Nothing against Trujillo's very obvious extensive talent and playing ability, but Jason Newsted is/was a force to be reckoned within this band that is sorely missed.

Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, and Ron Wood all graced Metallica with their presence and jammed the fuck out!!!!!! I mean, let's not forgot that Kirk Hammond is 'one of those guys' already but c'mon!!!! That is a stage FULL OF LEGENDS!!!!!! The Yardbirds are represented, Aerosmith is represented, Led Zeppelin is represented, The Rolling Stones are represented................ if your jaw isn't dropping yet then you fucking suck at music!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the upload!!!! I've been a metallic fan since 98-99 when i truly got into music. But i can vaguely remember seeing one on MTV around 89-90 with my dad while my mom, grandfather, uncle and some other friends went to a WWF thing. I was 5. Cliff is 1 of my favorite bassists along with Newsted, and Trujillo. Could even throw Flea in that list. Bass is my instrument of choice..
Very well conceived and spoken tribute from Flea. He speaks eloquently but authentically about the creature that is metal music, and specifically Metallica's. His thoughts about aggressive music being alchemy ... so perfectly said. Which points to the unconsciousness that is rife in the censorship that we are seeing on RUclips against songs that for example, speak of suicide etc. These themes are real life, and powerfully human. Why would any conscious energy being trying to withold this humanity and contain it from the freedom that it simply is. Anyways ... beautiful speech and ceremony.
I like to see everyone getting along and having some fun. Jason getting some the love that he deserved and I really, really enjoyed how much everyone seemed to have(except for Joe Perry for some reason)playing Train kept a Rolling. Everyone else was jamming out, laughing and just having a blast up there during that song. Good to see.
I think Trujillo blew some new energy into the band. Something about his personality, I think the guys feed off of him a little. And of course Jason was amazing for decades.
