sort of vocal talent to back freddy. this is great
Damn Brian May can sing. He's not Freddie of course but he has proven time and again he can handle a lot of what Freddie did vocally live. Very impressive. Man there's a lot this guy can do more than I already knew he could. He is slowly becoming one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen altogether. I already admire him so much for his contributions to Queen and his role in the band. He also is so humble too, especially considering he's a devout scholar.
Lord! It's like waking the dead! I'd be standing, stomping, & singing.
brian may has got cool singing voice
Have you heard back to the light solo album? Very good
I love Freddie, Brian, Roger and Deacon. 💖💖💖💖
Correction: "Brian May and Roger Taylor perform live at Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Inductions 2001". John Deacon and Freddie Mercury did not perform with Brian and Roger so it was not Queen.
Hope, Freddie knows how much he was / is Loved !
Very influential Song that I love
That is NOT a typical American crowd. I don't know who they are but they are NOT typical.
tantos muñecos de torta que empalagan...teniendo a Queen tocando en vivo estan como momias todos!!!
LEGENDS 🏆🏆🏆🏆🤴🤴🤴🤴
