    I've used it alot in my semi auto but wouldn't put it through my 457LRP as it's a bit greasy & inconsistent.

    seriously in my Cz At one the Geco is really rubbish, I gave my friends at the club more than 1,000 ammunition so that it can do plin qine but not precision they are not expensive in France - 5€ but it's so nonsense. friendship from France, Thierry

    Geco rifle is OK for training, but there are just too many flyers even after weight sorting.

    I have cz 457 MTR and with this round on 50m i am creating bigger hole, on 100m group is around 15-20mm. Very good cheep round, on one competition on 100m with this round i have taken first place against Anschutz, Walter and others CZ457 and they were shooting Eley Tenex, Lapua Midas+/Center x.

    Is there a big difference in accuracy between Derya tm22 and CZ 457? Right now I’m choosing between these two. I like the look of the Derya TM22, but if the accuracy of the CZ is much better, then I will buy the CZ. Your opinion is important to me

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  10 месяцев назад +1

      Oh if accuracy is #1 priority the cz wins hands down but if you are ok with 1.5 moa and want to plink and have fun engaging targets but still able to shoot moa the tm22 is better. Group shooting cz all the way

    Just a question. What trigger are you using and how light can you adjust it to. I’m looking for around 10 ounces.

      It’s a timney cz457 flat blade and I have mine around the 8-10 oz range with zero ND I always get pretty rough in making sure it’s safe

    I recently watched a whole series of the ammo test videos you posted in the last few weeks/months. Been hard to keep track of the results. After all the testing, how would you rank the top three or five?

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  11 месяцев назад +1

      My rifle seems to shot best most often with RWS. SK is also a good place to start. Basically best bang for the buck is sk standard plus (yellow box) it seems to be very accurate and the price is reasonable

    just curious, were these consecutive 5 shot groups, or did you let barrel cool?

    Shot my best groups with the GECO Semi-Auto with my CZ 457 Varmint 20.5" and Thompson Contender G1 16.25" match barrel rifle. Looking for the GECO Match to try but everyone is out of stock. In my CZ 457 Varmint it shot best with a sloppy headspace. Ya just never know about .22lr, as we all know....🥴

    So, close to Norma Tac-22 then.
    I’m getting many squib/very low firing rounds from Norma Tac-22 subsonic(1017fps). At $9 a box US I’m definitely disappointed with it. At least this stuff you tested seems better. Lower priced too, thanks! Great Video as usual!!

    So GECO made by RWS, it seems, would make a good practice and fouling round for RWS Rifle Match and R50. Decent groups for a day out. I've not seen GECO for sale in my area.
    Thanks for the review. 🙂

    I saw this ammo in the shop today and bought one packet to try. Supposed to be sub-sonic. The very first shot was way super-sonic and very high. Then I did a 5 shot group of which 4 shots was sub-sonic and a fair group but the 3rd one was hot again and very high. Next group, first 2 was sub-sonic and about 8mm ctc but the 3rd shot hot and high again. I packed up and put the rest of the packet in the "not good" shelf to be used for plinking.
    I then looked up and found this video of yours. I will not buy it again.

    WHat does that Geco cost vs the RWS? Makes me wonder if they are rebranded for quality reasons. Have you ever noticied if the magneto speed being attached to the barrel makes a difference on your groups? Just wondering if it might disturb barrel harmonics. I've heard some guys claim that simply adding a compensator in place of a thread protector can make a difference in groups. Thoughts? Good video Bro T

    @nelhead4807 11 месяцев назад +1

    I’m sure that’s the stuff that didn’t past quality control at rws but not terrible I’ve seen worse. I Wilkie to know the difference between it and Norma tho.

    Not seen that stuff around here ever. That seems OK tho lol. You mentioned a clean barrel. My 22lr rifles don't shoot anything well with a clean barrel. Thanks for another good one Bro!

    Geco is one of the cheapest 22 ammo in the uk
    The semi auto works very well in my 1710 with a tuner but guessing you have to expect flyers at that price point and high sd 😢
    Great video as always 👍👍

  • @EagleEyeShooting

    Couple things im going to suggest to give a try.
    1.) Remove that ported muzzle brake. I've found these devices tend to cause accuracy issues by not letting gasses escape efficiently for the 22lr.
    2.) Have a gunsmith cut off the 1/2x28 threads and recrown to a 20* crown. I guarantee the threaded bore section of that barrel is opened up. A crucial area for 22lr accuracy.
    I believe this will aid in your rifle not being as picky as it is. Or just have me build you one 😉

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the suggestion! I would love to have you build me something I’ll have to look into the laws on importing firearms. I have a couple subscribers that mentioned the break. I’ll definitely have to test that out. Thanks so much for the help cheers my friend!

      @@BROTUNED You should also test accuracy when single loading direct in the chamber and without the chrono on the barrel.

    • @BROTUNED
      @BROTUNED  Месяц назад

      The chronograph is mounted to the stock so nothing is interfering with barrel harmonics

    I have seen this ammo before but have not tried it. I tried RWS Riffle Target as you used in one of your videos in my CZ457 Varmint in an MDT Oryx chassis and it shoots 1 inch or better at 100 yds. Thank you for doing the leg work, really enjoy your videos, keep them coming. By the way I would like to buy a patch or sticker with your Brotuned logo to place on my riffles. Again thank you, always learn something new from you.

    Hey Brotuned.. I use Geco all the time for plinking at the range up to 350m on a 8” gong in my LRP with factory barrel. (I use SK rifle match for PRS). I find it consistent, if not overly precise. But for what the price point is in Australia, it’s definitely good value and serves a purpose.
