    Like you I find a 36 exp roll gets split over several sessions, which is annoying. Recently I'm bulk loading 22 exp rolls. I get about 18-20 shots depending on the camera. This length roll sits in a negative holder nicely organise with two rolls per page ... and I have less time with cameras out of action - loaded with the 'wrong' film ;-)

    You can never have to many cameras. I have 6 medium formats, 25 35mm cameras, 4 digital cameras, 40 to 50 35mm point and shoots, 10 or so digital compacts , then there is my collection of box brownies, Polaroid's, then movie cameras etc, etc, etc.......its its still not complete. I have an addiction.

    Good video! I'm sort of the same way - I have 11 cameras, several are medium format, but I have favorites that I use more than the others, yet, I can't part with any of them. I like to change up ever so often, mainly because of different types of scenes I shoot. Some may say that it's a distraction having numerous cameras, but I enjoy having the option to switch to a different one, and to me, that's what it's all about, having fun with photography. My M3 is my go-to camera when I'm shooting 35mm. My preferred mode of shooting is medium format simply because it's a little more complicated - I like challenges.

    Your M3 it looks about the same vintage as mine, so I'm guessing an early 1955 (ISH) one as it doesn't have the later preview lever on the body that allows you to see the different frame lines. So it should also be a double stroke?

    My cameras that I actually shoot is shrinking. The digital hardly ever gets used same with my 35mm camera. I mostly shoot my Hasselblad and 4x5. Reason is I am doing more and more landscapes instead of people and street. The weather is getting bad and now and I will put the 4x5 up and shoot the Hasselblad. This summer was fun shooting the 4x5 but I don’t want to put it in the rain we get here. It is made of Teak wood and a cloth bellows and carbon fiber board.

    The Stylus mju (Stylus Epic, in the USA) is apparently a cult classic. I sold them in the camera store in the 90s and was impressed with them. But they fetch $250 nowadays, which I wouldn't pay.
    @ 23:10. Got to bulk load. You buy film in a 100' roll, it's cheaper per shot, and you can load a cartridge with only 10 shots, if you want. Of course you can buy some films in 24 exp. rolls too. (though it's only $1 less per roll than 36)
    I'm going to have to check out a Lomo LC-A. If it's not just a junk lens, it might be worth getting.

Gracias!!!

    Great video Eduardo. Love the pakon in the background. (Lucky sod!). I'm the same reason 120 film. I love using my Pentax 67 and yashica mat 124g. For me it's the shorter shot run and bigger negatives.

    So this might be a bit of a stupid question, but don't the cameras attract dust like crazy when displayed like that on an open shelf? Maybe I'm just paranoid but I always keep my cameras in a closed cabinet when they're not in use, and I don't even own anything even remotely as valuable. Anyway, great to see you back!

  • @inteleditor
    @inteleditor 5 лет назад

    Hola Eduardo! great to see you again! What is the reason that you like 120 film more than the 135 film? I have just a couple of 135 cameras. Is it the quality or the experience working with a limited amount of film? Thank you, because at the moment i am thinking about buying a smaller camera. For those occasions when i dont want to take my larger cameras with me.

  • @gouzigounette
    @gouzigounette 5 лет назад

    Great to see you back. If you like the Rolleiflex and want a lighter model to carry around you should try the Baby Rolleiflex or the Primo Jr ( a.k.a. sawyer mark IV) It works with 127 film, but it's like a miniature version of the Rollei . As good as the big brother, but smaller and lighter.

Having been through graduate school (Jimmy Carter, God bless him, was president then), it is no surprise to me that you need a little more time between episodes. Whenever you get around to it, then I appreciate your work. In the meantime, enjoy your break and Happy New Year.
